erm, not sure if this will work but have started a thread in the interests of currying favour with MNHQ!

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 15:16

I think I've had my best sex in a bathroom at a party

Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 15:17

Did I really click "post message" then? What came over me?

MrsRecycle · 30/11/2007 15:38

Congrats PC - am so so pleased for you.

And should I say KC - lucky you - do tell all

ComeOVeneer · 30/11/2007 15:56

Sorry to hear your news sfx. Do look after yourself.

Paddle "yay". The end is in site. Here's hoping 2008 is a good year for you. In fact for all of us!

I some how seem to have mutated from class rep and pta secretary, to volunteering to be chairperson of the pta (and class rep but will need to find a replacement secretary). I really must learn how to say "no" . Mind you with ds being at nursery every morning 'til 1pm from January I guess I do have some free time.

sfxmum · 30/11/2007 16:00

I can only imagine what would happen if we were to sit around our laptops virtually sharing a real bottle of wine or two

stepfordwife · 30/11/2007 17:29

hi all
how's everyone diddling?

sfx, glad you're feeling more rested today. take it easy

paddle - WHOOOO-HOOOO - congrats on exchange. what a weight off your mind, eh? hope you're having a big fat glass of wine tonight

kew, hot sex in the bathroom...good lord, mrs!!!!!

well, survived ds1's class trip today. 23 6-year-olds on the tube to bethnal green. let's just say, i will be having a large glass of wine this evening.
the museum of childhood is fab, tho.
have a good evening, everyone

stepfordwife · 30/11/2007 17:31

ds2's class trip
not that it makes any odds to you
but in the interest of accuracy

lemonaid · 30/11/2007 17:56

COV you have a toddler I'm sure he can give you lessons in saying "No"!

Or, if not, I can lend you one who can...

Paddlechick666 · 30/11/2007 18:50

okay, does going in the loft and heaving a bunch of boxes down the ladder then shoving boxes into dd's room (staying with GPs) then opening bag of sweet chilli crisps and bottle of wine constitute packing?

have chosen my new tv, dvd and digital recorder today. just tried to order online from tesco but it says some rubbish about next day delivery which is no darn good!

had a bad night with dd last night and spent all day on conference calls today.

I too tiredy to do packin........

OP posts:
SJ99 · 30/11/2007 19:03

Not sure that constitutes as packing but the chilli crisps and wine sounds good

Could do with some myself, DS been really hard work today, been a real limpet, poor thing. At least the fever has gone down. I have to go to Tesco tonight (great Fri night for me, not) but Dh stuck in traffic on way back from Bristol, unsure when he'll turn up

My best mate from uni is coming to visit from Leeds tom, I haven't seen her in 3yrs, cannot wait! I hope DS perks up otherwise may have to cancel...

Steppie you deserve the wine seeing as you managed to survive the class trip AND the tube

fitfox · 30/11/2007 19:26

Padle do you need any help packing over the weekend? R U completing on Monday?

Kew - on the floor or the toilet? Or in the bath?

sfx -I'm a bit shocked at how unprofessional the sonographr was, particularly dealing with women who are distressed and vulnerable . [big hugs]. I found it comforting when I MCed that I could tell people. Do you know why it happend this time?

SJ - glad DS is a wee bit better

Steppy I'd love to go to that Museum - what does it exhibit? I imagine it to be full of dolls houses and teddies who are not called Mohammed.

Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 19:56

None of those three Foxie - but I was young it was a LONNG time ago and embarassingly we discovered that it was the only bathroom in the house...

My, how life has changed.

MrsRecycle · 30/11/2007 20:21

Oh Steppie - I did that school trip this time last year - with Reception kids - its a great place isn't it? But very tiring looking after all the kids - mind you we coached it so at least no stress on the tube.

Foxie - I've often thought that we should all do a meet-up there with our younger kids one day. Not so many teddies but lots of things to play with (there's a surprise!) and dress up. dd2 even got to make her own doll from a wooden spoon. That is terrible about that poor woman isn't it?

Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 20:37

sfx have you thought about discussing metformin with your GP (don;t know hw well read they are) it can help controlling symptoms of PCOS. I don;t know if early miscarriage is one of the symptms it can help but worth some research I would think.

Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 20:39

Lemonaid - are you still doing any photography? My mum wants to buy me an arty black and white photo of DS (or him and me)for Xmas

fitfox · 30/11/2007 22:30

Kew - does that man there was a queue? For the toilet I mean [snort] [snort]

On a higher note - MrsR great idea apart from it would involve tubing it with kid - maybe next summer?

Kewcumber · 30/11/2007 22:41

yes there was

You can measure stair gate tomorrow and I might have time to sort out some of DS's too small stuff. Most of its no good as most of the stuff he;s grown out of is summer but I do have a navy snowsuit donated by MrsBigD in pretty good nick still if you think you might use one (KC tries to throw FF off the bathroom scent)

sfxmum · 30/11/2007 23:21

there was KC getting all sweaty in the shower cubicle with unknown person and as they make a plan for a discreet exit they are confronted by an line of giggling women crossing their legs

anyway I will have a chat with the GP but right now I just want to go running, hope things are settled by sunday and I can manage a little jog, I feel tense and this usually makes me feel better, not sure I want a full investigation or meds but will consider it.

steppie kudos to you and mrsR at least they were not teens is all I can say.

stepfordwife · 01/12/2007 06:21

hello everyone
how you all diddling?

foxie, yes, the museum of childhood is fab. there were loads of exhibits - the most stunning dolls' houses, old straw dolls, those scary-looking victorian porcelain dolls, hobby horses, prams, etc etc, all through decades up to today - iggle piggle et al.

agree well worth a visit , mrs r- the kids had a , hate this word unless it means a shed, 'workshop" in the morning so only had an hour to scoot around the museum.

the kids were actually really well behaved (only person i had to tell off in my group was, of course, ds2) it's just the responsibility of making sure you don't leave smeone's precious dd or ds standing alone on a tube platform

paddle - i think that sounds a good start on packing - you deserved those crisps

sj, glad ds feeling better and you get to see your friend. enjoy!

MIL arriving any minute, ds1 went off with dh to pick her up. went downstairs to moan as front door wide open and ds1 was standing on the doorstep saying what a beautiful moon it was....ahhhh. still told him to shut the bloody door, tho, as it was freezing!
