I thought I would start a thread for those scheduled for a FET in May.

Had egg collection in Feb, feels like forever ago now.

I have just started a medicated FET cycle. Started taking norethisterone today. Provisional transfer scheduled for May 27th.

Anyone else on a similar timeline?

Thanks @FrostedFlake and @camelinastorm! Which clinics are you at? My doc wants me to take it cause of natural killer cells but honestly the science on that is so shaky atm and I’m not sure it’s worth the risk of taking steroids so I’m not sure what to do. This round I’m using up my remaining nhs embryos and the nhs doesn’t believe in nk cells affecting pregnancy so I’m just doing a regular natural modified cycle. My private doc says that because I’ve had three failures it’s worth trying something else but I also know I just create crap embryos - literally 10 good quality embryos and none euploid. 😭 good luck to you both for this round!

The embryologist called me today to confirm the time for the scan, it’s Tuesday morning, feeling excited, but also nervous! They will be thawing our embryo the morning of, I’m so worried I’m gonna get a call telling us it’s not survived. I know it’s rare, but as we only have one, it’s weighing on my mind. @SamVan I am at a clinic in Cyprus, I'm happy with the steroids tbh but not the infusion thing, I just feel not enough evidence the round I was on steroids implanted but unfortunately miscarriaged at 6 weeks

I’ve been on steroids for a long time and prior to doing this IVF round and booth my immunologist and fertility consultant recommend a low dose of steroids for IVF which was reassuring to hear.

that’s very exciting @OneQuirkyPanda! do they do a scan prior to the transfer? I get bloods done the day before to make sure I’ve ovulated so my transfer is only provisionally booked.

Honestly, it’s so hard not to overthink with this process! Do you have a transfer date yet?

@camelinastorm @FrostedFlake thanks I feel more comfortable knowing it’s quite a standard protocol. What dose are you guys on? My consultant is prescribing 20mg.

@SamVan I’m on 10 prior to the transfer and then 20mg which is my usual done anyways. I know steroids aren’t amazing for you but if I don’t take them I’m in agony and even 10mg a day makes such a huge difference to my day to day.

@FrostedFlake yes for sure it makes sense if you have a medical condition and I know they prescribe it for that. I think the controversy about using it is when there’s no medical condition but just elevated nk cells. But at least there’s no potential harm to the baby. My doc says I can start after we get a positive test anw as most of the research is on preventing miscarriage.

Not yet. Still waiting for AF so I can start. Hopefully some time this week 🤞🏼 I’ll likely be later May.

Hello everyone, I had a FET April 28th and I couldn’t wait anymore today and I took a test (5 days post transfer). It’s very faint but I believe it’s a positive 🥹

4 years TTC, 4 miscarriages, this is my first IVF transfer. Embryo is PGT-A tested so I really hope this is it 🙏🏻 had to share here as I couldn’t share with hubby. I promised I would have waited the 2WW before testing 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

I also tend to be an early tester as I just can’t wait and rather know either way!

I still can’t believe it. Trying not to freak out with worries, but I was so excited I couldn’t sleep last night 🙈
It’s a long journey so I will take it very easy. During the transfer the embryo stuck to the catheter so they had to repeat the procedure, Somehow that hiccup made me certain it wouldn’t work, but here we are 🥹🤞 good luck to all of you x

took another test today and the line is still there and getting slightly darker so I really hope it will progress🤞

So the last couple of days iv been spotting and a little too much info, I have lost a small chunk of something. I'm mid cycle and it's around ovulation time. I dont track ovulation but my app says im in my fertile window. Should I email my clinic about this? Not sure what is going on, it's been 3 days now.

Today is CD1 for me.. eeeeee. Nervous wait begins now!! I start my Everol tonight. Provisional transfer date is the 21st, providing all is well with lining scan on the 15th. Then I’ll take a test on the 31st, 8dpt like my last time. Anyone else very superstitious and replicate everything from successful cycles 🙃🙃

@Miraclemuma03 I’d definitely mention it to the clinic. Are you taking any pessaries?

I commented in the wrong group lol was suppose to post in may ivf group but any how no I'm not on pessaries. I'm starting a new ivf cycle this month I was just following along in this group as originally I was suppose to have a transfer this month but last month resulted in complete fertilisation failure so have to start over but now I'm spotting in between cycles and have had some sort of loss of something so wasn't sure if I should contact my clinic.

Hi all, best of luck with your cycles. My clinic are being as clear as mud so can any of you help please... I’ve still not had a period after coming off the mini pill and clinic have said it doesn’t matter I can still do a frozen transfer but when? I have to wait until end May for my nurses appt to go through forms and drugs so they say they’ll discuss then, but why can’t they say now?!
Can I just start drugs any day, and then how many days do I take drugs before transfer. Thanks! x
