December 2025 FET

Is anyone going to have a FET in December?

I was expecting to have one in January but when I went to the clinic yesterday they are going to try and squeeze a natural FET cycle in before the Christmas break!

I am 36, had my first egg collection last month but wasn't suitable for a fresh transfer. If my cycle plays ball my transfer will be 15th-17th December.

Hopeful for a lovely Christmas present but also being realistic given age and first transfer etc.

It really did @CoolSummer89 . It did make me laugh 😂. Turning it over with shaky hands as well. Felt like I was getting a telling off for trying to test too early 😂

BellaTink647 · 18/12/2025 09:57

Hi all.

Have been silently reading over the last few days, so sorry for not replying to people specifically but sending lots of love and strength to those who had had set backs recently ❤
And bit congratulations to those with positive news!!

We've had a positive test and I cannot quite believe it. Feel so happy and incredibly lucky, and just praying it sticks and goes to plan from here. Cant help feeling like I just can't get too excited yet! Feels very surreal. Have viability scan booked for 5th Jan.

CoolSummer89 · 18/12/2025 10:34

Congratulations @BellaTink647 that is so exciting! The scan must feel like a lifetime time away ❤️

Congratulations @BellaTink647! That's lovely news! Super happy for you & a wee scan on the 5th is a fabby way to start the new year 🥰

zirafica · 18/12/2025 11:49

Yay @BellaTink647 congrats!!

AnonTTC · 18/12/2025 12:28

Ah congratulations @BellaTink647 - really pleased for you (well done for waiting the full 2 weeks!!) ❤️

In the same breath I wanted to also say I'm really sorry @Blueskycat that you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Apologies, I wasn't on this thread yesterday so didn't spot your message to reply to but it looks like some of the others gave some great advice on potential tests you could look into so I hope you're feeling okay and can enjoy some self indulgence over the next couple of weeks. Sending love ❤️ x

whysohardtogetusername · 18/12/2025 13:54

@BellaTink647 Fantastic news!! 💕I've got my viability scan on the 5th too 🤗. It feels so far away!

whysohardtogetusername · 18/12/2025 13:56

@BlueSkyWinterSun that's so funny about the tests! The universe was like 'not today' 😅

zirafica · 18/12/2025 14:01

@whysohardtogetusername @BellaTink647 you ladies will have your viability scans before i do, and your transfers were roughly a week after mine! hahaha! the differences between clinics are insane. i suppose mine will be more of a 7 week scan than a 6 week scan then.
mine was initially booked for 8th but when they called to give me the hcg levels they said they can move it to 6th if it makes any difference and i was like IT ABSOLUTELY DOES MOVE IT
i've had enough waiting thank you!

BellaTink647 · 18/12/2025 14:38

@zirafica haha absolutely, even hours earlier would make a difference after all the waiting we have to endure 😂

@whysohardtogetusername @CoolSummer89 I'm glad it's Christmas time because I actually feel like with a busy Christmas in between, 5th Jan will come around quite quick! (I say this now... might change my mind in a few days haha)

CollsR · 18/12/2025 15:10

@BellaTink647 congratulations on your positive test. I totally hear you about the Christmas period busyiness helping with all the waiting!

@BlueSkyWinterSun That is tea funny about your blank test. I’ve a pack of 5 tests to use starting Xmas morning. I’m now worried they are faulty so have bought a second set of digital tests and some cheap normal
tests… but what’s a bit more cost on top of all this.

Bees28 · 18/12/2025 15:46

@BellaTink647congrats, congrats!!! 🎉

CoolSummer89 · 18/12/2025 16:59

Just had some pink blood when I wiped. Only about 55 hours in and the symptom spotting has started 🙃

Bees28 · 18/12/2025 17:04

@CoolSummer89 so far I have had mild cramps here and there, bloating, and my boobs feel fuller…no spotting or anything…that pink blood is a definite great sign!

Haha love that you're counting in hours and not just days! Maybe it'll make it pass quicker! As soon as it hits 8pm, I'm already classing it as the next day 😂

It just feels so much longer than two days ago. I am surprised I’m not counting in seconds.

glad I have @Bees28 as a transfer buddy, as feels like everyone else is so far ahead

@BellaTink647 congratulations!!! So glad you had a positive!!!

whysohardtogetusername · 18/12/2025 18:00

@CoolSummer89 that sounds like a good sign! It goes SO slowly...

AnxiousHopeful · 18/12/2025 22:31

Congrats @BellaTink647 thats amazing news!

Cant decide if we should buy backup tests or not especially after reading about @BlueSkyWinterSun having a test that did not work. I feel like it would be so difficult if we have the same problem on the day we are due to test haha. Its pretty hard to wait to test though and maybe having more around will tempt us into testing sooner.

So sorry too to read about all the difficulties for others, its really difficult to keep track apologies but just reading the last few pages and just wanted to pass on our love.

whysohardtogetusername · 18/12/2025 22:57

@AnxiousHopeful Me and my partner between us literally got 25 tests from all different brands, it was mad (and expensive!). We didn't buy them until the day before, so the temptation was only the evening before and I forced myself to go to sleep. I was very restrained and only used three on the day 😂

Poppy9991 · 19/12/2025 08:20

Hey all! So I tested positive this morning (test day 11d post transfer) which I’m very grateful for of course… But my line is still very faint for that stage I would have expected a more definitive bold line and I can’t help but wonder if this means this pregnancy might not be progressing properly (I did 2 tests, the clinic one and a FRER). Obviously super happy to have a positive but this brings new worries and triggers from previous losses. Will try and get 2 blood tests to see if hcg levels are indeed progressing normally. I think nothing else would put my mind at ease.

CoolSummer89 · 19/12/2025 08:53

Morning @Poppy9991 getting a blood test sounds like a good idea. There are so many variables with urine tests, such as how hydrated you are etc.

cautious congratulations for now, keep us updated xx

AnonTTC · 19/12/2025 08:55

Yes, tentative congratulations @Poppy9991 🤞🏼❤️ amazing news you’ve got your positive test but totally understand you wanting to get the bloods done and I agree that is a sensible approach rather than waiting everyday and comparing tests. Let us know how you get on xx

zirafica · 19/12/2025 09:53

Love waking up to another positive, congrats @Poppy9991
completely back the blood test idea, it will give you the necessary reassurance so definitely go for it!
but also try not to worry too much, it might’ve just implanted late - these thing happen. As with all of IVF, there are no rules but a positive on OTD is definitely a good sign!!

BlueSkyWinterSun · 19/12/2025 19:20

Great news you're testing positive on OTD @Poppy9991 . As others have said, if bloods will give you peace of mind then absolutely go for it but great news for today!

My OTD tomorrow 😬😬
