Lets have a new thread the other was getting a bit long!

All expats are welcome, I come from Perth WA and have been here for 8 years, married a pom and live in West London with my ds1 2yrs and ds2 1yr. No plans to move back to Oz but we are thinking of moving to Singapore for a couple of years. Well the weathers got to be better than here, and it will be further away from the inlaws

Hi,

Can I join in here too please?

I am from Brisbane and have lived in London since '98. I am married to a fellow Aussie, and we have two DSs (3 and six months).

Probably will return to Brisbane in time for DS1 to start prep in Jan 09.

course you can MM, sorry we weren't ignoring you . Whereabouts in london are you?

Kaybee any ideas where we can meet on the piccadilly line? We could just get off at covent garden and find a cafe? I know they have lifts there, but it does get very busy!

Thanks Quokka, I'm in east London, near Canary Wharf.

Do you guys meet up often?

Covent garden might be the best option Quokka, hopefully its not too hard to change at holborn! What time shall we make it - 10.30/11?

Hi mm22bys, I am a kiwi, been here for 5 years married to a pom

quokka · 18/05/2007 17:56

Kaybee its quite easy to walk from Holborn to Covent garden (10 min max), I used to do it all the time when I worked there.

MM we try to meet up, but I'm the wrong person to speak to now as I'm moving to Singapore in 2 weeks !

eidsvold - love it! I love Adam Hills anyway but this did make me home sick. It's just that irreverence that makes it particularly Aussie isn't it? Thanks for brightening up a day when my dd has been sick and grizzly!

Helllooooo, anybody out there???
I have just back from Oz and am having fun trying to get dd readjusted to London time. Was hoping for some sympathy for the 3am start to the day!

Report
KaybeeandZak · 13/06/2007 19:16

Hi Mellin, poor you having a 3am start

How was your trip?

Things have been pretty quiet on here, quokka has gone to singapore.....

Report
Mellin · 14/06/2007 08:13

Hi Kaybee,
How are you and the bub doing?
The trip was wonderful. dd got so much attention from all the family and I got so much help! It's been a big shock to the system this week having to manage on my own again during the day.
So quokka's moved to Singapore... we stopped off in Hong Kong to visit some friends on the way back and the expat lifestyle there is really amazing. I would imagine something similar in Singapore.
You guys are moving back to NZ soon, aren't you?
