@Orangewillow its a really frustrating period isnt it! I feel the ivf clinic should have to do a proper handover of care to GP and say "this is what we hsve prescribed, this is what we recomend, we are no longer providing this care and she is now in hands of go sort of thing

@confused2025 thats a good idea, i saw a private gynae a few years ago for fertility so if they dont get back to me this week i could always book a consultation with him

Totally. My clinic prescribed all the IVF meds I needed, I've come off progesterone as of 2 weeks ago, but they're going to keep prescribing my thyroid meds, as the NHS won't! Annoying to have to pay but I'd rather do that than not have it

SamVan · 29/08/2025 11:52

@Timetotryagain that sounds so frustrating! Surely your clinic can still provide you with a prescription? At mine I just need to call them and they'll provide it immediately.
@lemons44 Good luck with your NIPT test!

I'm still struggling with waiting for scans. Currently I'm having it every week but the way is still crap. I'm hoping once I hit 8/10 weeks it'll get better.

Trying to get my gp to prescribe cyclogest until 16 weeks is like trying to get blood out of a stone. "You need to speak to your ivf clinic"

"I have beem discharged from them now"

"Well i need confirmation from a obstetrician can they confirm it?"

"I dont have am obstetrician i am 11 weeks pregnant and my care is under the gp at the moment"

I told her about the NICE guidelines for spotting and previous miscarriage meaning i should get it till 16 weeks but she was being really annoying. She is gonna ask an obstetrician and i am like ffs thats a waste of time but okay please do

Gp may agree crinome gel til 16 wks - my gp was up 4 that

Has anybody had round ligament pain? I thought 10 weeks is too early but sometimes I get a sharp tightening/pulling cramp like feeling (not really painful) when I move suddenly. Like this evening when I started laughing I felt it on one side of my uterus and it took me by surprise as felt really strong! and sometimes when I get out of bed I feel it too

Timetotryagain · 29/08/2025 21:14

@lemons44 i have had this since 4 weeks haha (it is my 2nd pregnancy though!) When i sneeze or get up from lauing down for a while its sore at the bottom

@worldwidetravel2017 not heard of crinome gel, i will ask them!

@SamVan whens your next scan? Mine is in 2 weeks when i will be nearly 13 weeks

worldwidetravel2017 · 29/08/2025 21:29

I’ve had this since about 6weeks (I’m currently 11weeks), still get a fright every time it happens, normally after I’ve been sat down for a while and stand too quickly. I’ve been told it’s normal but every time it happens I panic it’s the first signs of a loss 😫

Timetotryagain · 31/08/2025 09:38

@worldwidetravel2017 is lubion progesterone? I am just on the supposetories but also worried to stop them at 12 weeks (currently 11+1), how was your scan?

@KayEmmSquared yeah i hate any pains :(

Unfortunately the lady in there b4 me had a miscarriage
So that was v sad & v triggering

Dancing upside down
Moving around
Grown a nose
Measuring on time etc

lemons44 · 31/08/2025 19:39

Thanks everyone for the reassurance about the pains.

Now i am running around after them, getting climbed on all day, kicked when trying to put their clothes on etc. I am sure baby is well protected but does stress me

@Timetotryagain my NHS scan is 2 weeks from today when I should be 13 weeks. I think that’s so long away not sure I will last that long without one in between. When is yours?

It must be hard with a toddler too but what I would say is millions of women have probably been pregnant and had toddlers climbing over them and been fine! Also when I had my 10 week scan the sonographer said the baby would be behind my pubic bone? So I would have thought it’s still tucked away really low down?

Is anybody still on eostrogen? I’ve pushed for my consultant to review mine as I think I should be weening off it by now as my FET was super ovulation and not medicated. He has said I can stop vaginal root today and start tapering down the oral ones.

How is anyone dealing with anxiety between scans? Any tips or is everyone else climbing the walls?! Struggling at the moment and finding it hard to think about much else. Spoke to my partner about it a bit and he was sympathetic but he’s also Mr Optimistic so doesn’t really feel it the same way. It’s really weighing on me not knowing if things are ok.

lemons44 · 02/09/2025 11:54

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017

@Strawberrryfields I am also having anxiety. How many weeks are you now and when was your last scan?

I think I have probably gone OTT to be honest. I have had quite a few already and not even got to my NHS one yet. If you can afford a private one and it will put your mind at rest, it might really help?

confused2025 · 02/09/2025 11:56

Yes. Last night I had to go to the bathroom at 1am, 4am and 6am and struggling without caffeine. I am very thankful for my pregnancy pillow though. I would be lost without it.
@Strawberrryfields I hear you. I have a local midwife appointment on Friday where they just listen to the heartbeat and then my next scan is the 26th just after holiday and it’s the 20 week one so I’m so nervous. I wish it was sooner.
@lemons44 estrogen will have done its part at this stage. I came off this at 8 weeks. I think it’s progesterone that’s key until the placenta is fully able to take over x
