@HopefulSibling Oh, fingers crossed you get those antibiotics quickly. I was quite lucky that I got an urgent GP appointment and she gave me a script for a 7 day course of nitrofurantoin. Had to do a sample too, but not heard anything so assuming it’s the right antibiotics.
I was convinced waking up in the night to pee was just ‘frequent urination’ and chalked it up to a pregnancy symptom. My pee when wiping was quite dark, but looked fine in the loo, so chalked that up to a pregnancy quirk. Chalked the backache that ran up my left flank to sitting awkwardly in my computer chair (I do lean funny trying to get comfortable). These symptoms have gone now, so it was all the UTI. Don’t google! I did, told the GP I had googled and read things about kidney infections and sepsis and she was like ‘don’t google. You’ve not got sepsis, that’s why I took your heart rate and blood pressure and did an abdominal exam!’
@Daniki The tiredness is something else isn’t it? Woke up at 6:30 yesterday. Finished work at 3:30PM (office job, and I was WFH). Went to bed at 3:45PM, had a long nap, woke up at 6:30PM. Picked at dinner, then went to bed at 9:30PM. Woke up at about 7:00AM. It’s only half two and I could crawl into bed again.
I was a little worried my symptoms had gone this morning, but the sore boobs and tiredness is back. It took me about 30 mins to eat a small ready-meal Mac and cheese (I have no energy to cook) and I think the nausea will be back full swing come this evening.
I was so frustrated by it yesterday. Last week the husband made spaghetti carbonara and I wolfed it down. He made it again yesterday and I could barely eat it, all I could smell was garlic and bacon and it made me want to puke. I hate that my safe foods last week are turning into ‘nope’ foods. I was crying out of frustration with it yesterday.
