Wow we filled the thread guys. So as I was about to Say UR you've probably had squirrel if you've eaten Chinese . Think I've had most things. Just don't ask eat. Roasting hot here, very busy but having a blast. Enjoyed our new gym yesterday and picnic in the park tonight which was wonderful. Live music, handsome young men - need I say more.

With your family's past history, good for you for being up to the turkey fryer, Cali.

Our weekend is much more boring. Caitlin has a birthday party to go to, and I'm going to be frantically getting the house ready for the in-laws arrival on Tuesday. We should probably do something a little more fun, as this is the last day off except for Thanksgiving DH will have until a few days after Christmas.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:49

What a scardey bunch we are.

Hooray for vacation and christmassy stuff

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:50

scaredy? Sensible might be a better word.

Check your zip, Dooney

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:52

Snap

I'm wearing knit gym-type pants trousers. There are no zippers. You're still really cute when you're insulting.

alipiggie · 22/11/2008 03:57

lol. I'm a big wimp and I'd be the first to admit it . However, I am planning on plunging headfirst down mountains this year, the first time in 23 years - so maybe I do have a slight deathwish. That and maybe Thanksgiving dinner with the Ex pmsl.

Presumably on skis or something, Ali? Not as a consequence of your cosy dinner with ex?

I'm wondering if I should invite mine to the Thanksgiving Parade but I feel that would be just too much. But DS would love it, I think.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 04:20

Oh, I need something very tiny/ lightweight (and cheap) that I can send in an envelope with an xmas card to England for friends who always send me a token gift. I think I sent Tootsie rolls last time. Any inspiration?

And where does one find them, Cali?

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 04:52

Half a piece of toast?

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 05:02

Does it have tons of butter on it?

Don't be ridiculous. It would get the envelope all messy, and probably render the address illegible.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 14:52

lol

I thought of you when I opened my mail Dooney - I have a survey to do based on DS's pain/ fever over two weeks. He is unlikely to have on or if so, minimal and short lived, but I did think how much work it might be for you. Actually, you might have it to - I think it is from one of the sites you use.

dooneygirl · 23/11/2008 17:41

I didn't check yesterday's mail until this morning, but guess what I have in there?

SuperBunny · 23/11/2008 18:04

I think you have your work cut out for you! I hope you are all better.

I made fudge! Am about to attempt Kendall Mint Cake and Tablet. Well, after my bath. Which may well not be the best order to do things.

I'm listening to a R4 program about pork pies.

Will post recipe later - made it before and it was sooooo good.

More important : Marks & Sparks now DELIVER to the US

Knickers!

dooneygirl · 23/11/2008 22:13

What is Tablet?

Christmas trees, guys. Oregon produces the most in the nation, and most of them come from where I live. We went for a drive, and what an amazing sight!!!!!

mananny · 23/11/2008 22:49

I cannnot (will not) believe it's only a month til Xmas!!! Is anyone else as badly organised as me? I have NOTHING done except I did buy cards this weekend. Part of the problem is I am ridiculously poor. I just had to pay next semester's tuition and ouch is all I can say.

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving (apart from deep frying turkeys LOL)? I'm going to the mountains with my bosses, and am going to stuff myself stupid with mashed potatoes and green bean casserole and pumpkin pecan pie mmmmmmmmmm droooooool.....

at trees. Did you know, Illinois produces 80% of the US's pumpkins? Not nearly as exciting as trees.

Tablet is a bit like fudge but crumbly and delicious. I remembered I need to get a wooden spoon before I can make it

SuperBunny · 23/11/2008 23:43

Oh, I'm going to a friend's for thanksgiving. I'd like to take DS to the parade but it starts at 8 in the morning and it will be cold.

SuperBunny · 24/11/2008 00:57

If I need 3 cups of cooked and mashed sweet potatoes (how do I make mashed sweet potatoes? I only ever do them as wedges) how many sweet potatoes do I need to buy?
