BFP after IVF - due October 2025

Hi all I thought I would create a thread for our BFPs after IVF.

A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@Lauralozzle it is strange with me, because I dont have any constipation whatsoever, but the bloat is insane. Normally walking helps so much, but now it makes me feel that movement makes this bloat even more 'agressive', dont know why it feels like this.

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 6w3days. Hcg was so high at 14dp5dt 7640! So I've been booked for early scan tomorrow. I'm worried as I've had brown spotting, anyone else had this at this stage and it's been ok? I'm really anxious, I've had 3 mmc and 3 chemicals

@bluebella2 totally normal and if you ring EPU they always reassure you that brown spotting is old blood. But glad you have scab tomorrow it will defo reassure you 😁

I'm on 5 prunes a day or every other day to help deal with the progesterone constipation.

I had the massive bloat during 2ww but it's subsided now. Gentle walks did help, and some yoga calm.

It doesn't help that I keep craving 'bad food'. DH let me have a MacDonalds breakfast this morning whilst he had a healthy home made shakshuka 🤣

Think he feels for me as I've really been hit by the nausea and tiredness this weekend. Feel quite useless. Dreading how I might feel with work tomorrow. Have got off quite lightly symptom wise so far.

Hope everyone else is hanging in their ok.

@OneWaryCat what is with McDonald's when pregnant! I crave it so badly when I'm pregnant I also had a cheeky one this morning after doing the shopping 🤣

Reading all this while just finished eating Mc Donalds chicken nuggets... :D

I had a McDonald’s the other day - scoffed the nuggets in about 3 minutes flat!

Anyone else exhausted? At about 3:00PM I just get so tired! Not really had any nausea yet, but I feel like a zombie! Just been for a slow dog walk and now I’m absolutely knackered.

I’ve been trying to start work early because I have a bad case of insomnia at night (partly because I’m waking up to pee every couple of hours) and exhaustion from about 3:00PM so I’m at least a bit productive in the morning if I’m logged on at 7:30AM. By that point, I’ve likely been awake 2.5 hours! I’m napping on the sofa by 5:00PM and in bed by 9:00PM! Feel like a little old lady!

I thought it was just me eating out haha. I've been leaning towards beef burgers and peri chips. Been put off chicken eggs and avocado. So random. I've got quite bad indigestion at the moment, bloated, so so soooo tired - it's not even normal. And I get so hungry super quick. Other than that ive been worrying about every littole twinge and cramp. Most of the time I think it's just gas! 🤦‍♀️ I can't wait for the 12 week scan. Have we any 12 wk scanners yet? X

Hello, may I join? I'm currently 6wks+1. This was my first transfer (FET), so I'm very lucky that it's worked so far. My scan is next Wednesday.

I was very hungry at first, but for the past few days I've lost any interest in food. I'm hoping this isn't the start of nausea further down the line

@bluebella2 hopefully not are you on progesterone pessaries?

@Lauralozzle I am the same exhaustion wise, always so tired! I had a shower there after dinner and lying on the couch in my jamys I can't wait for bed! But we have an early start in the morning my 4 yr old is getting grommets 🫣

@Daniki yes I'm on the pessaries. I think I'm just spiralling a bit after seeing that. At least I'll find out tomorrow

@bluebella2 oh for sure, I competley understand iv had 4 losses myself and any bit of spotting sends me spiralling aswell, so hard to keep calm! X

OMG the bloating!!! I am on vacation at the moment and am mostly wearing leggings and tee-shirts, I swear the old ladies are looking at my belly and then smiling at me, so awkward! I look 4 months pregnant, I need to remember to tuck my belly on the pictures as we are not telling anybody yet.

Annoyingly I have a cold but can’t take anything but paracetamol! I got a little bit panicked with my symptoms that I might have listeriosis so went to see a doctor who said it’s just a viral infection, so we will see. At least the cold has stopped all my cravings because I have lost my taste.

Apart from bloating that starts in the afternoon, all the other symptoms are pretty much gone for me. No nausea since last Monday and feeling really energetic. So far,I I think 5th-6th weeks were the most difficult ones.

How is everyone doing? I'm 8+4 today, a week on since seeing a heartbeat, symptoms seem to be fading a little bit - like @Elena3 said, I think weeks 5-6 were the most intense...

I've got my booking appointment with the midwife tomorrow, and looking forward to getting 12 week scan date so I can work towards that!

@bluebella2 congratulations in the twins. That is so exciting and secretly a dream of mine but with all the indigestion headaches and bloat I'm just content with the one! You'll have to keep us updated on your symptoms. I'm sure there is someone else who is having twins too!

Anyone else reducing meds soon? On Thursday il be going from three cyclogest to two :-/
