How many weeks were you when you felt flutters @lemonwrighty?

I’m sorry you’re feeling so unwell @magpie234 hopefully it starts to ease up for you.

I have my first NHS scan this afternoon at 12 weeks and feel very nervous.

lemons44 · 15/09/2025 09:13

Sorry 13 weeks I meant.

Timetotryagain · 15/09/2025 10:06

@lemons44 good luck for this afternoon! I was sooo nervous for mine think my heart rate was like 150 🙈🙈

@lemonwrighty so nice that you can feel movement now i bet thats so reassuring!!

@FlatWhiteAnyone yep with 2 little ones i imagine you are exhausted! Will you find out the sex with this baby?

@magpie234 good luck with greece hopefully now its september its not as hot! I woild be exhausted too travelling

13 weeks now and getting some pelvic pain

FlatWhiteAnyone · 15/09/2025 10:59

Hi @Timetotryagain, no no mine are not little anymore 😅 that’s why wasn’t expected to gave this level of fatigue! But thus week much much better.
Yes, hopefully will know the sex with NIPT results, doing it this Friday. With my first I didn’t, and was too much anxiety and unknown.. I prefer to know 🤗
What about you?

SamVan · 15/09/2025 11:43

Hi all! Glad everyone's pregnancies are going well. Just wondering for those who did NIPT, which one did you pick? It sounds like Veriseq and SAFE are the London ones - one is by Doctor's Lab and one by Guy's hospital. There are so many options I'm not quite sure which one to go with.

lemons44 · 15/09/2025 12:15

Thanks @Timetotryagain

@SamVan I went with Future Health, just because they were the ones my local baby scanning place used. Did the test on a Thursday and had the results the next Friday. Will you find out the sex?

lemons44 · 15/09/2025 12:17

@SamVan I would double check where they are being processed as it may be quicker to get the result if processed in England. Mine was processed in Nottingham I think. Some places do it overseas x

I am feeling so nauseous today at 6+4. Nothing I do relieves it and it lasts all day every day. The thought of this going on for months more is sending me 😔

Had a private scan @ wkend which went well..

Finding out the gender early Oct

worldwidetravel2017 · 15/09/2025 12:35

Do any of u get 'pregnancy head aches '?

lemonwrighty · 15/09/2025 18:32

@Timetotryagain yes it is very reassuring especially the last few days i have felt quite a lot of movement so my anxiety has definitely reduce a lot

@lemons44 I was around 15 weeks and I’ll be 18 weeks on Friday.

lemons44 · 15/09/2025 18:44

The scan went well although baby was facing the wrong way so was a little hard to measure him. I am measuring 13+2 with an estimated due date of 21st March. Is this the same date as you @Timetotryagain? I know from my transfer I am 13 exactly but I suppose the measurements can vary a bit.

@worldwidetravel2017 yes, for me headaches have been a symptom. I had two or three really bad ones where I had to have a cold flannel on my head and go to bed. Then a few mild ones.

wow @lemonwrighty that’s amazing. I did read some women can feel them from 16 weeks but didn’t know that they can be felt earlier. So exciting. It must ease the stress and anxiety a bit when you can actually feel baby. I will be looking out for any feelings!!

SamVan · 15/09/2025 20:47

@lemons44 thanks! Yes I will stick to a uk one for faster results. Congrats on a good scan! My baby is usually between -3 and +3 days - every tech is different and the position can change too.

lemons44 · 15/09/2025 21:54

I know this is a bit ‘2020’ but is anyone else a bit nervous about getting covid whilst pregnant? I know it’s doing the rounds again. I had it twice before and felt so awful both times, everything hurt, and I’ve started to worry if it would harm the baby if I get it in the next 6 months.

Timetotryagain · 16/09/2025 07:19

Morning :)

@lemon44 yeah i am the same 13+3 today, think i was measurring 1 day ahead but because they had my transfer date they kept that as my due date. Glad your scan went well ❤ i am weary of any viral illness tbh so getting my flu jab soon annoyingly pregnant woman arent offered covid vaccine this year not sure why
I had it in my last pregnancy

@lemonwrighty in my last pregnancy i felt them at 14/15 weeks and so i hope its the same this time!

@FlatWhiteAnyone yeah i will deffo find out the sex i think! So excited

@worldwidetravel2017 i have been having more headaches than usual. I try and sleep them off

@SamVan i was looking at nipt but so expensive when we have already spent so much haha!

I'll probably get a covid booster jab done privately, I had one last year as I was mid IVF egg retrieval and didn't want to get sick. Can't remember what I paid but it wasn't loads and I think worth it! nhs will cover a flu jab or course, will get that early October

Timetotryagain · 16/09/2025 08:49

@Orangewillow oh i hadnt thought of that i might do the same!

lemonwrighty · 16/09/2025 10:38

@lemons44it really does especially if you’re already anxious as it is, feeling a bit of movement does help. DH thought my belly was just grumbling but when it happened again he looked at me and he knew it was the baby, it a different kind of feeling and very amazing to feel. Can tell it’s my first baby 😂

I won’t be having the Covid jab, when DH had covid he wasn’t severe, it was just a normal cold for him and I never caught it off him either. I’m not a sicky person either, can’t remember the last time I was poorly but I will have the flu vaccine at 20 weeks

@Timetotryagain aww that’s so good. I was starting to feel paranoid maybe I wasn’t feeling anything that early but I’m glad you felt the same. Hopefully it won’t be long before you start feeling movement

SamVan · 16/09/2025 13:13

I am worried about getting covid too - it's annoying that it isn't part of the standard vaccine protocol for pregnancy. I recall being quoted £100 at boots for it when I asked last year. I've been seeing studies showing that some developmental issues are linked to infections during pregnancy so I'm really trying to avoid falling ill especially as I'm on prednisolone at the moment.

I've also seen that there has been a lot of criticism of the govt's decision to withdraw the vaccine from pregnant women. As far as I can tell it's purely cost related rather than based on the best interest of mum and baby so I think I'm going to do it privately once I'm in my second trimester just to be on the safe side.

Timetotryagain · 18/09/2025 10:59

Hey ladies :) 13+5 now and nausea pretty much gone but still exhausted and a bit faint. So hope i start to feel more energetic soon

@worldwidetravel2017 oh thats good you have had it done :)

Is that because of your medical issues its likely to be early? I think we bought a little outfit last time as our first purchase and it felt scary but real haha!

A number of reasons tbh
I have low papp a too.

Ive been on metformin since spring 2024 - theres a reason they are waiting til viability week before they take me off it for 2 weeks to then do gestational diabeties test

My body has a,lot going on

Timetotryagain · 18/09/2025 12:28

@worldwidetravel2017 oh bless you, a lot on your mind then. Glad that they are keeping a close eye on you!

We have a 16 week scan with the consultant in a few weeks. I wonder if they will tell us the gender at that scan?
