There was a meetup around a year or two ago? I recently posted on another thread about a free Saturday family session in CB4. I guess as the kids get older you get sucked into school/preschool cliques. I'm in Cambridge, CB4.

Throughgrittedteeth · 05/03/2012 20:35

Ah my mum lives in CB4 golden, I'm always up for making new friends so would encourage a meet up Smile

helenlynn · 05/03/2012 20:36

I live in Cambridge, in Coleridge. I met someone last week who identified who I was on Mumsnet within about three sentences, but then I do use my real name all over the web which makes that sort of thing rather easier. I wouldn't call myself a MNer though, only just joined.

helenlynn · 05/03/2012 21:04

Ooh and reading through properly I see she was here a few days ago too waves. (Am I supposed to read the whole lot before posting? Is that a terrible breach of etiquette? Why am I sitting here hungry with supper still in the fridge?)

sairygamp · 06/03/2012 08:21

I live near you HL. Was it me...?

helenlynn · 06/03/2012 10:05

Wasn't you sairygamp, but hello!

sairygamp · 06/03/2012 10:45

hello Smile do you have children at 'local' schools Wink

AuntieBulgaria · 06/03/2012 17:32

I could start a Shock second thread for thems that are interested in a RL meeting, so people on here can just continue to say Hi and remain anon if they prefer?

well done OMDB for getting us talking...

Throughgrittedteeth · 06/03/2012 20:47

Start a new thread Auntie!

AuntieBulgaria · 06/03/2012 21:09

Sorry teatimebathtimebedtime got in the way. Done it now.

here

helenlynn · 06/03/2012 22:06

sairygamp, no, I have a seven-month-old. I have put a photo of me in my gallery for ease of stalking :) (but not made it appear on my profile as people don't necessarily want to see me gurning without warning).

sairygamp · 06/03/2012 23:18

hee hee. will hunt you out Wink

hugeheadofhair · 07/03/2012 00:01

Perhaps Cambridge mums prefer to remain anonymous? I know my best friend is on here, but I don't even know her user name! Although now that Tugamommy has mentioned she's got a daugher in Q.E. I'll be tempted to show off a little bag of Pombears in the playground...

AuntieBulgaria · 11/03/2012 19:47

Meet up thread over here.

Overmydeadbody, Neverknowinglyundersold, Lenin, Fishandjam, MrsPlez; we're trying for dates other than the 1st April.

And everyone else - hop over if you're interested. We're all pretty much meet-up virgins, I think.

TheFowlAndThePussycat · 14/03/2012 13:27

How lovely, I'm sat in a cafe in PR Mill Rd drinking a proper coffee & listening to two people talking about how keeping pets is wrong. I love Cambridge [content face]

cambridgeferret · 31/03/2012 21:58

.
Not in city but 9 miles south. Never met any fellow Cambridge Mners.

Buttertart · 19/04/2012 22:17

Hello? Anyone still here? Only just found this thread! I live in CB1 and only get blank stares when I mention MN. Although it hasn't been often. Hope there are still people out there!

AuntieBulgaria · 19/04/2012 23:28

Hello, yes, still here. A small few of us are meeting at Milton Country Park on Saturday if you want proof!

everybodysang · 20/04/2012 10:30

I've just seen this thread. Hmm. I am also in a village, and I think I might know some of you, vaguely, perhaps. Who mentioned pig?

iliketea · 20/04/2012 10:37

Maybe Cambridge MNers are just a bit shy? I wear my mumsnet scarf out and about and have never noticed another one! :)

AuntieBulgaria · 20/04/2012 22:24

EverybodySang - that was me and TheFowlandthePussyCat realising we know one another. I was checking her livestock ownership credentials to confirm it was who I suspected. Grin

ChoccyJules · 23/04/2012 22:48

I'm over here in Queen Edith's.
