Wow we filled the thread guys. So as I was about to Say UR you've probably had squirrel if you've eaten Chinese . Think I've had most things. Just don't ask eat. Roasting hot here, very busy but having a blast. Enjoyed our new gym yesterday and picnic in the park tonight which was wonderful. Live music, handsome young men - need I say more.

I love you SuperBunny.

So here's an embarrassing story about me: Yesterday I went to Kmart because they had something I wanted to get the kids for Christmas on a really good sale. I put it in my cart and started walking up to the checkout when I had someone look at me kind of oddly, and another Kmart worker tell me they had never seen anybody so happy to be shopping their store ever. I realized I had this big, dopey grin on my face, because I was thinking about what the munchkins would do when they opened their present.

Oh, and 2 days ago I went outside to get the garbage can, and all the middle school kids came around the corner. I talked to one of them, she's really sweet and friendly and when I came back inside, I realized my zipper was not zipped up. I don't know how, because I always worry about that, and am obsessive about checking. So there, 2 stories you can tease ME about.

Cali

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 02:53

High five, Cali!

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 02:54

Thank you for sharing you embarrasing stories DG. They are quite endearing.

DO you know, I found some remains of the marshmallow incident on the floor this week. I have no idea how it was still there because I have scrubbed and scrubbed. It is haunting me. Yet I have been strangely tempted to try it again...

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 02:57

Dooney. You're so mean.

I might flounce.

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 02:58

I really wasn't going for endearing. I was going for something you could tease me about mercilessly, because I know I deserve it.

I think the floor remains might have been a sign telling you not to do it. Or maybe to use a different recipe if you must.

Ahh, I forgot about the walnut That magazine must have been cursed. Presumably it mentioned deep-frying dozens of turkeys?

Was there an article on how to do up one's fly?

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:03

Oh, I've got one. Once I decided to be more frugal and take up sewing. It was sooooo boring, and I wasn't very good at it anyway. I had a skirt on, and since I was at home, I wasn't sitting very, um, ladylike with my legs very far apart. I was hand-sewing in my lap, and when I got up, the thing I was sewing stayed on my lap, because I had sewed part of it to my skirt because I wasn't paying attention.

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:07

You're so cute when you're being insulting.

I'm seriously impressed at your turkey fryer, Cali. I know they're really good that way, I'm just frightened off, because every Thanksgiving the news always seems to have multiple stories of fires that have started from people deep frying their turkey. I don't want to do it too close to my house, and I'm not doing it in the front yard for everyone to see, and the backyard is pretty sloped as soon as you get away from the house, so you can't do it there, either.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:07

LOL

That's the sort of thing I have done would do and is why I rarely sew anything. I did make DS a pair of cow trousers for halloween and I have never seen so many people so impressed. It took 2 nights but was totally worth it!

Have any of you seen the C&A advert? Top clip. Bit crude but made me laugh. (I am quite immature though and if you do not appreciate toilet-type humour, don't click)

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:11

Cute? I'm not meant to be cute! I have had people laugh at me when I've been so angry I could burst so I must be doing something wrong.

Just found out my ex is going to England for most of December but leaving DS here with me

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:14

Fortunately I have shopping down to a science, and I've figured I can buy their clothes much cheaper, especially since I can turn around and sell them when I'm through.

That commercial wouldn't make it past the censors here, I'm guessing.

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:15

Are you ever going to be able to go back to England? Glad Dinner is staying put.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:21

Hopefully if/ when my visa gets sorted then yes, I'll go to visit. But that could be years so I'm not going to think about it.

I'm glad they're unbearably sensible. It just sounds like too much of a to do with all the extra safety equipment needed. What a scary story about your mother.

SuperBunny · 22/11/2008 03:31

That is a scary story, cali. I hate noisy/ hot things and have always refused to have a deep fat fryer or a pressure cooker. A turkey fryer would be on my list too. But, if done safely, I am sure will be excellent.

dooneygirl · 22/11/2008 03:33

Your list of banned kitchen equipment sounds the same as mine. I haven't gotten into canning, as pressure canning is the recommended thing, and I'm not having one in my house.

alipiggie · 22/11/2008 03:38

SB - boo for ExH and Yeah for DS staying put. We'll just have to get together one of these days. . CF, they will fry the turkey outside won't they and don't do like the AT&T advert and forget to defrost it first will you . I'm on vacation YEAH. So we've got the Xmas lights switch on to look forward to and a trip to see The Nutcracker Suite. I'm so so happy - although no doubt I'll do some work too. So what's everyone got planned for the weekend?
