Hiya. I’m due to start IVF in March and just wanted to find some people who were going through the same so we can support/ advise eachother! I’m 32 and have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years now and just wanted to meet some people in the same boat!

@Timetotryagain no I'm on a natural cycle. So I start progesterone after transfer. I'm doing the injections, I requested them as the suppositories seem like a bit of a nightmare 🙈

@Charmofgoldfinch definitely better to freeze all and transfer when ready if you aren't your best with the OHSS

@Sal2910 sorry about your negative 😔 it's great that they can do a transfer in May hopefully though. I have this fear if mine doesn't work that they have to skip a cycle? Anyone know.

I got my message from the clinic they're happy to go ahead with the transfer tomorrow HOWEVER progesterone level must have been a bit on the low side as they've changed my progesterone from day of transfer onward from 1 injection a day to 2 a day. Slightly concerning but glad they've made that change as tbh I think progesterone levels was the reason for my miscarriage. I hate thinking about it that it was likely a healthy baby but progesterone levels let it down. My emotions are EVERYWHERE today 🙈

@spttc is this your second transfer?
I was told that the period that comes now right after the transfer failed is not really considered a period but from the next cycle we can do the frozen transfer. I only stopped the progesterone this morning and I’ve got my period already and because I’ve got short cycle I know it will come around quickly but I will see what the doctor has to say next week but nurse seem to think we can do the frozen cycle next period.

I’ve just had a call with my clinic - my OHSS symptoms aren’t severe enough to delay treatment so basically it’s we go ahead tomorrow or I lose my NHS funding (and in my area we only get 1 go). So I’m going ahead tomorrow for transfer - just need to do everything I can do today to feel better. Im a bit disappointed that I haven’t fully recovered - I’m really worried this might impact the outcome.

Yes I asked them when it would be and they said they would tell me on Monday at my scan, but they usually do it after around two weeks on Estradiol.

Transfer done!!! They said on caremaps they rate 1-10 and mine was a 9 ❤️ they said if u google perfect embryo your embryo should show up 😆 so I'm hopeful 🙏 official test date 17th April

Did anyone elsw get really grumpy after the egg collection? I am wondering whether its like a big hormonal dip after all that medication stopping etc!

Hi All, it’s nice to hear positive stories from you all. Hoping you all get your bfp this ivf cycle. I am currently on day 5 of stims. I am finding stims quite challenging now. Tomorrow I am adding in another injection so two injections a day. Got my day 9 scan on Tuesday. And then they will tell us when is egg collection & egg transfer.

I am extremely nervous for egg collection, what if we don’t have many eggs collected. We have been told we will be lucky to collect even 2/3 eggs which is extremely disappointing. But im hoping the nurses are proved wrong and we do end up collecting more than that. I guess we won’t know till EC.

I do have low amh however I am 25. How many eggs did you all collect and what was your amh?

@Timetotryagain - yep I’ve been a bit of a pain after EC 😂 I hadn’t clocked it with the hormone dip but it probably is linked. Just really irritable and then crying 🙈 all these side effects are blumming awful - I’m sweating so much on a night from the progesterone - hormones are weird!

my transfer is tomorrow like yours - do you have something relaxing planned for tonight? Im deciding which film to watch then an early night I think.

@lovelivelaugh64 its such a nerve wracking time waiting to swe how many follicles grow etc! My amh is 16.5 and i got 11 eggs. But apparently AFC is more of an indicator (mine was 22)

@Charmofgoldfinch yeah its like hormonal overload haha!! I am having a freeze all cycle so not transferring tomorrow because we are doing pgt as i have a history of miscarriage. Hopefully we get the results back within the month and then hopefully can do a transfer in may/ june 🙏🙏

@Timetotryagain - ah sorry if you mentioned that earlier in the thread. Fingers crossed for some good quality embryos tomorrow for your freeze all and then you can start planning for the next stage 🍀

So had my scan today and I have only 3 follicles which is very disappointing so now me and my partner are stuck on what to do. Whether we cancel the cycle and get a refund losing out on £750 or do we go ahead with egg collection on Monday. We can’t use the programme again we were on if we cancel but to be honest I don’t think I would want to with the low dosage I was on. Why does ivf have to be soo hard!

@Alexm06 - I’m sorry about your scan results. I don’t know what would do but I would probably be asking the clinic if they have any idea why you had a low response, and what you could do differently next time? Are there other options you could go down to stimulate more follicles?

@Charmofgoldfinchyeah she didn’t really say much said my options were to cancel and we can’t do the programme again or go ahead. She doesn’t know why I had a low response as I’ve always been a good responder. I mean it was like 3/4 years ago. But yeah the 3 follicles are good to go and with the programme they can’t increase the meds as I think she would have done that Wednesday when I had my scan.

@Alexm06what dosage are you currently on and which medication.

i would personally continue it. It only takes one egg. And like you said you’d lose out if you leave the programme now.

yeah ive spoken to my mum and she made me feel a lot better. I guess I was also worrying about money (i know that sounds bad) but this was all we could afford and worrying if it doesn’t work it’s over for us. But yeah she’s said I’ve got this far and I would just be wondering what if if I didn’t do it

@Alexm06 yes. Stay positive. It only takes one egg and you’ve got so far and have done brilliantly.
I have read so many positive stories about their only one low grade embryo becoming a rainbow baby. You’ve got this. Sending lots of baby dust your way.

@Alexm06 sorry to hear about your numbers but pleased to
hear you are giving it a go. I really hope there is a good quality egg in there that will be the one.

we ended up going for our second scan today as the clinic got the wrong date and don’t do scans Saturday. We have two follicules at around 18 and one around 7 (so far too small) they have decided to keep us on meds and go back for a 3rd scan in Monday so I’m also now worrying the big ones may over mature. To add to it I havnt got enough meds so got to drive the 2 hour journey tomorrow to pick up some more. They have told us to expect to trigger Monday for collection Wednesday.

seems we will be doing this with the same numbers as each other :)

I'm a bit concerned today, I have had a bit of spotting. It's old blood but concerned where it's coming from. Back on Monday for more scans and bloods but feeling worried yet again that it will be bad news. Logically I know it could be the meds, the natural increase in progesterone, I also probably over did things today and I know it can happen if iv ovulated but I'm on meds to stop that and plus my bloods came back good so no sign of ovulation just yet but I'm still worried.
