Why are there so few MNers in Cambridge?

Just curious really, as to why it might be

I am 13 miles north of Cambridge and have a few mumsnet mates. I have 2 mumsnet scarves and haven't spotted anyone else wearing one.

I spotted an MN scarf once, in purple, but was too far away to do anything about it.

I'm in central Cambridge! Never admitted to anyone that I go on mn though, and rarely post on the local board.

What is a mumsnet scarf?

I'm in a south cambs village. I wear my (brown) MN scarf in the school playground sometimes and nobody has ever given me a secret sign.

DD only has fruitshoots (or is it frootshoots?) -when she bullies me into submission-- once in a blue moon though.

I keep on telling people that I go on a parenting forum to see if anyone bites.. the only one who did asked me if it was the elimination communication forum..hmm no.. but I did use washable nappies (aware for most pathetic answer goes to ME!!)

MN scarf is an animal-print style scarf you can buy on Ebay in a number of colours. I don't own one myself.

Cambs village here too - Swaffhams, and work in Newmarket.

I'm another N Cambridge village resident - I know looooads of people who read mumsnet, but mostly lurkers I think. I don't have a scarf though and my kids drink fruitshoots quite regularly so I expect to have my registration cancelled pretty soon.

I'm in Cambridge. DS is in, I believe, a quite MNetty school. I don't unfortunately have a MN scarf. And have only once met a "known" MNetter. Ahhh! This is very cathartic, almost like AA
