Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

Thinking of you @OneQuirkyPanda it's hard not to feel disappointed.

Congrats all that have a positive. I think I’m out again. Third failure. 7dp5dt and just taken a premom test. Completely negative.

I don’t actually feel anything right now whereas last time I was very emotional. Oh well!

Interesting about the melatonin @spttcwas that recommended by your doctor and did you both take it?

Where do you go from here? Any Frosties? I knew if this didn't work for me I was done. I already have DC and whilst I wanted more, I couldn't put my body and mind and relationship through another round. If this one doesn't stick for whatever reason, I am done with IVF.

We’re entitled to another free cycle on the nhs. This time we got 4 embryos so if it has failed then at least we have that to turn to. I’m in the mindset to keep pushing forward. If it means in 12 months time that I need to go private, I will ask my Mum if she can help us out financially.

@Banksl92huge congrats! That’s amazing! I’m sorry to hear you’ve been struggling. Have you had many symptoms at all? I’ve had cramps since 2dp5dt I’m 4dp5dt now and still have cramps heavy feeling the AF is coming but this evening have a banging headache too. I’m def not dehydrated so not sure what’s caused that.

@expat321i also tested this am on easy at home cheapie and BFN. If it makes you feel any better i have also ordered more to have on standby (there are still 10 in the box 🙈) I’m going to try to limit to testing once a day. I’m finding the TWW really hard this time. Just trying to get through each day! It’s okay to have a cry and let go of any reason and let out your emotions. Maybe I need to buy myself flowers too ☺️

In my last cycle (3 months before 40th bday) I added in melatonin. We got 12 eggs and 11 fertilised and 7 blasts. Which was such a good round compared to our two previous EC cycles. We did a fresh which was bfn and sent 6 for testing. 3 confirmed euploids. First euploid resulted in miscarriage at 6 weeks over Christmas / new year. Now trying number 2.

@lovelivelaugh64 I was actually just taking ones from the USA my relatives brought me. I'm in Ireland and I think you need a prescription for melatonin but they literally buy them in the supermarket there. High dose - 12mg. I was taking them since December religiously. Egg retrieval was Feb 5th. But I've seen in studies that you don't need to be taking them long. Studies tend to have doses of 3mg so that's what you need. And I think I saw something about not taking a higher dose not being ideal - but it worked for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ There's a YouTube channel dr Natalie Crawford. She talks about it in her videos and she says 3mg. I got them without intending them for being for ivf I just googled it to make sure it was ok to take and saw it was actually a good thing so kept going. I'm almost 39 btw so not even young! 😅

@expat321 exciting hopefully you can relax a bit now!! Shouldn’t take long for the lines to get darker mine was way better even the next day but it doubles every 48-72 hours so within a few days hopefully you’ll have a nice strong line 🤞🏻

We got our scan 17/4 so not long to wait now. Definitely feeling all the symptoms now tbh! 5wks tomorrow. Love seeing all the other bfp popping up now 👏🏻 got my fingers crossed for everyone who’s still waiting 🤞🏻

It's been a while since I've been on the forum. So pleased for all of you that have got your positives! Good luck to everyone that is still in the middle of the process.

We only had 1 embryo from our recent round and it was mosaic so we had to speak to a genetic counselor from the clinic about possible outcomes if we chose to do a transfer. The 2 cycle programme we have from Access Fertility says you have to transfer all embryos created in the first cycle before starting the next so we had to decide if we wanted to transfer or destroy the mosaic embryo. However after speaking to them they agreed to let us freeze the mosaic embryo and start the next round (since the viability is in question).

We are now waiting for a sperm dna fragmentation test and I will be adjusting my supplements for a couple of months. So we won't be starting our next round for a little while yet.

Today is my otc date after what feels a like forever wait. Test is again showing positive, so will be phoning the clinic at 9..it doesn’t feel real…

Just had an update from the clinic we have one embryo they have frozen, it is 4CC, so not the best quality, but one is better than nothing! The other embryo has turned into an early blast, I wanted to leave it longer, but was told it was unlikely to be suitable for freezing today and they don’t do day 7.

I know our chances aren't great with just one 4CC, but I’m so glad we have something and I will try to remain hopeful.

@OneQuirkyPanda 4CC is ok. My DD was a 4BB and I have a friend many years ago who had 3x 2-grade Day 3 embryos put in (because they had nothing else and this was their eight round or something crazy like that) and one stuck and became her DS!

@OneQuirkyPanda I only had one untested embryo in my entire round and I’m now 5 weeks pregnant today, honestly it only takes one!

@captainsmal @expat321 thank you both! I’m going to go into it being positive, as I know the more negative I am the more stressed I get and stress isn’t good. Have a call with nurse in ten minutes to go over the plan for FET, very exciting!

Hi all. I hope you don’t mind me joking the post. We’re on our 3rd and final round of IVF (can’t afford any more) and just been to our first scan

our first round was 4 follicules 3 eggs 1 fertilised a day 2 transfer resulting in a positive but loss at 5 weeks

our second round was 3 follicles, 2 eggs, 1 fertilised a say 2 transfer resulting in a negative.

our scan today shown just two follicules. We got back Saturday for our second scan but it’s so hard to remain positive when you see such low numbers.

Anyone that has had a frozen embryo transfer might be able to answer this. My transfer is scheduled for Friday. They booked me for a blood test on Thursday morning. What are they checking exactly? Just curious. So nervous now 🙈

@spttctheyre checking your progesterone to make sure it’s a good level ahead of the transfer! They’ll up your dose if they’re not happy with the result.

I’m really struggling today everyone. I’m normally a positive person but finding it hard to find hope today. It’s 5dp5dt and my anxiety is through the roof. I’ve had a BFP by now on previous cycles and I’m still BFN today. It’s gotten to me all day and impacted me at work. I have this constant pain in my left and my hip hurts and it’s making it hard to trip to distract myself! 😩 This journey is just the worst!
