December 2025 FET

Is anyone going to have a FET in December?

I was expecting to have one in January but when I went to the clinic yesterday they are going to try and squeeze a natural FET cycle in before the Christmas break!

I am 36, had my first egg collection last month but wasn't suitable for a fresh transfer. If my cycle plays ball my transfer will be 15th-17th December.

Hopeful for a lovely Christmas present but also being realistic given age and first transfer etc.

How are you feeling @BlueSkyWinterSun ? Just seen the time you are hopefully getting an early night

@CoolSummer89 wide awake and couldn't sleep for thinking about testing so I just tested and it's positive 🥹🥹. I used a clear blue digital and it says 'pregnant 1-2' so now I can't sleep from excitment and dying to share the news but our families don't even know we were trying let alone having IVF so super glad I can share the news on here!

When I was pregnant with my son, I was absolutely terrified and convinced I'd miscarry based on nothing other than my mum and cousin miscarried their first. I gave myself anxiety and couldn't drive the 15 mins to work without shaking like a leaf. I paid for weekly scans from 6 weeks & then when I hit second trimester, I had some medical complications which meant a few hospital stays and risk of premature labour so then I put myself on couch rest until 32 weeks when I finally relaxed so I kinda robbed myself of enjoying or being excited so I am in full on excited mode now. I figure that if we are unfortunatr and it ends in heart break, that heart break would be just as tough regardless of if I spent this time scared/anxious or excited so I'm going for the latter.

CoolSummer89 · 19/12/2025 23:32

Oh mega congratulations @BlueSkyWinterSun! haha well if you weren’t sleeping either way, at least it’s better that you are excited.

I get what you mean about choosing to be excited over anxious. I’m trying to do the same for this TWW. But obviously it becomes harder the further away you are from scans and other milestones. So have that as your guide but don’t beat yourself up if you can’t be excited the whole time.

Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Wow so many positives here! Sorry I’ve been quiet been super busy with work!

a faint line could be nothing and I really hope it’s good news for you but agree a blood test would be a good idea!

sorry to those who have had negatives! It’s so tough especially when it’s been a really long journey to them!

sending love to everyone and hope we get some more positives, feel there’s been lots amongst this group so far!

AnonTTC · 20/12/2025 09:49

Aww wow congratulations @BlueSkyWinterSun - lovely news ❤️🥰

We do seem to have a lot of positives so far 🤞🏼

My tests arrive today for testing tomorrow morning. Feeling very nervous but also very ready to just know either way now and trying to mentally prepare myself for both scenarios x

AnxiousHopeful · 20/12/2025 10:08

Has anyone tested positive on a FER test at 4 days past 5 day frozen embryo transfer? Unfortunately mine is negative this morning…hoping it’s just too early…!

Oh @Bees28 it’s so hard isn’t it. I think some (pregnant) people can test positive on 4dp5dt but people are more likely not to. It’s the same as 9dpo: https://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=9

I have been feeling a bit wobbly today, similar to you knowing that I could have tested this morning has been making me feel a bit unsettled. But I’m going to hold out to 8 days past because then the result will be pretty definitive.

Do you have any symptoms? I have absolutely nothing, no cramping, no tender breasts. Nowt.

i was a bit crampy 2dp5dt and then when i was wiping that afternoon/evening i had some light pink spotting. That made me cautiously optimistic as the timings and the light pink nature makes me think it must be implantation bleeding. It could be irritation from the pessaries but the fact that it’s stopped now, makes me think it’s not that.

so while I am trying to be hopeful, the fact that I feel nothing now is making me a bit wobbly. It’ll all be over in a few days, so I just have to gird my loins.

Thank you everyone :-)

Symptom spotting is so difficult, especially with all the medication or even just regular PMS symptoms. I don't feel like ive had anything different from how I was feeling pre transfer. I did have what I thought was implantation spotting about 12hrs after transfer but most people don't get implantation bleeds. I haven't had any cramps or back pain, my boobs have been sore for months, I blame peri menopause for that!

@Bees28 I'm so sorry you've seen a negative test and it is so so difficult to wait, but yeah that sounds pretty early, especially if implantation took a few days. I was a few hours short of 10dp5dt when I tested.

@CollsR I can totally relate. I was so scared the days leading up to testing, its all your brain can think of. Is Christmas Day your test date?

@AnonTTC wishing you all the very best for tomorrow's testing.

Bees28 · 20/12/2025 14:46

@CoolSummer89 it is so tough!
I’ve done lots of research and I think most people get a positive between 4 -7 days past a 5 day transfer typically, so that makes since for you to wait it out until 8 days!!
I had some bloating, fuller feeling breasts, on and off cramping the first 3 days but today my only symptom is just the fuller feeling boobs and minor fatigue…if I were you, I’d still look at the light spotting as a good sign. Do you usually get implantation bleeding? Have you ever been pregnant before?

I have only been pregnant once and this was an accidental pregnancy in my early 20s, so would not have been looking out for spotting etc. However I did know very early on, I kept waking up needing to pee at 5am for a few days in a row. Then I took a pregnancy test (not early) and it was negative. Then two days later I took a clear blue early digital and it said 1-2 weeks. So I must have caught it really early, so all the time I was TTC naturally I was just waiting for the urge to pee which never came. But people say that every pregnancy is different and I am almost 16 years older now!

@BlueSkyWinterSun congrats on the positive test!! This is great news!!!

@Bees28 definitely too early. Wait at least for 6dpt if set on testing early I would say! And even then if negative don’t think it’s a definitive result!

Klmno · 20/12/2025 16:08

Just catching up on here. So many positive tests, amazing! Congratulations to everyone who's had one. Sending love to those of you who've had a negative. And crossing my fingers for anyone still waiting to test! It's a tough old journey isn't it. I am testing tomorrow evening. I really don't know what to think, have absolutely no symptoms and will be really gutted if our second transfer has also failed. But just want to know now!xx

Bees28 · 20/12/2025 18:08

@Poppy9991. Thanks for the reminder!

@Klmno. This is my second transfer as well!
(First one failed to implant)

@CoolSummer89. Every pregnancy really is different.

zirafica · 20/12/2025 21:45

@AnonTTC @Klmno everything crossed for you both tomorrow ♥️♥️

whysohardtogetusername · 20/12/2025 22:29

Congrats @BlueSkyWinterSun - fantastic news!! 💕I know exactly what you mean about not getting excited, I've decided to be excited for this pregnancy so far, because it's not going to hurt any less. I thought about it being like otherwise when DO I relax, because first you're waiting for the 6 week scan, then 12, then anxious about birth etc...

Although I am still slightly in denial. I think the progesterone and having strong symptoms from that threw me really. I tend to be quite good at reading/in touch with my body and because of the additional hormones I feel like I won't really know what's going on and be able to settle into it until I can ditch them. I also don't have loads of other symptoms apart from a bit of extra hair growth on my head (growing a small forelock for some reason...). No sore boobs, nothing additional to the original progesterone symptoms, maybe my skin is looking nice/glowy?

@Poppy9991 I'm so glad you have got a positive and the bloods sound very sensible - I really hope you get a good high reading on those that can offer some reassurance. Thinking of you, what a stressful time 💚

@AnonTTC @Klmno fingers crossed for tomorrow and well done for holding out this far! 😅💚

whysohardtogetusername · 20/12/2025 22:31

@Bees28 Just seen about your early test too! Definitely too early to draw conclusions either way, it's so stressful isn't it?

Peonies94 · 21/12/2025 03:43

@Bees28 i was negative at 4dpt and then positive at 5, it really is so early! I’d try again in a couple of days for a more reliable answer! Sorry it’s negative though! Crossing my fingers it changes for you!

Peonies94 · 21/12/2025 03:45

@Klmno @AnonTTC goodluck!!

CollsR · 21/12/2025 07:07

@BlueSkyWinterSun My OTD is 29 Dec… will test early on 24 or 25. Haven’t decided yet.

AnxiousHopeful · 21/12/2025 08:19

So my wife did a pregnancy test last night (she totally cracked early) and it was positive, just did a confirmation this morning. I did not sleep a wink but its confirmed.

I really did not expect this, especially a couple of days before our official test date. We are beyond overjoyed but know its a really long road ahead and have suffered with chemicals/ miscarriages before so are hopeful the IVF process circumvents what caused those but likely wont feel settled until the second trimester.

We are very happy to have got a good test result but just want to acknowledge how difficult this whole process is. We know there are others who have yet to test and we are thinking of you. I truly would have gone insane if I couldn't vent here about my wife getting food poisoning post transfer so thank you all!

AnonTTC · 21/12/2025 08:36

Morning ladies.

Happy to report another positive here ❤️ I think the over riding feeling was shock & relief (but I know this is still early stages).

Never seen a positive before so we are fully enjoying the moment and going out for a nice day together.

Huge congratulations to you too @AnxiousHopeful and good luck for later @Klmno

I’m just relived that wait is over!!! It was eating me up inside x
