Just curious really, as to why it might be

My 4yo ds has a birthday party to go to on the 1st in the afternoon but my husband is taking him so I could bring my 6yo ds and 18mo dd to Milton Country Park... Hopefully nice weather though eh!

Grabbed a few bits in h and m today outside the grand arcade. I always think Cambridge seems like such a "mumsnetty" type place! Found myself eyeing up passers by for mn scarves and fruit shoots today...

Damn I can't make the 1st April as we are going on holiday for the easter break. We will have to do another one.

cbmum I cycle past Butterfly day nursery every morming on my way to work Grin

rubyrubyruby you can't be the person I see with the purple scarf unless you regularly hang around in the playground of the swchool off Jesus Green? Do you? Are you?

overmydeadbody · 02/03/2012 20:20

I'm back on the 9th though so could meet up at Milton C P after then sometime as I am off work for the entire week.

Ooh, I'm local too.I live in the centre but work in FruitShoot's part of the world. I may have totally outed myself. I have only ever once mentioned Mumsnet in RL and the lady I spoke to ranted about how mumsnetters are evil bitches for 5 minutes so I never bothered again! I have never been to Jesus Green park or Milton Country park or Newnham park. I am a cambridge fraud!

sairygamp · 02/03/2012 20:26

Well I don't recognise you by that description Rosie - you need to be more 'persific' about where you live Grin

overmydeadbody · 02/03/2012 20:28

I don't recognise you wither Rosie. Do you have kids at any of the city centre schools?

Is it actually possible to get to Milton by public transport these days, or do you have to go to the science park and then walk the rest of the way?

Not read the whole thread, but anyone else admit to being a Botanical Garden groupie?

EmmaCB1 · 02/03/2012 20:58

Hello from Cambridge, with a child at Morley and an almost daily botanical gardens habit. My garden is tiny and I use it as an extension!

Whenever I mention mumsnet at the sch gate I get blank expressions. They don't know what they're missing!

DonInKillerHeels · 02/03/2012 20:59

Hi Emma, I bet we're neighbours... if you see a toddler boy in a red coat next time you're at the Botty, give us a wave :-)

overmydeadbody · 02/03/2012 21:07

MrsPles I think there is a bus stop outside Tesco at Milton? I have never used it through as I always cycle to Milton along the river from the city centre.

AuntieBulgaria · 02/03/2012 21:10

Mrsplez - we have but one direct bus, the Number 9, which goes every 30 mins allegedly; from Drummer Street and along Mitcham's corner and Milton rd. But not on a Sunday.

No citi bus for us, oh no.

EmmaCB1 · 02/03/2012 21:14

Will do, doninkillerheels and presumably I should also be looking for a pair of jimmy choos?!

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 02/03/2012 21:18

There is a bus stop outside Tesco, but they stopped running the Citi2 to Milton about a year ago. Which explains why I haven't been to Milton in about a year....

Will check out the 9 for future reference Auntie, thank you.

We haven't been to the Botanical Gardens for a while either. DD loves the stepping stones in the middle and giving me premature grey hairs by jumping carelessly across them

BestLaidPlans · 02/03/2012 21:22

I'm another near Ely villager. I don't know any MNers in real life. I did go to some Netmums meetups with a friend when DD was tiny though...

ohmygoshandgolly · 02/03/2012 21:51

We are also regulars at the Botanics...and I too have a toddler boy in a red coat (when i can get him to wear it of course)

No fruitshoots in the cafe there...

sairygamp · 02/03/2012 22:31

emma I too have a child at morley - am v excited - what year? what do you look like? should I wink or cough or....

DonInKillerHeels · 03/03/2012 08:25

No, it's one of the places I wear sensible shoes!

fluffywhitekittens · 03/03/2012 08:32

Bestlaidplans, I went to a Netmums meet up last week ..... :)

Nosleeptillgodknowswhen · 03/03/2012 19:11

An infrequent mumsnetter here from cambridge... Mostly lurking apart from recent muslin crises.

NanBullen · 03/03/2012 19:51

overmydeadbody · 03/03/2012 20:46
