I thought I would start a thread for those scheduled for a FET in May.

Had egg collection in Feb, feels like forever ago now.

I have just started a medicated FET cycle. Started taking norethisterone today. Provisional transfer scheduled for May 27th.

Anyone else on a similar timeline?

@OneQuirkyPanda
100% this. Isnt it crazy that people can actually enjoy the process of getting pregnant Grin

Im feeling so tired and lethargic today also but not really any cramping. Kind of want to feel cramps to feel like it’s actually doing something !

@FrostedFlake@spamOFtheDAY glad your transfers went well. Sounds like you both got quite a lot of medication so hoping the side effects are not too rough. I dislike the progesterone injections let alone blood thinners too!

spamOFtheDAY · 08/05/2025 13:45

So when’s everyone going to test?!
😝

haha going to really try to wait till a week Saturday but have a feeling I’ll cave before then 🙈

YourBusyZebra · 08/05/2025 14:00

Hey wishing everyone the best of luck with their embryo transfers this month!
I just had my frozen transfer yesterday which all went well and I'm feeling exhausted today and all crampy, hopefully all positive signs 😊
I think the next 2 weeks are going to be crazy, waiting to see what the result is, I'm so nervous and scared

mumtrovert · 08/05/2025 14:18

Good luck to everyone who had their transfer recently! Seems like a few of you, so hopefully we get some BFPs soon ♥️

PixieJxoxo · 08/05/2025 14:29

The blood thinner injections are awful aren't they?

I'm the same @FrostedFlake - the needle feels so much thicker than the other ones. I find it burns and aches a lot after I've taken it out too - takes your breath away at times.

I've been doing the blood thinners for almost two weeks now and I haven't found anything that helped - tried icing before/after the injection, i think this made it feel worse for me. I read somewhere that you shouldn't rub the injection site as that can also make it more painful. The only thing that seemed to help a bit with the bruising was Arnica gel (i just bought a tube off amazon). It has definitely helped heal some of the black bruises i had from the injections, but it is slow progress.

I'm 7dp5dt today and really feeling the tiredness, to the point I can't even concentrate at work. Also feeling ravenous but when I do eat, can't have very much and then feel nauseas. But i'm putting this all down to the progesterone.

@YourBusyZebra hopefully those are all signs of your embryo getting cosy!

How's everyone getting on with not early testing? I feel like I'm about to cave...

FrostedFlake · 08/05/2025 14:59

I have no symptoms at all and wish I did but I’ve been the same with all the pregnancies whether successful or not. Other than the tiredness and needing power naps. I think those are that’s a great signs @PixieJxoxo hopefully you will see two strong lines when you test! You’ve already made it a week which is amazing! I always test at 4dp5dt. Last time I promised to myself not to test or get tests as it’s just so easy to reach for one when feeling weak but forgot about it and ordered 8 from Amazon, they just make shipping too easy 😅
@YourBusyZebra welcome to 1dp5dt club! It’s amazing that there’s now three of us! When are you planning on testing? How are you feeling?

YourBusyZebra · 08/05/2025 15:09

@FrostedFlake
Thank you😊 I've been told to test on the 22nd may but I think I'll probably cave and test half way through that time😅 I dunno my head is all over the place at the moment , (will it work or not)and I feel super exhausted. I have the day off today and I've spent most of it reading about how you feel after transfers. back to work tomorrow so we will see how that goes!
How are you feeling?

spamOFtheDAY · 08/05/2025 15:23

I’m the same and have never had any symptoms (2 pregnancies, 1 successful)

I’ve been given 18th to test.
decided if test the 16th as out for lunch so will see if I have a glass of wine or not 😝

but now thinking I might test the Thursday (8dp) because if by some miracle it is positive I’ll need to order some more meds (I made the executive decision not to buy a whole pack of medications just to get 1 extra day out of them…)

FrostedFlake · 08/05/2025 15:38

It’s so interesting that we all have different test dates @spamOFtheDAY @YourBusyZebra mine is on the 20th. We’ve been pregnant three times with one live birth and this is our 4th transfer after 3 IVF rounds and I can kind of judge by day 4/5 test whether it’s ok or not based on the previous tests. I knew with our last pregnancy that the tests didn’t seem right from the start even though they were progressing really well and the clinic even tested my HCG to reassure me and the results came back high. I did say to myself just wait and see as ultimately there’s nothing you can do either way so we shall see.

OneQuirkyPanda · 08/05/2025 16:30

spamOFtheDAY · 08/05/2025 13:45

So when’s everyone going to test?!
😝

I caved and bought 20 easy @ home strips from Amazon 🙈 I’d like to say I will wait until at least 8dpt, but I’m so impatient I’m sure I will do one sooner.

camelinastorm · 08/05/2025 16:56

Anyone got any good tips, super nervous, super anxious and worried about tomorrow this will be my 5th transfer and very last as no more left in the freezer, I thought I was quite calm and collective but now it's tomorrow I'm super stressed

Great news on all the transfers that have occured already
@PixieJxoxo is there a reason for blood thinners for so long before I was only given 4 days before now panic mode is setting again 🤣

Anniekent1 · 08/05/2025 17:00

Sorry your feeling anxious @camelinastormno fool proof tips from me as I probably just as bad. But distraction for me is key, reading watching something on telly or getting out for a walk in the sunshine always helps.

i understand the anxiety as this is also my only embryo so there is a lot riding on it but you have done the hard work and now you need to let you body do its thing. There’s nothing more you can do so believe in yourself and your little baby that this is your time and you deserve this x

OneQuirkyPanda · 08/05/2025 18:06

@camelinastorm I haven’t got any tips sorry, anxiety has really set in for me today too, went to see my friend and her baby and just felt like it won’t happen for me. Feel very down and negative despite feeling so positive the last two days. Finding it really hard to take my mind off it as well, I’m back at work tomorrow so hopefully that will help distract me.

Ha ha I like it. Not just testing early but testing 20 times!

SamVan · 08/05/2025 19:35

Hi all, I had my fourth transfer. I did two embryos so I'm both worried that it won't work, and that I'll have twins (or more). When will the worrying end?
Good luck to everyone this round!

those symptoms sound promising 🤞

Thank you! I bought a 5 pack of the clearblue ultra early tests on the way home from work today 🙈 promising myself they’re for days 11-15 but not sure if I’ll make it!

I’ve got some FRER too but I feel a bit triggered by those ones - the stark white negatives over the last three years where I’d obsessively test from 8dpo onwards 🫠 I know the clearblue aren’t as sensitive (10miu vs 6.3miu for the FRER), but by 11dp5dt I’m sure it won’t matter!

PixieJxoxo · 08/05/2025 20:00

@camelinastorm no tips either, I’m afraid. I’m quite a stressy person, so the only thing that helped me was to remember that they wouldn’t transfer if they didn’t there was a really good chance of it working - your uterus is prepped, the embryo is of a good enough quality to transfer. From transfer to test day, there’s no more you can do (beyond taking your meds and following the clinic’s advice). I know that that might freak some people out, feeling the lack of control (and normally I’d also be freaked out!!), but there was something comforting about it post transfer for me.

I'm not too sure re: blood thinners; they were always part of my FET protocol, but then after a few bloods tests where I had high platelets they wanted me on a higher dose of 4000 units vs the 2000 I was originally prescribed. I have a history of migraines so I wonder if it’s to do with that and the oestrogen we have to take. I didn’t realise blood thinners weren’t in everyone’s protocol, weirdly I just assumed everyone had them for FET and didn’t question it!

FrostedFlake · 08/05/2025 20:14

I think blood thinners are normally used in IVF due to history of previous loss (outside of someone needing them normally anyways) and my understanding is that they make your blood less “sticky” and there could be better flow to the uterus and placenta to support the pregnancy. It’s usually the same with steroids, and they are to reduce any inflammation and your body attacking itself/the embryo and I’m not too sure what baby aspirin does. TBH I would really prefer not to be on all
the additional meds specially blood thinners ☠️ but whatever helps the little ones stick 🙌🏻

FrostedFlake · 08/05/2025 20:16

@SamVan welcome to the 2WW. Did you have your transfer today? How are you feeling?

I was actually asking our embryologist during the transfer about twins post day 5 as there’s a few twins on my side and he said that in his 20+ years it has only happened 3 times so I guess it’s quite unlikely.

SamVan · 08/05/2025 20:44

@FrostedFlake Thanks I had it yesterday. I'm feeling ok! trying to remember not to jump or move around too vigorously! What about you? How are you finding it?

That's good to know! I was so torn about transferring two and different doctors/clinics have different guidelines but the data on twin pregnancy didn't seem to apply to us with our low grade embryos. Anyway it's too late now to have second thoughts! Hate the OWW (cause I always test by 7 days).

camelinastorm · 09/05/2025 11:26

Hi all transfer completed, just currently chilling whilst I lay down for 1hr (clinics rules) I have been put on an additional steroid to assist so fingers crossed

SamVan · 09/05/2025 12:16

@camelinastorm good luck!!! I hope it’s a sticky one 😊 I didn’t do steroids this round in the end but will go for it next round if this fails.

PixieJxoxo · 09/05/2025 13:34

@camelinastorm good luck!! Fingers crossed embryo is nestling in!
