Hi - I couldn’t find a thread but just wondered if anyone else was expecting in 2026 post ivf? I’m due end of Feb so just wanting any similar ladies to chat with!

Having a reassurance scan tomorrow (should be 10wks) and booking appointment day after.

@magpie234 think I remember your name from previous threads. I used to me infertilityandme

magpie234 · 26/08/2025 15:26

@Timetotryagain@PlanBFertility I recognise both your names… you both got positives fairly early in the thread and I was so hoping I would join you so am very happy to be here!

I think I will be booking quite a lot of reassurance scans (is that actually what they’re called?) in this pregnancy if it continues!!! I’d like one every day at this rate 😭😂 Besf of luck for yours tomorrow @PlanBFertility

lemonwrighty · 27/08/2025 14:11

Hope everyone is doing well.

Will anyone be finding out the gender of their bubba? DH and I are undecided, I don’t want to, he does.

Edited

Im ' that ' person that will have had 2 private scans by 12 wks

lemonwrighty · 27/08/2025 14:34

@worldwidetravel2017 how far along are you?
I have booked a private gender scan for 14th September, that will put me at 17+2.
My 20 week scan isn’t until the 10th Oct which I will actually be 21 weeks by then. I cant wait that long to see the baby again

lemons44 · 27/08/2025 14:37

@magpie234 i also recognise your username. I’ve been on a lot of threads over the years so our paths have probably crossed before. I have had 3 scans so far and am only 10 weeks so don’t worry. My IVF clinic gave me two and I booked a private one when my symptoms disappeared. The private sonographer I saw was so nice and said that basically IVF pregnancies are so anxious and ‘just do what you need to do to get through the first trimester’. I thought that was good advice.

@lemonwrighty we are having the NIPT test tomorrow (assuming baby is still ok when they scan me) and that will tell us the gender as part of the results. I used to want a surprise but my feelings have changed now.

lemons44 · 27/08/2025 14:39

@PlanBFertilityhope the scan goes ok x

Def gd advice
Re ivf pregnancies
& just do what youve gotta

I will have had3 epu scans
& 2 private 1s
& ivf clinic1

Strawberrryfields · 27/08/2025 14:48

@lemonwrighty We’re hoping to keep it a surprise till they’re born. I like the excitement and anticipation of not knowing. With my first, my partner told me and it was a really special moment. I think ivf also takes so much of the mystery/ surprise out of pregnancy so I liked not knowing for that reason too.

PlanBFertility · 27/08/2025 16:29

Went for what should have been my 10 week scan today, looking forward to seeing my baby.

baby died at 7wks so literally few days after ivf clinic scan. I am beyond devastated and don’t really know where to go from here.

Timetotryagain · 27/08/2025 16:40

@PlanBFertility i am so unbelievably sorry to read your update, thats absolutely devastating especially after ivf :( a few years ago similar happened to me found out at 9 weeks and it was just devestating.

Sending you so much love and thoughts :( xxxx

confused2025 · 27/08/2025 16:58

@PlanBFertilityI am sending you a hug. I’m so sorry this has happened and I hope you can take some time to process. This journey is so tough and just know you are in my thoughts x

@Strawberrryfieldsyes I like the idea of what you did for you first. I have always dreamt of my DH telling me what the baby is as I feel that’s a really special moment. He wants to find out but ultimately if we’re not on the same page then we wont do anything until we are

@confused2025 yes I’ve had 1 scan from the ivf clinic, 2 epu scans @ 11 and 13 week & 1 scan from my nhs 12 week. It’s such a huge wait from 12-20 weeks

worldwidetravel2017 · 27/08/2025 17:11

Im consultant led care & very high risk so nhs are giving me a 16 week scan

Will probably get private scans at 14 weeks & 18 weeks

( pregnancy after loss = hard )

Timetotryagain · 27/08/2025 17:23

@worldwidetravel2017 i just got through a scan appointment for 16 weeks too with the consultant xx

Strawberrryfields · 27/08/2025 17:29

@lemonwrighty yeah that’s makes sense and you still have plenty of time to decide ☺️

( im waiting for mine too - i know it was requested last week but yeah )

Nice to have extra scans

worldwidetravel2017 · 27/08/2025 17:34

Are you guys getting the flu jab?

Totally agree, it’s really hard to trust the process when you’ve had that experience. I am really trying to see this pregnancy as its own thing but some days that’s harder than others.

I think if I get to 12 I’ll book at private one at 16 as 12-20 feels like a lifetime. Was thinking there might even be some flickers of movement around by 16 which would definitely be reassuring🤞But also don’t think I’ll fully take a breath till they’re in my arms!

worldwidetravel2017 · 27/08/2025 17:42

Additionally i have aps
/ anti philosphid syndrome

Which = not good

& highers a load of risks

lemonwrighty · 27/08/2025 17:42

@Strawberrryfields we’re actually having a private gender scan done at 17 weeks so the gender will be sat in a envelope probably locked away somewhere so we’re both not tempted to open it until we decide to.

@worldwidetravel2017 I’m booked for flu jab just after my 21 week scan, I’ve not thought too much into it really. Are there any pros/cons to having it / not having it done other than the obvious?
