Hi Harri, would love to go to Ireland. I've said to dh we should go for the weekend while I am still on maternity leave.

nothing from FG1 yet but if all still want to meet maybe go for 12pm Starbucks Enfield provisionally.

Vicky31 · 18/06/2008 18:32

Luc is exactly like that too. He's really tired but doesn't want to go to sleep and miss anything. Once he was used to going to sleep in his cot I would put him in there at the first sign of tiredness - extra whingey, rubbing eyes, yawning - and most of the time he will settle down to sleep fairly quickly. Hasn't worked at all today though - he's a bit constipated and not a happy bunny at all.
Dh has bought guitar hero for his playstation so that will be my evening...

Vicky31 · 18/06/2008 18:33

Can't make 12pm - is it possible to do a bit later, say 1pm?

Harri1 · 18/06/2008 19:10

I can do either
look forward to catching up xx

Jello39 · 19/06/2008 11:11

Hi All,

ok we will make it 1pm Starbucks Enfield tomorrow. hope you can make it FG1.

c u there.

FG1 · 19/06/2008 19:57

Hi!
Been busy with new house...sorry! Yes I can make it tomorrow!
See you!

Vicky31 · 19/06/2008 22:35

Am trying to get doc appointment for tomorrow but hope 1pm will be ok for me. Will know in the morning so I'll let you know if I can't make it. My doctors has a silly system where you have to phone in the morning for an appointment that afternoon.
A good day today. Went for lunch and shopping with a friend who had day off work and my mum had Luc.

Jello39 · 19/06/2008 22:59

ok Vicky- making the doc's is always a pain. that sounds like a lovely day you had. I t must have been nice to enjoy being out without the worry of Luc. much as I love my ds it's so lovely when my friend takes him for a few hours.

Vicky31 · 20/06/2008 08:45

Morning! 1pm is fine - I may be 10 minutes or so late but I'll be there.
See you all later.

Harri1 · 20/06/2008 18:22

Hi ladies , hope you had a good catrch up, so sorry we didin't make it but a car crashed into us on our way to enfield, my car is a mess but most imprtantly erin is fine and I just have a bit of whiplash. Both been to the doc and she was given the all clear.
Will catch up with you all after our holidays
xx

Vicky31 · 21/06/2008 12:14

What an awful thing to happen. Glad to hear you are both ok.
Have a lovely holiday.

FG1 · 24/06/2008 19:42

Oh dear! Hope both of u are o.k.

I will be moving in about 2-3 weeks harri1 - sorry for the belated answer but I thought I would tell u on Friday in person...hopefully meet up with you soon.

My mum is going to visit tomorrow and help with organising stuff for new house. I'm really looking forward to seeing her as we have been so busy recently that we haven't seen my family that much.

Jello39 · 25/06/2008 12:20

Hi Harri,

sorry to hear about the acident. glad u r both ok. have a lovely holiday, c u both when u r back.

nice to see those who met up on Fri. Aaron has started feeding a lot more than usual so he may be going through another growth spurt.

Trying to get him onto a bottle for the expressed milk. trying the breastflow bottle which is supposed to mimic the breast as baby controls the flow. It may takeome time. will let you know FG1 how it goes.

FG1 · 25/06/2008 12:53

Is that the tommee tipee one? I've got that one. I have tried the bottle again this week. Ali will suck it but just spits out the milk but I will keep on trying. He tried banana yesterday and loved it...not so keen on carrot or baby rice.

Taste for London was really good on Saturday. Luckily it didn't rain whilst we were there. I saw Atul Kotcher and Gary Rhodes. I really wanted to see Gordon Ramsey but I don't think he was there this year. Had lots of nice food and was very full by the end. Surprisngly, there were no baby changing facilities at the event!!! There were so many people with babies...I am going to complain! It was difficult going on the underground with the buggy. I wouldn't be able to go on my own.

Vicky31 · 26/06/2008 15:46

The underground is just about do-able with a little light weight buggy but the escalators are still a bit scary. I certainly wouldn't attempt it with our big pushchair.
Have you tried apple and pear for Ali yet? They were both things that Luc took to and loved at once and they pulp down nicely.
Food show sounds yummy - must try to go next year.

Jello39 · 27/06/2008 12:10

Hi

FG1 - trying the First Years bottle - sucks but pushes it out. only tried once. will have a go again at the weedkend when we have more toime. Wonder when is the best time to try them.

re underground I have to use next week and was going to take the stroller but I may try his baby carrier instead as it is a relatively easy journey. Of to the dentist for my check. not looking forward to it as sure I may have a small hole.

glad Sat was good. I like Atul and Gary's cooking. I actually met Gary Rhodes at his restaurant Rhodes in the Square, some years ago now. Our company had an evening when he cooked trad British food. You can tell us all about it when we meet up again. I'd love to go one year.

FG1 · 27/06/2008 12:44

Hi all! My mum is staying with me at the mo supposedly to help with my packing but she hasn't spent time with me and Ali like this for ages so just been catching up. Mum says its like a holiday as she off work which is very busy. She has also broken my curtains and door knob so just been fixing things rather than doing anything else!

Ali had apple puree this morning with baby rice and ate it all up. Thanks for the tip Vicky!

Mine · 29/06/2008 15:51

hi everyone!!
We got back ery early this morning, am vvveerryy tired.

How is everybody??
missed you guys!
xxxxx

Vicky31 · 30/06/2008 10:46

Hi Mine
How was the holiday? What did Eren get up to? You've come back to some nice weather.

I've had a not very nice week of food poisoning which I don't seem to be able to shift. Dh has the next couple of days off though so I have some help with Luc - who luckily is being a little angel.

Looking forward to hearing all about your holiday.

FG1 - have you moved yet?

How are you all going with the bottles?

Jello39 · 30/06/2008 23:36

Hi Mine,

glad you are back, hope you had a lovely holiday. you will have to tell us all about it.

Aaron doing fine. struggling to to get him on a bottle. growth spurt seems to be over, he's getting heavier by the day.

FG1 - always nice to catch up with one's Mum!

Vicky - get better. let DH look after Luc and get some well earned rest.

Harry are you out there or still on holiday?

Mine · 01/07/2008 13:40

hi
jello - Aaron likes his mama's boob too much!!! He'll get there though in his own time.

Vicky - take advantage of the TLC form DH. Hope you feel better soon.

I think Harri is still in Cyprus, the lucky lady.

Lots to tell about the holiday. I'll bore you with it when i see you next.

Anyone fancy meeting up at all....??

Jello39 · 02/07/2008 12:10

Mine - busy rest of this week, can do next week any day except Tue as Aaron has his jabs and hosp appt.

FG1 · 02/07/2008 21:05

Hi! I'm moving this weekend, at last!!
hope u r feeling better Vicky. Where did you go on holiday again, Mine?

Not going well with bottle. Ali does drink water from the doidy cup so might try milk from that. He is eating 3 times a day now. Its amazing how quickly they progress.

Went to beautician today after such a long time. Nice to spend some me time!

Next week is better for me aswell.
see you!
