BFP after IVF - due October 2025

Hi all I thought I would create a thread for our BFPs after IVF.

A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@cleggrickman my clinic is private and it was £33 for one box of cyclogest 😖 crazy the amount of profit they make! Completely understand what you are saying about the early scan,part of me is tempted to pay £80 for a reassurance scan at a local private scan place next Friday so will be 6+5 but actually what will this achieve?! It’s so hard trying not to overthink.

Been really quiet past 4-5 days dealing with all sorts. I’m finally taking the plunge to this page and I praying I won’t regret it 🤞🏻

Got my BFP last Friday and had nothing but drama since. My HCG came back only at 28 from Friday on Saturday morning. They like it above 50. Clinic said it wasn’t looking good, and I needed to be prepared for a chemical. Major cramps on Saturday had an absolute meltdown. Thought that’s that then and was lots of tears. Then my tests got lighter over the weekend to almost the point of no line on Monday.

Had to go for another HCG test on Monday but then my did test as some symptoms returned was blazing positive. They have now put this down to a dodgy batch of FRER tests or just little embryo taking his sweet time 🤦🏼‍♀️

HCG on Monday came back 84 so triple Friday clinic happy. Also I have had every symptom under the sun since Monday and today finally got a 2-3 on clear blue!! I have some light spotting so little concerned about that but it’s minor. It just looks like we had late implantation and a lazy embryo. Well that’s what I am hoping anyways. We are far from out the woods had another HCG today but I’m confident that would have gone up as well. Scan booked for 26th Feb so it’s just a waiting game now. 🤞🏻

Really great to see so many people on here and hoping everyone is a little more relaxed than I have been 🤣🤗 sorry for my long essay just grateful to have made it to Wednesday 🙏🏻

@Cosyseason1234 Oh man the price of things is insane! im on the one nhs cycle at the mo so fully expecting things to get expensive after this.

Welcome @Purpleflowers17 oh gosh what a rollercoaster of emotions. Fingers crossed for the next hurdle! Sounds like you got a little fighter on your hands!

Ive got a reassurance scan at the epu on Monday and as of yesterday, all my sickness/most other symptoms have gone. Getting stressed again. Actually want the nausea to come back now 😅

Congrats to everyone with BFPs so great to see so many of us die in October!

Oh @Purpleflowers17 that sounds like a lot to go through! Glad it’s worked out and the results have almost tripled which is amazing!!

My viability scan is not until 7 weeks and 6 days so have forever to wait but I guess by then it should be clear and hopefully will hear a nice and strong heartbeat ❤️

should we do a little tracker as to when everyone is due and their viability scan date?

I can go first 😊

Aw @Purpleflowers17 so sorry you have been through so much. I hope you're OK. Definitely sounds like you have a wee fighter on your hands and that they're gonna prove the world wrong 😍. I'm also having a little spotting.

Good idea @FrostedFlake . My DD is: 16th October and viability scan is 27th February at exactly 7 weeks. Very much feeling the nerves too xx

@Purpleflowers17 Mate you’ve absolutely been through it I’m so sorry! Glad to hear you’re getting better news now 💛

I haven’t had hardly any symptoms just my boobs so I think maybe I’ll test again on Friday to make sure I’m still good..

@Purpleflowers17 so sorry you have had such a rough time,fingers crossed for a smooth ride from now on for you ❤️ was it the Amazon easy @ home you used by any chance? I saw something about a dodgy batch and them not being as good as they used to be.

@Eagerlywaiting1990 I also had spotting at the weekend,no one seems concerned which is a good thing! I spoke to my friend who went through ivf and she spotted all through her first trimester,as she was FaceTiming her little boy (now a very healthy 3 year old) was causing chaos in the background 🤣❤️ I did google and I think the hormones in ivf make spotting more likely also.

That's good to know @Cosyseason1234 thank you. I feel like the pessaries cause a bit of irritation too so just trying not to overthink it.
I am wrecked haha! I always find it hard to compare to baseline though...maybe I'm always this wrecked 😂 xx

@Cosyseason1234 I have been sleeping terrible probably the stress and anxiety more than anything. Today I had to have a nap after work!
I’ve also had some spotting here, nothing major but they said it’s really common especially as they think I’ve had late implantation.

Hello! I recognise names from other threads and have been keeping up with all your journeys but am very lazy at messaging! So thrilled for everyone for getting this far even though it’s been a rollercoaster!

My scan will be on the 21st where I will be 7+2. I couldn’t resist and have done a couple of beta tests and it’s come back a bit high but I’m hoping it’s not anything bad!

I’m 6 weeks atm. have been feeling some on and off discomfort on my lower left abdomen which I’m hoping is bowel related /down to feeling bloated from the progesterone. Also have some nausea that comes and goes but again think that might be the progesterone!

anyone else feeling any symptoms?

@Purpleflowers17 that sounds like a right few days but glad things are on the up! Literally. I have my viability scan on the same day!

Morning everyone! How are you all, and hello new joiners! :)

I'm back online after a few days away. Back to work with a bang yesterday, and feel like I need another break..!

I've already my viability scan... and DD is 24th September.. today we have our first midwife appointment which feels like quite a big moment! Though @roowoop we're pretty much the same aren't we, and I feel like all my symptoms have disappeared over the last few days. Do you have a midwife appt too?

I have also had my viability scan, EDD of 30th Sep. (they actually gave me a DD of 14th October which can't be right as I'm 7+2 so have gone with my own DD for now!) Some exciting/nerve wracking few weeks lined up, hope it all goes well for everyones upcoming viability scans!

oooooo exciting day @monicabella1234! Let us know how it goes! Hope you survive being back at work, its so hard to ease back in after a break isnt it! haha
My midwife app is only on the 24th Feb. But have a reassurance scan at the epu first on the 17th Feb.

Ladies, I made it to this group. 😭

Officially got my BFP today. Early scan booked for 6th March. Can't quite believe it.
I know it's still early days but we've got today and tomorrow off, and we're going to go for a lovely lunch and just try to enjoy the moment a bit if we can.

This is my first cycle and my first fresh transfer so I know how lucky we are. I didn't think it would happen to be honest. Still feel like it's a bit of a dream/not real.

Expected due date - 15 October, viability scan - 11th March! Feels like eternity from today, when I am 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant with no symptoms whatsoever, getting a bit worried and starting considering going for a private scan before that 😒

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies! It’s amazing seeing so many BFP outcomes!

Hope everyone is doing ok? I’ve had my bloods back and unfortunately my iron and Vit D is really low despite taking them daily. I’m seeing the GP later today but she said she will be referring me to for shared pregnancy care.

@Sherr33 thinking of you. I really hope your scan today gives you the reassurance you need.

Hi everyone hope you're all doing well.

I went for my scan @Feelingmindful @roowoop I'm having to go back next week again. Although they were able to see a heartbeat today they said the baby was growing slow and the progression they wanted to see wasn't quite there. She gave me information on what to do if I miscarry between now and next week's scan. I'm going to remain hopeful and countdown to next weeks scan. She said that I'm 7weeks1day but baby is measuring 6 weeks. I'll need all your prayers and good thoughts for this little one. Thank you everyone for reaching out and I'm sorry for being active the last week. X 💓

@Sherr33 sorry to hear this. You have got a little fighter on your hands so really hope the little embryo keeps growing 🤞🏻🙏🏻

@roowoop and @Feelingmindful great to hear your scans went well and you are gearing up for the midwife appts! Must feel very surreal!

@Elena3 that does seem quite late. I'd go for a private too if I were you. My symptoms have eased a lot too though so hopefully that's not cause for concern.

@Sherr33 that's a really hard situation to be in. Can't be the first time a wee embryo has caught up though! Got everything crossed for you and you are in my prayers xxx
