BFP after IVF: 2025

Wondering if anyone else has had a BFN after IVF in the past few months? Guessing if so, most would be due October / November / December.

I just can’t get into the due month groups on the main pregnancy page as my headspace is so different after struggling with infertility back to back losses and IVF.

I’m 7weeks after 5AA transfer in February and have had 1 MMC and 2 ectopics. Due date is 11th November (if I make it that far). No children.

@PrincessofLiechtenstein I’ve had lots of spotting, brown, red, pink you name it and my scans were ok. My clinic said bleeding is more common in IVF - probably due to all the prodding and poking of collection etc and medication. She showed me all the blood flow in my uterus last time and said there’s so much going blood flow wise so try not to panic.

it all went really well thank you! Baby in the right place and measuring the right size for 7 weeks - even saw a heartbeat! I was so relieved I cried!

Great to hear everyone else is doing okay with some good news from scans and good luck to everyone with upcoming scans!

No actual sickness for me yet but just a weird kind of hungover feeling nausea that never goes away! Plus I am so hungry!

Great to hear your 7 week scan went well - it’s reassuring to know. We’ve got our in less than two weeks and I’m feeling nervous.

IVF feels like a series of different waits from stimulation, follicle growing, embryo development etc… we certainly have to learn to be patient!

I know @LincolnshireHollyhockso much waiting! Wish someone had warned me about that at the start!

Could literally just be more diluted and it’s really hard to tell when the tests aren’t two days apart, some days mine looked the same or ever so slightly lighter. But comparing to two days ago is usually much more reassuring: what’s the 5-7 day like?

has anyone had sharp pain in the lower abdomen which lasts about 15 minutes at a time?

try and stay positive- it could be a number of other reasons xx

@Xwx1010 yeh I'm hoping I'm over thinking. My first pregnancy (successful) I didn't test like this as I was so blissfully naive. Luckily that pregnancy was smooth. But since my miscarriage I actually think I'm going to be a nervous wreck until I give birth if I'm honest 😔

@LincolnshireHollyhock how far along are you? That doesn't ring a bell as happening on my first pregnancy but it could be anything. When you say pain.... what out of 10

I’d say a 6/10 - it’s not something I’ve had in the last 6 weeks x

I've had sporadic on/off sharp pains, around 8/9 week mark x

Doctor Google suggests it’s possibly the increase in size of the uterus which could give those pains.

Yea I came to the same conclusion! I also have fibroids so also thought it could be them!

@LincolnshireHollyhock id say ive had sharp twinges for sure. Could it be bowel related with constipation? Hopefully it’s just stretching. I definitely hove discomfort, bloating, mild cramping, twinges etc xx

@LincolnshireHollyhock I’ve also had sharp pains, twinges, sometimes just feels like actual period cramps too. I think it’s the uterus stretching and everything else starting to move around to make space. Also could be trapped wind etc

@FlowersRainbowreally good news from your scan. Glad that all is looking ok!

@spttcits so easy to drive yourself mad with testing, but it’s probably best to try and wait until the morning to test again (Full disclaimer: I did not follow my own advice!) hoping you get a stronger line tomorrow.

@LincolnshireHollyhockhave you had a scan yet? Hopefully it will resolve but if it gets worse or becomes constant I’d maybe give EPU a call.

Ive had some stabbing pains but only lasting a couple of seconds.

I know right, so much waiting! Everytime you reach a checkpoint there is something new to wait for and I am not a very patient person 😂

How is everyone doing this weekend? It’s been a bit up and down for me. Had quite a large gush of blood yesterday so was sent to EPU for a scan this morning. Was sure it was it but the bleeding stopped quickly and baby was measuring correctly and had a heartbeat so everything looks ok for now.

What a rollercoaster though! Could have done without it!

@PrincessofLiechtenstein oh no I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a scare must have been very stressful. Glad you got the reassurance, did they see anything on the scan?
I’ve been brown spotting again - actually loosing the will to live with the stress of this. Next scan Wednesday I don’t feel hopeful but then I never do.

today I’ve been bad sickness, started retching which is new and very unwelcome

Sorry everyone is having a bad weekend. I’ve had bad cramping today so it must be bad all round! I’m still absolutely terrified for my 7 week scan tbh

I’ll be just over 7 weeks when I have the scan. Today I’ve had very bad mood wings - my partner has had to deal with my anger and crying 🙃
