SYDNEY MEET-UP : shall we try and organise one?

Just had good news and now know that we definitely will be based in Chatswood

I'll be more than willing to drive somewhere. Have Garmin will travel (without getting lost too much ;)

don't chicken out, ninedragons. Come and tranny up with me! We need to be able to recognise each other anyway - all the ladies in 5 inch or over heels falling over on their way to the bar = MNers. Easy.

I like the thought of falling over before we get to the bar! Surely its normally as you leave?!!
I will attempt to join you in the tranny shoe wearing, though reckon I'll have birkenstocks hidden in bag discreetly.
If anyone's coming from Balmain area maybe we could share a cab. CAT me if you want to give me your mobile.

Bollocks. DH just reminded me that I have his brother and SIL coming to see us and they arrive on the Thursday before our night out. Looks like I won't be trannying and tripping afterall.

I had double booked myself but have managed to re-arrange so I will be coming to the ball! Too tall for tranny shoes though. Can't you sneak out while your DH spends quality time with his family aquasea?

My tranny shoes are causing serious problems - pracstised on them last night and fell over immediately much to DD's amusement. I remember on my wedding day that I had the most beautiful pair of prada shoes that I was finding almost impossible to wear. My dad made me down 3 glasses of champagne and voila! i walked like a dream. So ninedragons, if the cab smells of booze when we head off, just be sure that I'll be able to walk to the bar at least!

Pissing myself thinking about waltzing out of the house on a Friday night in tranny shoes saying, "I'm off to a business meeting." That would leave a few confused faces. Sounds like a plan! Bugger it, I will be there.

Cod - Henley is north shore and is POSH. Your friend can just bring her private yacht directly from its moorings and pop it straight outside the opera house .

I think it will be plainly obvious - there will be at least 6 women pretending to walk gracefully in trannies! Maybe we should choose where to meet exactly - it can get really busy at the OH bar. How about by the ramp down to the OH concourse. Its got a rail for me to hold on to!

As for recognising each other... anybody know the place well enough to define a meeting place? Alternatively a bright pink neck scarve in addition to the tranny shoes?

I was thinking about you on Saturday MrsBigD as we were shopping in Chatswood! I'm about 15 minutes on from Chatswood so not sure yet if I'll be good and get the train home or not - one of the downsides of living in the lovely leafy suburbs is the not so lovely cost of taxis home - if I do it goes through Chatswood so you'll have company if you like. If we get totally trashed there's always the taxi share option!

I'll text you about coffee this week.

As for dh being in a huff about you socialising... well if he'd do some networking beforehand he might be able to organise a boys night out LOL

So it's 8 confirmed and 1 maybe. That's great!

I shall now go and shoot the neighbours dog... all that critter has been doing for the last 3h is howl and bark. Will have to have a chat with the neighbours because I think they go to work and leave him out in the garden...
