BFP after IVF - due October 2025

Hi all I thought I would create a thread for our BFPs after IVF.

A bit about me: 34 years old (35 next month)
2x failed transfers and 1x failed to thaw
BFP with this little blub. Scan date 7th of February (will be 6wks1day)🎊
Here's to continuous panicking 🤪

@Sherr33 Awww I’m so so so happy for you. That is amazing news. It’s lovely of them to give you another scan for extra reassurance. You have a little fighter growing inside of you ❤

I think there are around 10 of us in the WhatsApp group.

I’m good, feel a bit burnt out from work and everything else.

The exhaustion is just different. So hard to explain too. Apart from work and small chores around the house I'm not doing anything extraneous yet I am absolutely shattered by end of day.

@Sherr33 great news about your scan! Let's hope that wee baba keeps going as it is and it catches up in size.

I'm right there with you all in terms of exhaustion. Got horrific nausea and a sore back too. Being pregnant isn't as glamorous as I thought 😅 xx

@Eagerlywaiting1990 im with you on the nausea it’s 247 🤢 came home from work yesterday and think I’m going to go off for a few weeks,I cannot cope with some of the sights and smells there currently 🤢

I felt my first wave of sickness this morning but I am also completely exhausted. Want to just sleep all day. Thank goodness it's the weekend soon - although we seem to have a lot of plans. A friend just cancelled lunch with me on Sunday and I'm secretly thrilled as it would have involved going into central London. 😂

That said - I'm going on a night out on Saturday for a 40th. Will see how long I last!

Might have to slow down a bit over the next few weeks.

So excited for you all that you’re nauseous, and feeling quite jealous! I’ve been nauseous for days and then yesterday my symptoms disappeared overnight which has put me back into panic mode! I don’t feel pregnant at all anymore. Have my scan in a few hours and trying not to overthink but I just get a sense it’ll be bad!

I hope your scan went well. I think symptoms are different for everyone and they do come and go which makes all the more frustrating at times!

@Cosyseason1234 I had to take half a day's annual leave yesterday because of it and nearly had a wee cry to myself in the office when people were opening crisps and spraying deoderant. The smell of everything is setting me off. This baby is going to come out made of toast.
@daisyjones03 don't worry, loads of my other symptoms come and go and I actually wasn't nauseous until lunch time today so it's hopefully gonna fluctuate too.

I hope your scan went well @daisyjones03 my symptoms come and go. My nausea hasn't been to bad today, which is a relief, but then I panic!

Thanks so much for all your messages! Today went well. They don’t measure heartbeat at my clinic but said it was regular and everything else was ok. Such a relief!

Will be thinking of everyone that has scans coming up and will have all my fingers crossed for you!

How’s everyone doing? It’s my scan day tomorrow and torn between looking forward to it but also loving being in this “I’m pregnant” bubble and not wanting that to be popped.

Symptom wise I seem to be pretty similar to most on here - nausea, bloating, headaches, exhaustion, odd twinges - all of which come and go, just to keep us on our toes!

Morning @HopefulSibling , I'm in the same boat as you. Scan tomorrow and equal parts excited and terrified! Will you be 6wks, 4 days as well?
My nausea pretty much stopped last night which freaked me out, it's back to an extent this morning but I've also had diarrhoea (sorry tmi). Wish I had a crystal ball xxx

Best of luck tomorrow @HopefulSibling @Eagerlywaiting1990 i so hope it all goes well. I also had a sudden disappearance of symptoms and a softer stool the day before scan so don’t let it worry you.

i am 7 weeks today and the awful nausea has suddenly stopped?! This IVF malarkey is just constant anxiety 🤣 my scan is Wednesday,completely with @HopefulSibling enjoting being in this pregnant bubble and hoping it doesn’t burst!

2 of my good friends have announced their pregnancies,over the moon for them but I feel like it puts more of a pressure on for everything to be ok xx

@Cosyseason1234 that happened me yesterday and it came back with a vengeance today so please don't panic.

I'm really scared about my bubble being burst too.

Hopefully you'll be able to share in the joy of your friends pregnancies with your own. You're well underway at 7 weeks 😍 xx

Hi @Cosyseason1234 thought I'd drop in and say hello. I struggle to keep up with the messages. I've managed a little better with the what's app group but not by much 🤣 my nausea comes and goes. Easier said than done but enjoy that relief when it comes. When's your scan now?

Thanks @HopefulSibling and @Eagerlywaiting1990 ! My scan was very good - heartbeat detected (I am 6 weeks and 4 days today), and the baby is developing nicely, not even a day behind apparently. Good luck with your upcoming scans :)

@Cosyseason1234 @Eagerlywaiting1990 I am also extremely nauseous and my baby will also be made of a toast. Yesterday I started throwing up since 4 am, had maybe 5 cases of this all together. Today morning I think 2 or 3 times...But it feels like dying, absolutely terrible and cannot do anything. I get better by 2-3pm, but so weakened by everything that after finally being able to eat something and drink (in the morning I cant even hold water in) that I am all cold and shaking and needing to sleep for around 30 minutes...Yesterday i bought this ginger tea from Holland and Barrett, it is called Hot mama morning rescue or something along those lines, it seems to calm down everything a little bit, but very insignificantly. Despite the good news I am feeling a bit devastated thinking this state can last up to 12- even 15 weeks for some.

@cleggrickman hello due date twin! How are you doing? My scan is Wednesday I can’t wait! Have you had yours yet? I will join the WhatsApp group when I’ve seen a heartbeat,the anxiety is real much as I keep telling myself it’s much more likely that everything is ok than it’s not! Xx

so sorry to hear about your sickness,mine was the same with my son,couldn’t keep anything down. I ended up on cyclizine,not sure if medication is a route you want to go down but the sickness was making me so poorly and it did help. The good news is from 12 weeks I had a great pregnancy! Fingers crossed it dies down for you xx

@Cosyseason1234 thank you x Yes, it was very reassuring indeed!
I looked up Cyclizine, and of course if the situation carries on like this I must get it. I just cannot function at all, can't imagine it being like this every day.
I wonder if this is something I would have to ask my GP to prescribe. I so dislike calling/emailing etc, that I d rather just buy online, as I am seeing some options available from Online pharmacies. I ll see how I am tomorrow.

@Elena3 that is fantastic news about your scan! Congratulations! I'm 6 weeks and 4 days for my scan tomorrow too so hopefully I can follow suit.

Your sickness sounds horrendous. I would definitely consider taking something if it doesnt ease up. Mines isn't even bad compared to yours! But yes very low on energy. My husband is trying to get me to drink supplements....silly man. I'll continue with my dry, plain, carby diet thank you very much 😅 xx
