Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

I know exactly how you feel and it’s a mind trip. Try going for a walk, jigsaw, playing games - anything to distract yourself!

It will come around soon enough - plus you could test 10dpet?

Congratulations @Timetotryagain - how’s your recovery going? I hope you have your feet up relaxing and you aren’t too uncomfortable. Fingers crossed for good news tomorrow and you get a good fertilisation number.

they collected 15 eggs out of 22 follicles from me. I’m on OHSS watch so just chugging the squash and electrolytes and will start on blood thinners tomorrow. I’m feeling relived now it’s over- we’ve never been given a reason as to why we haven’t got pregnant in 3.5 years - but at least I know I have eggs in my follicles now.

Hey guys. Sorry I have been so quiet on here I’ve really struggled with my 2ww and will read though all the comments I’ve missed. I’m 10dpt today and the fear and anxiety has been so hard. Took a test this morning and got my first ever positive in my whole life. I’ve non stop cried in shock for the last half hour. My husband isn’t home from work for hours but needed to tell someone!

Have you had many symptoms?

Did you remove the strip from the test to get that hcg level?

Thank you! No I have a pack of hcg tests that came with the ovulation tests I brought a few months ago. I’ve had a lot of cramping on and off and lots of odd twinges and dull aches but apart from that none. The only thing is that I have been emotionally very up and down been absolutely convinced it hasn’t worked and depressed some days but not sure if that is hormone related or just the anxiety of the waiting!

@charja100 literally no symptoms at all. I'm 4dp5dt, tested this morning and BFN.

Had a massive cry, even though it's still early. Bought myself some flowers to cheer myself up.i have an Amazon delivery coming later today with more tests... I'm a wreck at the moment. Going utterly out of my mind with craziness.

@LincolnshireHollyhock I'm testing nearly every time I go to the loo 😂🫣 The amount of money I have spent on tests so far is actually embarrassing.

@Charmofgoldfinch 15 eggs is great! I got 15 eggs in my second round of IVF 8 years ago and the second transfer from that round resulted in my DD :)

@Banksl92 that's bloody amazing news! I am so happy for you! Can you tell me more about how you struggled with your 2WW? Because I'm only 4dp5dt and I'm going out of my mind like INSANE. I'm crying all the time, testing all the time (all negative).

This morning I woke up before everyone else in the house and was going out of my mind, I ordered a pregnancy test on a delivery app to come to my house at 7am.... like that's how batshit I am at the moment. I am really NOT coping.

@Banksl92 - Congratulations 💐 that is such great news!! What time is your husband home? That will be such nice news to share with him.

@expat321 - the 2WW is tough- don’t feel embarrassed about buying the tests - it’s normal to just want to know. Maybe just accept that you will keep testing and buy in bulk 😉 or do the cheapie strips? But limit yourself to one a day? What are you up to today?

I tested 5dpt and it was totally negative. Spent 2 days in bed crying my eyes out convinced it hadn’t worked so please do not be disheartened with a negative at this stage. I have spent the last week feeling so depressed and constantly crying dreading taking a test and this morning had to force myself to take one as I was honestly loosing my mind and was so shocked it was positive! I kept reading so many things about expected symptoms like headaches, sore boobs and frequent urination etc and I had none of those so convinced I wasnt pregnant. All I’ve had is mild cramping on and off. Some days nothing. I know it’s impossible not to worry but a negative this early on definitely doesn’t mean your not pregnant!

Just got the call, out of the 11, 9 were mature and 7 have fertilised :) (2 others out of the 9 also fertilised by abnormally apparently)

I think as mentioned above try testing once a day otherwise you’ll go crazy!!

Have you got any little hobbies you could do? Gardening? Jigsaws? Start a pregnancy test business? ;-)

Awww good news @Timetotryagain !! you can relax for today now you’ve had your call. How are you feeling today and how are you recovering? Hope you’re not too sore. Will you get another update before transfer?

out of my 15 - 13 have fertilised and look normal. So good news but still so nervous. We don’t get another update until transfer day on Saturday now (OHSS dependent). I’m pleased that we have more info about our fertility - we’ve found no reason as to why we’ve not been successful so far - so gaining any information is so much further than we’ve ever been.

I got impatient and called the clinic as they usually call us by 8:30 with an update, they said they aren’t ready to call us yet, and we are on a list to be called later. I’m really hoping no news is good news and if we had no embryos to freeze they would have just called us already.

@Charmofgoldfinch amazing number of fertilised eggs!!! We get a day 3 update on the portal apparently and then a final day 5/6 update. We arent doing a fresh transfer as doing pgt

@Timetotryagainthats amazing news. Were you taking any supplements this round. What were you doing which helped having 7 fertilised?

@LincolnshireHollyhock start a pregnancy test business 😂😂 I should buy shares in pharmacies given I've spent £££ on tests over the years.

I actually said to my DH I want to invest in IVF clinics because it's a growing business and during my FET I was chatting with the doctor about what gaps in the market are needed in IVF clinics😅 (he said AI tech)

My main passion/hobby is yoga and Pilates but I haven't been doing that in 2WW.

@Banksl92 this is literally me. Depressed and crying and convinced it hasn't worked. I've barely got out of bed today and just been eating biscuits in bed. DC on school holidays so I eventually dragged myself out and have taken them to the museum. Just got a notification from Amazon that my 3 tests have arrived lol so that's what I've got to look forward to when I get home!

All ours fertilized - 100% 5/5 and then all 5 were normal after pgt testing. I think it's to do with sperm quality firstly. But also - melatonin. Apparently melatonin significantly impacts not only fertilization rate but quality and live birth rates. I religiously take melatonin every night, have been for months. Just thought I'd say in case it helps anyone

Had a day 5 update at lunch time, we have one very early blast and one that’s at compaction stage, they going to leave them another day and see if any are freezable. The egg retrieval was at 11am, not sure when they were fertilised as they hadn’t prepped the sperm yet when they spoke to us at 12, so I’m hoping they are bit behind due to that and not because they’re bad quality.

I’m not feeling too confident though tbh, already planning to do another cycle asap, not mild again though as not happy with the amount of eggs given the money we have spent and my wife’s AMH and AFC.

Got back home to find my amazon package of tests. Did one, and it's a squinter at 4dp5dt but it's there!

I can breathe a sigh of relief now. I was actually going crazy!
