Xmas stiff and Love Muscle...

rosmerta · 27/11/2007 13:14

hi all, am feeling shattered, ds woke himself up coughing at 1am & then stayed awake chatting & singing until about 4am.

Anyway, am hoping he'll have a long nap so he can enjoy this afternoon!

Paddle, nothing like annoying landlords. Hope it will all be sorted soon.

rosmerta · 27/11/2007 13:15

oh dear, I see the tone is dropping again (or should that be drooping ?)

fitfox · 27/11/2007 13:33

[snigger]

stepfordwife · 27/11/2007 13:35

hee, hee

Kewcumber · 27/11/2007 13:37

sod off the lot of you [grumpy emoticon]

stepfordwife · 27/11/2007 13:37

right, got my grown-up head back on (for a while anyway)
weekend swim with littlies sounds good.

sun would be particularly fab for me as could then pop "next door" to cheer on my boys playing rugby

fitfox · 27/11/2007 13:39

Rose well done in getting so much work done Were you nervous about doing the teaching bit? (I would be - I hate doing presentations and things - feel all exposed)

Paddle - you'll be rid of that darned landlord soon

I'd love to do Sat morning swims - DS1 can swim a bit and DD can't swim at all yes. Sounds fun. I think swimming is the one thing that might get me out of bed on a Saturday morning (Sundays are out though - need to pray)

DS2's teeth are just cutting through now so he has gone from 2 to 6 teeth in the past 24 hours. The Medised worked wonders last night - he only woke me 3 times, which was fabulous

Am contemplating private swimming lessons - very expensive but I am feeling motivated (hoping I get some Christmas money which will help fund them).

fitfox · 27/11/2007 13:40

BTW you Mum's of daughters - you will sucummb to a Pink fluffy world
eventually - its a question of when, not if

stepfordwife · 27/11/2007 13:43

..or saturday mornings....(only if you say a prayer for my lapsed soul, foxie)

now, now, kew....grump not. you've made my day.
hee hee
ha ha
anyhows, not as cringy as asking a man of advanced years to show you his love muscle...

fitfox · 27/11/2007 13:50

A Christmas Stiff - you'll be lucky

[wishful thinking emoticon]

Paddlechick666 · 27/11/2007 13:57

so will i be, foxie

OP posts:
rosmerta · 27/11/2007 14:01

I'm still sniggering here! Very childish I know...

Foxie, was nervous yes but everyone had to do something and as its essentially what the whole course is about I guess the sooner we start practicing the better!

bunyanvillas · 27/11/2007 14:16

I could do with a stiff drink nevermind a stiff anything else - you depraved crew! Recovering from flu in the bunyan household and frankly still feeling pants. Literally staggered to Kew this morning for a quick trot around in the rain and 20 mins at C&C and now back home hoping for a lie down in a mo. Unfortunately a tractor driver at Kew caught me at a very low moment and when he suddenly appeared right behind me - as tractors do - ummmm I started shouting at him and am sorry to say that I called him a dk oops Never mess with a pregnant, tired woman of a certain age He sped off at 2 miles an hour killing himself laughing. Yes, am officially jobless as of Friday and planning my new career as an alpha mum for the next year - HA HA! Well, things are moving on with the wreck and we may be in before Christmas - although t'will be far from the standard of paddle's new gaff with swanky new floors etc - will probably end up at Kew every day in an effort to escape

sfxmum · 27/11/2007 14:22

you saucy lot

dd seems to be having a wardrobe crisis moment I really am losing the will to stand up maybe PJ's and coat will do

bunyan that is why it is often scary at C&C

rosmerta · 27/11/2007 19:05

sfx, so sorry I had to abandon you in Brentford , hope you got home ok. I definitely owe you something now! How about tea & cake one day?

Sj, ds had a great time this afternoon, thanks, hope your ds enjoyed himself too!

sfxmum · 27/11/2007 20:21

thanks SJ we had a lovely time despite my zombie like state.

Ros no need to feel bad, decided to walk and we got home shortly after 7pm no worries and good exercise for me, dd waved at the cars and seemed quite entertained she is about to have bath and should be asleep before 9 as she looks very tired indeed

SJ99 · 28/11/2007 08:48

Morning all

I'm away from MN for a day and I miss all the gags

DS really enjoyed his party , especially the train, top marks to Paddle! I went to gym after, hope I worked off some of that cake

Off to music soon, then DS finally has his MMR appointment this afternoon, I really hope he doesn't react to it. The said they will keep him at surgery for 30mins after to check he's ok, fingers crossed all goes well...

Paddlechick666 · 28/11/2007 09:36

good luck today sj, am sure it'll go fine.

thanks for a great party, dd loved that keyboard! oh and the cake LOL!

my little drug addict is demanding "med'cin" at bedtime now. last night i told her no as she's all better now and she insisted she was ill. i said no you're not anymore.

she then says "but i got a cough mummy" followed by 2 of the most pathetic little fake coughs i've ever heard in my life!

watch this space, the girl is destined for an oscar

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 28/11/2007 09:48

if its any consolation SJ - DS was fine afetr his. He got a temperature for a day abouta week later (commonest side effect) and that was it.

sfxmum · 28/11/2007 10:14

good morning all

SJ hope all goes well, it is good that you should wait at the surgery, I guess if they thought the reaction should be stronger they would have done it at the hospital.

hope everyone ok today

dd did a merry dance last time between her bed and mine all night, complete with screaming dreams, dh managed to sleep through all that.
