May 2025 FET

I thought I would start a thread for those scheduled for a FET in May.

Had egg collection in Feb, feels like forever ago now.

I have just started a medicated FET cycle. Started taking norethisterone today. Provisional transfer scheduled for May 27th.

Anyone else on a similar timeline?

@mumtrovert

So sorry to hear that. Sending love

mumtrovert · 02/06/2025 07:56

@Blueskycat how are you doing lovely? Have you tested yet?

Today is OTD for me, I’ve continued to have faint positives and today I think has gotten lighter. The clinic want me to test tomorrow and if still faint positive will bring me in for bloods.
@FrostedFlake hope you’re doing okay. When did yours turn negative? Have you thought about any future cycles yet? I’ve asked if I can do a FET straight after but she said she’d have to consult with Dr.

Pic of my tests for reference. It took me till day 10 to figure out how to take a decent picture of them 🙄

@mumtrovert I’m doing ok thanks for checking in ❤️ I haven’t tested yet and think I can make it to Weds ODT now. I feel a bit like I’m living in denial but I really hate testing so happy to put it off as long as possible and hold onto the hope!

How have you been doing? I hope you get what you need to move to your next FET quickly, whether that’s bloods or a negative test.
Really great that you have another frozen embryo so can do another transfer without delays or another EC.

mumtrovert · 02/06/2025 09:06

@Blueskycat I can totally see why you’d want to
hold off testing. Praying Weds gives you good news.
I’ve been okay.. I’m upset of course, and was in limbo a bit yesterday because I thought my test was a bit darker, still held on to a flicker of hope. But I’ve come to terms that it’s just not worked out. I just hope that I can have a FET straight after instead of waiting.

Raegs · 02/06/2025 09:41

@mumtrovert sorry to read this - hope you can get started up again soon

Thank you @Raegs good luck for your testing this week x

Blueskycat · 02/06/2025 15:41

@mumtrovert glad you’re ok, sounds like a tough couple of days though. The hope is killer… Let us know what the clinic say, really hope there’s no delay for you.

Thanks for your good wishes, I’ll update here on Weds 🤞🏽

@Raegs when are you testing? Anyone else testing this week?

Raegs · 02/06/2025 15:44

@mumtrovert thank you 🙏🏽

@Blueskycat I did have Wednesday in my head which would be 8dpo5dt. The clinic told me to test Friday. Unless I can distract myself I feel like I want to test tomorrow morning 🫣

@Raegs ah well wishing for a lovely BFP for you whenever you test!

I’m a bit of a test avoider so it’ll be OTD Weds for me…

Sofree90 · 02/06/2025 18:17

I had my 6 week scan today, had previously posted my tests that I thought showed a slow line progression. Should have been 6w2d today and measuring 5w6d so 3 days behind. They said they don’t worry unless it is more than 4 days behind. We saw a fetal pole and yolk sac but no heartbeat which she said can be very normal at this stage. Anyone else had an early scan yet? Feel like this isn’t progressing as it should and hasn’t been from the start!

PixieJxoxo · 02/06/2025 19:36

@Sofree90 I had an early private scan on Saturday and i was measuring a bit behind too (a day behind so 6w+6 instead of 7 weeks). Yeah, they said it the same as you, nothing to really worry about and a difference of even 1mm can mean a difference of a few days. The technician also said that actually with IVF babies, they end up gaining a lot between 6-8 weeks and end up measuring ahead because the 'strongest/best' embryos have been chosen specifically. I know probably just anecdotal evidence from the midwife, but honestly, I was happy to hear it! We did see the heartbeat (just a flicker on the screen) so it wasn't measured or anything, fingers crossed you see a heartbeat very soon too! I want to say that before 6 weeks it's mega hard to see the heartbeat accurately and it can really also depend on how new/advanced the ultrasound machines are with how early you can see it.

Do you have another scan booked in soon?

Sofree90 · 02/06/2025 20:12

Huge congratulations @PixieJxoxo :) That’s interesting about ivf babies gaining between 6-8 weeks and hopefully reassuring. Yes they are scanning me again in a week so guess we will know more then. It’s going to be a long week! When is your next scan?

PixieJxoxo · 03/06/2025 13:23

@Sofree90 thank you! i'm still mega anxious about it all. I have my NHS scan on friday, so that should be just shy of 8 weeks. oh that's good you're getting one next week - hopefully these next 6 days go mega quick for you!

Blueskycat · 04/06/2025 08:11

Sadly a BFN for me this morning 😔 Trying not to spiral into thinking that it won’t happen for us… it was only our first transfer and we’re lucky to have embryos frozen so hoping it won’t be long before we can do another FET.

mumtrovert · 04/06/2025 08:25

Oh I’m so sorry @Blueskycat I was really hoping you would have the luck out of us. I’m currently sat waiting for bloods and should know my beta this afternoon. Hoping it’s low enough to just stop medication now and stop dragging this out 😞 might see you on another thread in the future (sadly for us both). Take care of yourself x

Blueskycat · 04/06/2025 08:43

Thank you @mumtrovert , it’s been nice to do this journey with you just such a shame it hasn’t worked out for either of us this time 😔

Good luck with your beta result this afternoon, and hopefully we’re both on our next lucky FET before long 🍀

EmmaLouise6790 · 04/06/2025 10:33

Aww @mumtrovert I'm sorry 🥹 and sorry to @Blueskycat too, this is such a tough journey :(

Raegs · 04/06/2025 15:04

Sorry to hear this @Blueskycat - fingers crossed for the next FET and hopefully can get started soon as with that.

I did test this morning and was a faint positive. I am 8dpo5dt today. Plan to test tomorrow morning and OTD is Friday and again Monday. Hoping line darkens 🤞🏽

Have had very light spotting yesterday, cramps and metallic taste in my mouth. Still trying to keep distracted and calm about it all.

mumtrovert · 04/06/2025 15:45

I hope that line darkens for you @Raegs everything crossed! Exciting for you to have a faint line at least.

My beta is 10 mIU/mL, back on Friday for another one to see what happens. Feels like a very drawn out process and keeps me hanging on to the tiniest drop of hope, even though 10 is incredibly low. 🙄

ali2021 · 04/06/2025 16:44

So sorry to those of you who got a BFN recently. Seems like a lot sadly. @Raegs congratulations- I am also 8dp5dt and planning to test Friday after work.

Hey sorry to randomly jump in this thread, I'm due to start taking norethisterone on Tuesday before my FET, can I ask how long you took it for and how long after you had a bleed? X

Raegs · 05/06/2025 14:52

Good luck for tomorrow @ali2021 🤞🏽

I only had norethisterone before starting stims, but had it for 14 days and bled within about 3-4 days of stopping. Hope the start of your FET goes well!

@waitingforourmiracle I think I took it for around 10 days prior to my FET then bled after stopping within 2 days.

How's everyone getting on? I know a few of you had OTDs in the last week or so?
