Hi all

It’s Kerr here, I wanted to post a quick update as I’m conscious Pamela hasn’t been on for a few days and the thread seems to have reached its limit.

Pamela hasn’t been feeling so good over the last few days - on a positive note, her bloods seem to have stabilised and, all being well, she might be ok for chemo round 2 in the next couple of days. She had a blood transfusion yesterday which, we hope, will also boost her energy levels. On the downside, her jaundice has returned, the bilirubin levels are increasing significantly. The CT scan at the beginning of the week showed no new blockages and our Consultant thought that some early necrosis of the tumour after the last chemo might be contributing, but nobody really knows what’s causing it. Further discussion to take place tomorrow. Seeing the jaundice is one of the worst parts of this, it’s so clear and obvious when it’s happening yet there’s nothing we can do to alleviate it.

Just wanted to let you know the latest. Please, please keep praying for her - she’s my everything, my world, and every thought and prayer is deeply appreciated.

Kerr

Oh Kerr I am so so sorry to read your post, Pamela sounded like an amazing lady and the love she had for you and your son just shone out from her posts ❤️

I didn’t see the fake post but there are some awful people in this world with such sad miserable little lives, I fully believe in karma. I’m sorry that the post upset you but please know there are a lot of us on here that are regular normal human beings who all somehow loved a beautiful lady we had never met.

Lots of love xx

Sixmonthcruise · 03/08/2023 11:06

I am so truly sorry for your loss ❤️

Gingerbreadandtea · 03/08/2023 11:06

Kerr, I am so sorry for your loss. I obviously didn't know Pamela but from her posts she came across as such a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a deep impact on a lot of people's life's on mumsnet alone. Sending you, Jacob, Pamela's mom and family my deepest condolences💕

Naddd · 03/08/2023 11:06

Truly sorry for your loss. She came across as such a lovely lady who asked for nothing but support and kindness which most gave

Those that thought otherwise i wish you kindness as though i didn't know Pamela personally i feel thats the kind of lady she was.

To Kerr and your son and loved ones i can only hope this journey without her is made as easy as possible for you.

Alargeoneplease89 · 03/08/2023 11:07

Omg I'm so sorry Kerr, my heart breaks for you and Jacob.

ArabeIIaScott · 03/08/2023 11:07

I'm so very, very sorry for your loss.

Cannot imagine why anyone would create a fake thread - people are so damn strange. I'm sorry for that, too.

Sending my sincere condolences, love and peace to you and your family. Pamela seemed a wonderful woman, and my heart goes out to you all.

Wishing you a peaceful time together. ❤

Missingmyusername · 03/08/2023 11:08

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace. Prayers to you all 💐 xxx

ticktock19 · 03/08/2023 11:09

I commented on the rogue thread 7 and I'm horrified that it is a fake thread. Shame on the person who did it.

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss Kerr, Jacob, Pamela's mother and grandmother and her wider family and friends. She was truly inspirational and I shall carry her in my thoughts always. Thinking of you all and sending my very best wishes xx

Lougle · 03/08/2023 11:10

Kerr, I'm so sorry that we've unwittingly responded to a fake thread. I hope you get the support you need and I'm glad that MNHQ have deleted it.

I'm so sorry for the heartbreak you've been through over the last few months as well. I'm glad you got the excellent care that you did, though, and that the team knew when family time should be the priority.

Peridot1 · 03/08/2023 11:10

Kerr firstly I am so so sorry for your loss. Pamela was an beautiful and inspiring person who touched so many of us.

Secondly I am in shock that someone would post a fake thread. I am sorry you had to deal with that.

deltablue · 03/08/2023 11:10

I've just clicked on the link below to the ne thread where Kerr gave us the sad news, and now I see it's been deleted by Mumsnet HQ - what on earth is going on? How can that be breaking guidelines??

Claricethecat45 · 03/08/2023 11:10

Kerr
I posted on the 'fraudulent' thread and completely understand how you feel about someone taking it upon themselves to trespass on your grief like that. It is appalling.

Nevertheless, my sentiments remain unchanged....Pamela was - and - still is, the most wonderful lady and, through tears, I send you and Jacob and your wider family, so much love. I will never forget your beautiful Pamela, she taught us so much with her undiminished joy for life...and it was so very clear how much she was loved, and how much love she gave. At the end of anyones human life, that is all that matters. Go gently Kerr, and just know that Pamela will not be forgotten.

Oceancreature · 03/08/2023 11:11

My deepest condolences 💐

Peridot1 · 03/08/2023 11:11

@deltablue - read Kerr’s update on this thread. That thread 7 was fake.

Freeyourmind · 03/08/2023 11:11

I replied to the fake thread too, I cannot fathom why anybody would do that. The internet really is a dark place at times.
But that aside, your wife was an absolute inspiration, graceful & courageous. I am so very sorry for your loss, I will say a little prayer today for you, Jacob, Pamela's mother & grandmother. I echo others when I say that Pamela has also had a profound effect on me too. Life can be so very cruel sometimes so we shouldn't put off doing the things we love with the people we love. Look after yourselves xx

andjustlikethat1 · 03/08/2023 11:12

I am so sad for you Kerr and I am totally heartbroken about your Darling Wife and your son. I hope whomever has taken this upon themselves may have a red face for the rest of their sad little life. I feel as if I had a personal connection with Pamela she came across as an amazing lady. I have lit my candle 🕯️ she is now pain free and in heaven teaching the angels how to write beautifully. I have never read such lovely words even in her situation she had a wit about her. I wish you well, May sweet Pamela be with you forever. I know from her lovely words she loved you and your son so much. I wish you well x

Healingvibes · 03/08/2023 11:12

It is beyond shocking that some lowlife produced a fake thread and I'm very sorry you've had that thrown at you after the massive loss you have just incurred. Whoever produced that will get their comeuppance one way or another.

Meanwhile, the love of 99.999% of MN users goes to you and your beautiful family. We have all been touched by Pamela's story and will hold you all in our hearts. Sincere condolences to you, Kerr.

strawberryjam99 · 03/08/2023 11:13

I’m very sorry to hear this Kerr. Pamela sounded a fantastic and caring human. My husband died in February from tonsil cancer which had spread to his liver. I’m still trying to process what has happened and supporting our 17yr old son through it. Our local hospice has been a great support with counselling and wellbeing to get us through the last few months. So sorry xx

RedDoughnut · 03/08/2023 11:13

I'm so very, very sorry

I will be thinking of you and your family but especially Jacob

Xxxxx

feebeecat · 03/08/2023 11:14

So, so sorry for your loss. She was one brave and amazing lady.

Dear Kerr, those of us who have travelled this path with loved ones, know exactly what you are going through. It is devastating, awful, shocking and so unfair. I am so so sorry that you, Jacob, her mum, granny and her family and friends have lost such a lovely person so young.

May she rest in peace.

EdieLedwell · 03/08/2023 11:14

I'm so sorry for your loss Kerr. She was inspirational and brave.

She said one thing I'll take forward with me. It was about always finding the beauty in even the worst moments, like a shaft of light from the window on the floor.

Much love to you all ❤️

adriftabroad · 03/08/2023 11:15

Beautiful soul. Pamela 💖
Thoughts with you, Kerr, and Jacob and all the family.

watermeloncougar · 03/08/2023 11:16

Kerr, the love between you and Pamela shone through the posts from you both. Please know that she is someone so many of us will remember. What a woman. Continuing to hold you and your family in my thoughts.

siansattic · 03/08/2023 11:17

So sorry for your loss and can't believe anyone would start a fake thread. Pamela was a brave and inspirational lady and helped us all to focus on the little things. Sending love and prayers to you, Jacob and Pamela's mum. x
