BFP after IVF: 2025

Wondering if anyone else has had a BFN after IVF in the past few months? Guessing if so, most would be due October / November / December.

I just can’t get into the due month groups on the main pregnancy page as my headspace is so different after struggling with infertility back to back losses and IVF.

I’m 7weeks after 5AA transfer in February and have had 1 MMC and 2 ectopics. Due date is 11th November (if I make it that far). No children.

@Xwx1010 I'm sorry to hear about your spotting. Sometimes there can be innocent explanations for it but any sight of blood during pregnancy is terrifying and devastating. I would recommend calling your early pregnancy unit and getting a scan. It could be a subchorionic haematoma or anything!

@Ngall24 mine was my only embryo as well out of 5 fertilised, I was so gutted and everyone kept saying “it only takes one” and I just didn’t believe them!

When has everyone stopped testing? I feel like I’m stressing myself out more now comparing line progression etc every morning 🙄 I was going to maybe do tomorrow and Sunday (otd) and then stop once I’ve told the clinic?

It’s so stupid really cos if this was a “normal” pregnancy, I’d be two days late today, do a test and get a pretty solid line and be like “yep okay I’m pregnant” and probably wouldn’t test again?? I don’t regret testing earlier than otd because I was going kinda crazy waiting but it’s definitely added another stress into it checking progression etc. I’m also then worrying that I haven’t had a dye stealer yet and also it’s taking a while to appear each morning? Like a faint like comes up instantly as the dye is going across the strip but then it takes a few minutes to get darker. Might just be the brand I’m using they’re only Amazon cheapies 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m still testing although I’m trying to quit! I really want the line to be darker than the control which it maybe is just about but I want it to be darker!

@PrincessofLiechtenstein yeah mine still isn’t darker or even equal to the control line but I feel like I’m going to stress myself more now lol. At least after Sunday when I tell the clinic and they arrange scan etc maybe I’ll be more calm and then stop 😬
I definitely feel bloody pregnant now lol 🤢 apparently my morning sickness has decided to start early, my sister was assuring me I wouldn’t get it til 6 weeks!

@captainsmaloh you definitely have to keep testing until at least Sunday. That’s totally rational!

I thought I did my last test this morning, but I just found some more in another bag so I could keep it going for at least another week!

@PrincessofLiechtenstein I have at least 10 left I think but I think I’d drive myself insane if I keep going so Sunday seems a good place to stop. I might even go get a digital for Sunday/Monday just to see the actual “pregnant” bit and then I can’t analyse the line for ages 😅
Ive had loads of cramping all week and now it’s randomly gone again 😭 it’s normal for stuff to come and go right?

@captainsmalI bought a clear blue weeks one to be my “official” test and there were two in the pack, thinking of doing the other one on Monday and hopefully will be 3+ weeks

Then I’ll definitely stop. I promise! 😅

Stuff definitely comes and goes, and I’ve not really had any cramping as painful as you by the sound of it. More strange stabbing twinges. I think it’s also totally normal to feel nothing at this stage.

I also keep waking up and my boob have stopped hurting, that was sending me into a spin until I realised it was getting worse as the day goes on!

@PrincessofLiechtenstein yeah I’ve had twinges and stuff but it was the other day for a couple of days bad period pains, I think maybe that was implantation cramps?
I also don’t have sore boobs in the morning and it comes later lol

Omg the boob thing.... that's still me even at 9 weeks 🤣. I can't see this paranoia ever going away!

@BellaRosex I have this paranoia that I’ll wake up and it’s all been in my head or I’ve dreamt it and everyone is like you’re not pregnant omg what are you on about?
😂😂 why are we like this haha. I’m stressing this morning about line progression but it’s still a strong positive so why am I so stressed 😭

Morning everyone. Today is OTD for me! Very dark line this morning on the 10iu cheap tests, not as dark on the 25iu one from Poundland, I hope that doesn’t mean anything bad 😭 maybe that brand just isn’t very good. It’s been sat in my bathroom cupboard for a year tbh lol 😂
Going to email the clinic today and let them know 🥳

Congrats @captainsmalnow you are officially pregnant! Do you know what the next steps are with your clinic?

I had some spotting yesterday which threw me into a total panic, but only lasted a couple of hours so I think it was because we’d had sex. Pregnancy tests are still strong so will obviously monitor but hopefully it won’t happen again.

Xwx1010 I’m really conscious that we’ve not heard from you for a couple of days. I don’t want to @ you in case you want to have some time away from the thread but if you come back to look I just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you xxx

@PrincessofLiechtenstein they said scan will be 2-3 weeks after I let them know so they’ll probably call tomorrow! I also need to order more cyclogest and they may change doses on it etc. I heard spotting after sex is really common in pregnancy. Not going to lie one of the first things I’m going to ask is when I’m allowed to do it again or at least other stuff 😅 I got told not at all during 2ww but I’m paranoid now I’m pregnant to do it… but I’ve always had a very very high sex drive so kinda going crazy now! Keep having dreams haha

Hiya, hope it’s okay to join late. Congratulations to everyone with their positives!
We had BFN in December with our fresh transfer but BFP on March 18th after March 6th frozen transfer. Never had a proper positive before- only super faint lines that all turned out to be chemicals. Been restricting myself to testing every three days to check it’s still there - not planning to stop testing until our scan as I need the reassurance! Scan booked for 8th April. Seems like forever away.

@captainsmal - I have on/off cramping all the time and have done since 2/3 days post transfer. Still testing positive and some of them have been really strong- just like period cramps so hopefully nothing for you to worry about :)

@FlowersRainbow congrats and welcome! Yeah I think cramping is just the uterus stretching, also some of mine may be gas/bloating related too lol

My sickness has disappeared - I was nearly throwing up in the supermarket last week and now I feel back to normal this is exactly what happened last time I had a MMC so not feeling hopeful with that and the red bleeding I had last week.
Mother’s Day was hard too, found out 3(!!) friends pregnant - all of them just ahead of me.

It’s so tough if everyone around you is pregnant as well. It just seems so unfair- especially when they have only been trying for a month which seems to be the situation with most of my friends!

Heard anything yet @captainsmal? I’m still waiting for a call about my scan date as well. Not sure if I ought to chase it up yet. Time seems to move very slowly.

@PrincessofLiechtenstein yes! Got my first scan 17/4 when I will be 7+1. And another couple of weeks worth of cyclogest being delivered sometime next week to tide me over until scan when they’ll decide how long I have to carry on for. I’ve stopped testing now because I can sense it will start worrying me more about lines etc so I hope I won’t get too anxious waiting for the scan now 😬 (this is me I know I will lol)

Hi All.. I hope everyone is doing okay this week!?
I am just wondering if anyone is/has ever taken Pregnacare Max and had it exacerbate nausea?
I have been taking them since 17th March but since last Wednesday 26th I have felt incredibly nauseous all day every day. The thought of eating my regular foods makes me feel sick and the only time I don't feel it is if I am eating some sort of carb!
I am nearly 7 weeks so appreciate this could just be regular sickness but have previously read Pregnacare Max can make it worse?

I forgot to add I am also taking progesterone injections as well as cyclogest and daily clexane injections..so appreciate the nausea could be coming from anywhere!lol

@Ngall24 yes I took pregnancare last time and it was rough, I switched to seven seas but this time I’m taking proceive x
