Hi all

It’s Kerr here, I wanted to post a quick update as I’m conscious Pamela hasn’t been on for a few days and the thread seems to have reached its limit.

Pamela hasn’t been feeling so good over the last few days - on a positive note, her bloods seem to have stabilised and, all being well, she might be ok for chemo round 2 in the next couple of days. She had a blood transfusion yesterday which, we hope, will also boost her energy levels. On the downside, her jaundice has returned, the bilirubin levels are increasing significantly. The CT scan at the beginning of the week showed no new blockages and our Consultant thought that some early necrosis of the tumour after the last chemo might be contributing, but nobody really knows what’s causing it. Further discussion to take place tomorrow. Seeing the jaundice is one of the worst parts of this, it’s so clear and obvious when it’s happening yet there’s nothing we can do to alleviate it.

Just wanted to let you know the latest. Please, please keep praying for her - she’s my everything, my world, and every thought and prayer is deeply appreciated.

Kerr

I just read the post I was hoping would never come. I'm truly sorry for your loss Kerr, Jacob, Pamela's mum and family. We were blessed to even have had the opportunity to hear her story and pray for such a wonderful woman. Even though we didn't know her personally she touched many hearts on here.

Youseriouslydontknow · 03/08/2023 16:14

I am so so sorry to hear this news. I am truly sorry from the bottom of my heart for your loss....and jacobs loss... and to everyone that cared for Pamela.

She showed us incredible strength, a true warrior that will live on in so many ways.

I wish you all love at this devastating time x

Boredofmyguts · 03/08/2023 16:18

I am so shocked someone posed as you, I actually replied to ‘post 7’ earlier, I wish to respond here properly and say how sorry I am to the right person and that I’ve been thinking of Pamela and you all. My sincere condolences to you, Jacob and the rest of the family.

SunUpSunDown · 03/08/2023 16:20

Sending so much love and peace to you all as you grieve. Pamela’s openness and honesty was so refreshing. She has impacted so many of us here with her bravery and courage, as have you Kerr. She will not be forgotten.

I am so, so sorry to hear this.

I have followed Pamela's journey since she started posting, I almost felt like I got to know her and I prayed for a different outcome.

You and Jacob are in my thoughts. I feel privileged Pamela allowed us to be part of her life xxxx

Oh I’m truly so very sorry to read your update. I have been returning to the thread every day in the hope of positive news.
My heart goes out to you Kerr, Jacob and the rest of your family.
Sending lots of love and strength from a stranger who Pamela really touched with her posts, may she rest in eternal peace xx

It’s so weird. Never met Pamela. But I followed her from her first post and was just willing her to find a solution to the dreadful disease that has finally taken her. I was at dinner tonight with my husband, and found myself talking about her. And then I found I had a lump in my throat and couldn’t continue. Such an inspiration. Loved her spirit, her fight, her love for her family. Thank you Pamela for sharing a part of you when so many of us hide behind anonymity. May you rest in peace. xx

Mouselemur · 03/08/2023 16:32

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for taking the time to update, in this very difficult time for you and your family.

I didn’t see the deleted thread, so don’t know it’s content.. unfortunately there will always be some individuals who get a kick out doing cruel things. Just know that your lovely wife had hundreds, if not more, kind people who just wanted to show love and support to her.

Im sorry Pamela had to suffer like she did, she was strong and brave to the end, not just in fighting this awful disease, but also by how open she was with everyone on here.

I will never forget this thread, the incredible lady who started it, and the kindness of strangers. x

stunned at the fake thread and appalled someone would do that.

So sorry for your loss. Pamela touched the hearts of many and was clearly very much loved. Life is so very cruel.

(I also posted on the fake thread- appalled that somebody would create that).

ThatFlightyTemptressAdventure · 03/08/2023 17:18

I am so so sorry for your loss, even from the small glimpses of Pamela that we saw on her threads, it was clear that she was a kind and generous person who saw the good in the world and spread kindness.

That spirit will live on in those she loved so dearly and also a little in those who knew her here.

Thank you Pamela 💐
