@SamVan yeah you dont want all the judgement! When acquaintances ask "were you trying" i avoid delving into the journey haha

@worldwidetravel2017 awwwh congratulations!!!!

confused2025 · 07/10/2025 12:42

@Timetotryagain that’s shocking. My midwife was so supportive and was asking about the clinic I went to for her daughter who is going to start in a few months.

@worldwidetravel2017 congratulations and I think the first girl of the group 💖

magpie234 · 07/10/2025 13:46

I am 16+3 and not felt any flutters yet. I think I’m being a bit impatient! For those that have felt something, when did you feel it? x

KayEmmSquared · 09/10/2025 14:12

@lemons44 I’m 17+4 and I think I’ve had a couple of flutters over the last 5 days, more so at night, but other than that I feel totally normal and that has me panicking that something has gone wrong. Trying to keep myself calm, 20weeks scan in 2 weeks 🤞🏻

Timetotryagain · 09/10/2025 16:58

@lemons44 i felt my first baby at 14 weeks and this baby at 16 weeks because anterior placenta! But other friends havent felt baby until much later and even then its light for quite a while!

@KayEmmSquared sounds similar to me!

confused2025 · 09/10/2025 17:06

@lemons44its only been recently and I’m 21 weeks! I think everyone is different so try not to worry x

Orangewillow · 09/10/2025 17:36

I started feeling movement around week 18-19, in now 21+4 and feeling it more and sometimes more strongly but not much of a pattern yet and sometimes I don't feel anything for a while. I was at dinner with friends last night and he gave me 2 very sharp kicks in the bladder though, made me jump!

lemons44 · 09/10/2025 19:10

Thanks all. I’m just so excited to feel something I keep really concentrating on my stomach lol. Hopefully I feel something soon x

confused2025 · 09/10/2025 19:12

@lemons44i find mine happens at the moments I’m distracted. Other times I’m talking to bump asking for them to give me a sign they’re ok x

confused2025 · 10/10/2025 18:17

I had my first emergency last night. I got up and went to the loo at 3am but when I wiped there was a little red blood on the tissue that seemed to be from behind. I made my OH get up and bring me to the maternity A&E. Thankfully everything was ok and think it might be piles (TMI I know). My OH told me that I was dramatic but I’m glad I got it checked out. Work today was tough as only got back from the hospital at 7am and just had one of those days where everyone was looking for me. I’m so excited to sleep this weekend. Hope everyone is doing ok x

magpie234 · 10/10/2025 18:27

@confused2025 Sorry to hear this! I get this sometimes if have had constipation as it can cause anal fissures. Can hurt to poo for a while until it heals so I try and soften things up down there if I can! No such thing as TMI on this thread right?

confused2025 · 10/10/2025 18:32

@magpie234 yeah I think it was constipation as that’s been tough over the last week. I think they thought I was crazy in the hospital lol but I would do it again to make sure everything was ok. That’s very true 🤣

magpie234 · 10/10/2025 18:48

@confused2025 I am sure we will all have our moments! Hope it clears up soon.

Timetotryagain · 10/10/2025 20:22

@confused2025 oh that sounds reslly scary 💕💕 i also have/had a case of pregnancy piles!

Hows everyone else doing have people bought anything yet? And have people got pregnany pillows? Need to get mine out i am pretty sure i kept it. My hips are starting to ache now

magpie234 · 10/10/2025 22:47

@Timetotryagain Funny you should say that as I was about to ask if anyone has any recs? This is my first preg and am going to order one so I have it ready. From some research in front of the telly this eve it looks like the bbhugme gets rave reviews so am thinking of going for that. Is spenny though!

Not bought anything yet as still a bit anxious before my 12-week scan but am starting to make a list and look at reviews and recs etc. I did just order a big 40oz tumbler to try and help me improve my hydration! But otherwise nothing so far…

Orangewillow · 10/10/2025 23:24

I bought a bbhugme, I've not used it loads yet but think it will become more useful as I get more of a bump. It does take up quite a bit of space, and i often toss and turn and its difficult to move it about, but otherwise I think pretty good

confused2025 · 11/10/2025 03:25

I bought a momcozy pillow early on and I really like it. I bought some bras, some beyond nine dungarees (a little pricey but worth it) and some underwear from H&M and on sale leggings from next that were super cheap in the sale. Haven’t bought any baby stuff yet though. Our 28 week scan is the 28th November so we said we would wait until then as there should be sales that weekend too

confused2025 · 11/10/2025 03:27

My OH does hate the momcozy though as says it takes up all the bed 🤣
