thanks ladies, i've given him 3 1/2 oz of water today so if that doesn;t work i'm going to try orange juice.
If that fails, then we're off to the doctors.

He's never been this bad, i mean he really screams, goes bright red and is in immense pain. Its horrible to watch.

re weaning - its going ok. Eren loves weetabix with mushed banana or grated apple/pear mixed in. or same fruit, but with Ready Brek.

For lunch / dinner i'm less strict/regular with what i give him as i like to try different things. He likes to munch on toast crusts with lashings of butter, he loves feta cheese. I usually have a mush of veggies and fruits, which he loves too.
the only thing i can;t quite do yet is give him more of what we eat for dinner.
I don;t know how some mums do it.... we usually eat at 7'ish after he's gone to bed, but the flavours would be quite strong for him surely as we love garlic and chili. HV said i should try him on fish pie and shepherds pie etc... unless i puree it, he can;t eat that!! I also don;t want him to eat all his meals in a puree as i'm scared he'll then get used to all his foods with no lumps....

I started weaning so confidently as he was just hoovering up everything, but once i moved on from purees, i've become less confident iykwim.

How's Luc and Erin getting on??
I guess Erin is a bit too young for solids just yet!

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site and I've just had another baby ( well actually nearly 12 wks now). I also have a four year old.
Is there going to be a meet up in enfield soon? I live close to Enfield town and would love to meet other Mothers for a coffee or something.

Hey grumble don't give up on us we do met in enfield town too, just one of our group just had her ds and she's in p.green and we'd like her to join us if she's up for it
Perhaps we'll meet in enfield again next time?

Mine keep going with the water and juice but def see doc if ur relly worried better to check it out. Don't need to worry about solids yet with dd those joys to come no doubt.
Don't think you need to worry too much about purees just yet he can have them a little longer and then blend it so there are only a few lumps and as the days/ weeks (not sure about timescales sorry) go on make it a bit lumpier etc

Hi Ladies,

sorry I've been quiet for a bit. lo attached to me nearly all the time even when he sleeps at moment. Parents coming and going. Driving me a bit mad with their well meaning advice, but suddenly after a quick blow out just letting it flow over my head now.

Nights not too bad now as he gets a top up bottle.

DH is helping out(so sensitive!!). He gets upset when the baby cries so much as he wishes he could tell us what was wrong.

Will try tomorrow, not sure if I can make it as I have to wait for mv and not sure what time she will turn up.

I see everyones OK,, welcome Grumble.

do hope I can get there tomorrow.

i had a lovely day. Hope you didn;t mind dh tagging along.

In a way it was great for him to see that my 'cyber friends' as he calls it are normal lovely people!!
He's excited abt summer or any kind of sunshine to get the BBQ going.

Harri (its hard not to use RL names now!) hope you can get Dessanga (probably spelt that REALLY wrong) on here too. She's lovely.

Hope we can meet up next week, maybe you guys can come over to my derelict castle and i may even make you lunch....

Jello - very annoying abt mv, i hope Aaron is being good, and bf is improving for you. Thinking of you

Hi mine had a great time too, was lovely to meet dh as we don't uually get to see other halves. Hope we weren't too much for him.

Desanka said she'd love to meet up next time too so our little group is growing.

Vicki- good to have a chat whilst walking hope Luc sleeps well tonight.

Hi Girls,

sorry I missed you all today as I could have come. I was really annoyed about the mv as I wasn't booked in last Wednesday either for my appointment as they should have and was then late on the Thu.

Promised me theywill come tomorrow. Anyway it was nice to walk out with dh and baby for a few hours.

Harri1 - will take you up on the offer no doubt in the near future. Its so hard to take him out when all he does is cry when he is not feeding or sleeping. I was lucky he slept today, I think the air and motion of the stroller helped.

Just had a quick look at the stork club website and it sounds like a really good idea. I need to be home next Wed as having my new kitchen fitted but let me know how you get on and I may come along next time. It sounds especially good for you Jello getting through those first tough weeks - I could have done with something like that. How's things going?

It was really good to meet up yesterday, and Luc enjoyed it too. I have lots going on next week and a friend visiting but hopefully will be able to join you again.

Vicky - things not too bad. feeding is still all over the place and he seems to get an awful lot of wind which I guess is the reason for all the crying.

We officially registered Aaron yesterday so we're off to register him to my doctor today. HV wanted me to register him to one in Palmers Green to be close to home but my family have always gone to the same doctor in Wood Green (10 min drive)since I was born and he's a good doctor.

Girls, do you think I should register him closer ie, could walk it in 5/10 mins. Anyone had to rush dd to doctor??.

Mw came yesterday which was glad for.very apologetic for me being missed day before.

hi jello- i would register him where you feel happiest and with someone you trust.If it's an emergency you candrive there or go straight to hospital. (touch wood you'll never need to though)

i would go with the family doctor too. It makes such a difference if you know your doc is a good one.

Wind/Crying....... does he have colic..?

Hi All

busy day yesterday with visitors and going to mother-in law. So tired spent most of today on sofa.

Thks for advice re doctor and now registered him with mine.

Harru - trying infacol, it does help but not totally alleviate. someone suggested I try elevating his head slightly in his moses basket so tried that last night which seemed to have helped as well.

infacol takes a while to really kick in, you have to be really religious in giving it to him with every feed.
Eren went through soooooo many bottles i lost count.

It doesn't last forever Jello, he was a different baby entirely once he hit the 6 week mark.

We took Eren to a cranial oesteopath from 3 weeks old which really helped with colic and sleep. It was recommended by a really good HV. I can give you the details if you need it.

Did you tell us abt your birth.....?????
