PS: Hello Yingers, where have you been?

fitfox · 03/12/2007 18:48

Yingers!!

Rose - I had something similar with DD a few weeks ago - a boy knocked her flying and she wacked her head very hard on the gorund. She just lay there silently for about two minutes, ...and then came the unearthly wail....

I took her out of school and rushed to the GP. He said if she starts vomiting that is a sign of concussion. So look out for that.

How is he now?

He's probably OK - is it a hard floor or carpet? How far did he fall in height?

QC - whwre are you. I heard a rumour that your lucky pants were seen flying over the top of a cubicle in the ladies, at tremendous speed

[snort!]

Paddle -- Wahayyy!! Well done girl - a new home for you and Minipads. Can I have a glass of wine to celebrate?

Steppy/MrsR - LOL!! at wildlife! I found somehting very funny in his room today. He tidied yesterday 'cos I mentioned I needed to go up there. It looked spotless. But I nosed in the fridge today and saw he's stashed a mouldy food plate in there so I wouldn't see it!!

  • you gotta laugh haven't you?

He doesn't smell and is quite pleasant, but I think the issue is that he gets drunk very easily and then wants to invite the world and its wife back - to my home !

rosmerta · 03/12/2007 19:16

Thanks everyone, I did take him to A&E in the end, don't really know why I dithered about it . He is fine, just need to keep an eye on him.

I just can't believe he can climb out of his cot! Dh has taken him up to bed with strick instructions to make sure he's tucked in as tight as possible!

Hi Yingers!!

Btw, I think I offered to host tea & cake tomorrow afternoon, you're all still welcome!

fitfox · 03/12/2007 19:32

That's really nice Rose but I have to work

I'm really glad your DS is OK

QC - where are you? - hope you are OK!!

sfxmum · 03/12/2007 19:37

glad to hear all ok Ros

hi yingers

I used to see lots of foxes where we lived before, not so much here, saw lovely magpies today

must get dd sorted and in bed she seems full of beans

SJ99 · 03/12/2007 20:10

Glad Ros DS is ok, must've given you a bit of a fright. Sorry might have to give tom a miss, DS did perk up towards end of today but still not on full power

Congrats Paddle yay , hope you've cracked open the bubbly and enjoying being in your own place

Get better soon Bunyan

SFX - hope you get your apptmnt sorted

Steppie - Dh surprised me with Paris trip, he booked it while back yet it seems to have come round so fast

I saw a fox walking down our street the other day around 11am, it must've been a baby fox that had got lost as it looked quite small

SJ99 · 03/12/2007 20:13

Earlier today Ds managed to open the back of the TV remote and was dead chuffed to find 'crayons' inside (i.e. the batteries) I took the batteries off him which he wasn't too pleased about, but will need to tape up the back tonight so that he can't open it when I'm not there, nothing is safe anymore

bunyanvillas · 03/12/2007 20:21

Ros, glad all ok with ds. Will have to check in with you tomorrow re: tea & cake - actually ended up at A&E, myself on Sunday morning as was feeling so bad - have a chest infection and don't want to pass it on! (Felt like a complete fraud/drama queen going to A&E but was worth it in the end.)

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 09:10

paddle&Ros hope respective LOs are ok this morning.

am stuck in today waiting for parcels, always a joy

Paddlechick666 · 04/12/2007 09:22

morning all

bunyan, sorry to hear you're so unwell. it's horrid isn't it. think dd must have had similar. a week of vomiting then a chest infection and now the most dreadful fluey cold.

she had a good sleep last night tho and seems a lot brighter today.

i am running round headless chicken like but on my way to new abode to start painting.

god i hate painting, and moving!

can't wait till end of week when the majority is done.

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 09:44

bunyan sorry you are not well (completely missed it ) it is very hard especially when pregnant, hope you feel better soon

SushiMummy · 04/12/2007 09:52

Morning all.

Ros, glad DS is OK.

Paddle, hope DD makes full recovery soon. Congrats on completion!

bunyan, take it easy, hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyone else is well.

Am thinking of joining Gymboree in St Margaretes for the Sat morning class. Anyone been there?

SushiMummy · 04/12/2007 11:16

Oh, I had another letter from NHS reminding me of DS's MMR booster which we decided to ignore as it's too early/soon. Has anyone got it? My sister in law is a health visitor and she said the legislation has not changed so the booster should be given at pre-school age, not at 18 months. Am v puzzled at this.

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 11:22

sushi - I mentioned this to the doctor a couple of weeks ago. dd has MMR at 12m and we got a letter for the booster in October. she said she thinks they are doing the booster earlier, but I am ignoring it for now, maybe when she starts pre school.

rosmerta · 04/12/2007 13:06

I guess noone can make it this afternoon then?

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 13:21

hi Ros how is ds?
sorry we still waiting for a parcel, decided to put all deliveries for today and just sit it out.
which is just as well as dd is sitting on sofa with a cold demanding I wipe her nose with shouts of TISSUE

Steppie in adult fiction huge ongoing attempt to out UQD go on have a go

bunyanvillas · 04/12/2007 13:25

Ros - sorry - we would really love to have come over - but I'm still feeling so ill with this flu/sinus thing. Can't risk passing it on to you guys. Had a window of thinking I was better last week and then took a turn for the worse! ANYWAY - are you / is anyone around next week? Would you like to come over to mine? I am planning to be fully recovered and back to full power by the weekend!

rosmerta · 04/12/2007 13:36

No worries bunyan, hope you feel better soon. And yes, I am around next week so perhaps we could try to meet up then.

Ds is back to normal thanks, checked on him a couple of times through the night but no further trouble. Just think we won't be leaving him in his cot anymore unless he's tucked in!

Funnily enough though, I told my mum about it last night & apparently I did exactly the same when I was about 12mo. Guess I know where he got it from

bunyanvillas · 04/12/2007 13:37

bunyanvillas · 04/12/2007 13:40

Gosh, I am quite obviously not with it Next week, one afternoon would be good for us - Tues or Weds? You might as well come over while I have a relatively decent home to entertain you in - it's looking as though our move to Fawlty Towers may be ON for w/c 17th December! And after that I think dd and I will be found permanently residing at Kew Gardens while the electrician, plumber and decorator hopefully work some magic!

SushiMummy · 04/12/2007 13:41

sfx - have you worked out who he is in rl, then?

SushiMummy · 04/12/2007 13:44

bunyan - are you moving to Kew?[excited emoticon] Where about?[nosey emoticon]

bunyanvillas · 04/12/2007 13:48

Hi Sushi - no, moving within the area that we are in now - to a bigger house which is great - BUT it needs everything doing to it! Not sure if I am supposed to say on here what area it is but it is not Kew but in between Brentford and Hounslow/Richmond - so of course I say that I live in Richmond - only joking!

sfxmum · 04/12/2007 13:51

sushi not yet do you know? was dreaming he would be someone I really like but that is unlikely.
also not really with it today, and have dd permanently parked on my knee today

Ros if you do meet up next week would love to come except monday.

bunyan Kew is lovely in January anyway

SushiMummy · 04/12/2007 13:58

bunyan - how exciting to be able to move to a bigger house! I know it's a PITA to do all the work but I'm sure it's worth it in the end. We live in a 2-bed terrace and my DH sometimes works from home so we desparately need to move to a bigger house, too.
