My diary is wide open as i'm still 'Billy no mates'

LOL so we're all going on a blind date eh?

Any ideas from 'you other ? ;)

I am here!

Sorry, I sort of got swept up in a whirl of hysterical grandparents wanting to monopolise time with PFBGC and have only just extricated myself.

Tranny shoes are back home as I had to do some last-second jettisoning to make suitcase close. Erm, somebody else had better come up with something identifiable. Baby has spent the morning chucking consecutive paddies (GPs at work and nobody making a fuss of her) so I am too drained to plug in brain.

MrsBigD · 19/06/2008 09:43

ninedragons, just leave the room she'll soon get the message that mum isn't as much of an entertainment centre as gp's ;)

OK tranny shoes are out as I don't have any either

We could always decide on a particular colour top to wear? But don't say black as then we'll never find each other! ;)

I'm VERY partial to green LOL for any other colours I need a couple of days lead time to buy something!

Flippin eck - is it only me in trannies? You cowards!
ND - if you're at a loss am going to Elkington later..
You want my mobile no?

ninedragons · 20/06/2008 07:16

Bloody hell, sorry my internet access is so sporadic. Travelling with a baby means the day just leeches away.

My wardrobe is limited, so you will be able to identify me as the one who looks like she's dressed from a very small suitcase. My current favourite outfit is beige cords with a purple cardigan jacket thingie, so if that's clean I am likely to be wearing that. But we could meet in Balmain first, BG, and possibly even get a cheeky head start on the others? I find making a first impression while drunk always conveys the right idea about myself.

brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 08:18

Join the club ND! I'm a firm believer in a few drinks making you a far more likeable person.
I may actually dtrch trannies as I'm bottling out...

MrsBigD · 20/06/2008 08:23

brightongirldownunder... where were you again? Pre-meet drinkie's? LOL

I'll be very likely be wearing black trousers and green top of some sort and will be the one standing around looking very lost and insecure ;)

OP posts:
brightongirldownunder · 20/06/2008 12:28

MrsBig - I'm in Rozelle, next to Balmain, so not v. near to you I'm afraid.
I think after a few drinks we'll all see each other with rose tinted specs - so who cares what we wear? As long as we actually wear something...

aquasea · 21/06/2008 01:32

Oh bollocks. I leave the thread for a while and now no one is wearing their tranny shoes and people are meeting for cheekies before the main event! What's happened?! You'll all be sensible shoe clad, pissed best buddies before I manage to wobble over in my heels (resolutely refusing to give up on the idea of wearing heels while drinking cocktails... it's been way too long!)

aquasea · 21/06/2008 01:34

Anyone near Mosman? I will be catching the ferry over I think.

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 05:39

ok aqua, I'll join you in the trannies. though may not wear red patent peep toe ones as DH got me them and feel like a porn star when in them (not Ann Summers btw, Russell and Bromley, I'll have you know!). Hang on I've just clicked - he obviously wants me to look like a pornstar from the ankles down! Lets face it being covered in food for most of the day and with boobs that now trail along floor thanks to extended breast feeding, I ain't going to get a job in that industry!

arfishy · 21/06/2008 06:42

OK. We need to arrange to meet somewhere. A couple of us have photos up, so there's a clue there.

I have no idea what I'll be wearing, not least because nothing fits because I was a schnitzel eating pig over the entire summer.

I will definitely not be wearing tranny shoes because I have feet bigger than most trannies anyway.

Friday night will be very busy with lots of people there. What time are we meeting? 8pm? God it's going to be HEAVING. I vote for Guantanamo Orange Jumpsuits, it's the only way we'll do it

Have we heard from Cod's mate?

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 12:59

schnitzels - not only have I put an end to my DD's refusal to eat with those, but I seem to have developed an appetite too. Do not fear arfishy!
Agree it will be heaving. How about by the top of the escalators? Or at the bottom if its raining.
I have a photo - though may need to stand sideways as it was a profile i think. Can't miss my hooter!

arfishy · 21/06/2008 13:08

LOL, So I'll be the one with tranny feet (not shoes!) looking for the Pom/German contingent who look relieved when somebody shouts "COD!" and a Brighton expat with a big hooter.

Well that's that sorted then

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 13:11

Hehe get the feeling we're all going to have a giggle!

Flobberghasted · 21/06/2008 13:12

no news from my mate.
ill email her and tell her.

arfishy · 21/06/2008 13:24

Is that you Cod? Confused

Assuming it is, tell your mate to come armed with photos and scandalous tales from Uni.

I'll also assume that she'll be able to be herded in from the escalators with our Sydney-meet rallying cry of "COD!" and tranny shoes.

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 13:25

Cod - why the namechange?

Flobberghasted · 21/06/2008 13:28

god knows
being silly yest

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 13:43

Go on, cause some trouble!
Are you planning to be a troll?

brightongirldownunder · 21/06/2008 15:13

Christ Cod - I've just seen what you did on that other thread. Good on you! All this banter on MN is getting boring. What does you friend look like?

MrsBigD · 21/06/2008 23:46

there are escalators?
I look good in Orange, but not in jumpsuits LOL.

Shall I make a sign reading 'COD' and stand very conspicously at the bottom of the escalators like I'm touting a golf sale? LOL

Aquafish how far is Mosman from Chatswood? Meet up somewhere on the way? That also goes for you Sunnydelight

I have to now go and write a letter to the neighbours because they are beginning to p me off... had guests last night and parked up the whole driveway. At least they could have had the courtesy of checking whether we would like to get into our garage! Not to mention the 02:30am shouting when the guests left... if they'd remove their bl*dy boat from in front of our house there'd be plenty of parking.... argh rant rant rant especially as one car is still smack bang in front of our garage... and I shall now shut up before I have to tell myself off for ranting on the meet thread

OP posts:
brightongirldownunder · 22/06/2008 01:19

I agree we should all have COD on us somewhere.
Cod - it was the thread about bottles of milk i think...your were in your other guise for that - fluffy bat!
Mrs D hope the neighbours are behaving.

MrsBigD · 22/06/2008 07:59
