Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

No I don’t think so, the only thing I’ve been told is no strenuous exercise but that’s about it. I don’t think I could exercise even if I wanted to as my ovaries are starting to feel a little tender

I cannot sleep arggg woke up at 4 been laying in the dark downstairs! Think it’s late enough to out the tv on now

Hi @Rebekah77 sorry you still uncomfortable. I still seem to be the same , not sure of my expectations of how quick I'll feel better but it's definitely still uncomfortable which is frustrating as can't get out much

When do you get updates ?

Should just be a call Tuesday to let me know what time to come in etc

Well hopefully that phone stays silent today sending you all the positive thoughts ! The days are so hard in this time period arnt they as said you can't even distract yourself as having to rest each day. I have my day 3 update tomorrow but not feeling too hopeful so been spiralling a little bit

100% I heard someone went back to the work the next day so feel frustrated I'm not getting any better 😅

Hey everyone! I’m glad it’s freezing outside so I can stay home cozy!

Im still a little sore but my main issue is I’m constipated 😩 I did read that can happen after egg collection, so with the progesterone as well I’m struggling 😂

anyone else suffering with this side effect?

I’ve been booked in for transfer on weds, so now just keeping everything crossed that one little embryo makes it to day 5.

Hi everyone, sorry I'm rubbish at keeping up with messages! I just wondered if anyone could help me, I'm going to call my clinic tomorrow and ask too. I'm likely having my egg collection on Monday 20th Jan and I know the goal is to transfer day 5 embryos but my clinic only transfer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays so would this mean they would be transferring a day 4 embryo on the Friday? Is this going to reduce chances of success?

Hi @emeraldhope have you discussed with you clinic that it is a fresh transfer ? Maybe message the clinic and have that query. I would say egg collection dates can vary as it really depends how you are doing on the stims so they may tweak that yet. I havnt heard of a 4 day transfer only 3 or 5 so I'm sure they have a plan as they do this all the time!

@jenk91 ahh in the opposite of constipated but still struggling with it. Drinking all the electrolytes to see if that will help. How many did you have fertilised was it the one ? Will you get a call tomorrow for update or will you just wait for Wednesday . Fingers crossed for your transfer and results on Wednesday!

@Anniekent1 oh no, I’m sorry! Hope it sorts itself out soon! They told me 6 fertilised, which is of course great, but Im just trying to keep my expectations not too high, we just need one don’t we! They will call me tomorrow so I guess I will hear if any have dropped off. Will you hear an update tomorrow?

Oh wow that's an amazing number and such good chances even if you have a few drop off. So pleased for you. So hard with trying to have some hope but also being realistic.

Yeah I'll get an update tomorrow and then again Wednesday obviously. We are freeze all though if we do get anything so won't be doing a transfer

@jenk91 I was a bit but I had lots of prunes , water and flaxseed sorted it out and feel a bit better !

Antibiotics and cylogest don’t help matters ! I’m drinking lots of kefir

I am also struggling with the opposite of constipation but I haven't started on progesterone yet. Not sure if it's a coincidence but I'm on day 5 of injections and can't seem to get off the toilet 🙈

From what I’ve been told I don’t think it makes much of a difference what day the transfer takes place other than seeing how the embryo develops from day 3 to 5. So if you have a good few it’s worth waiting until day 5 to see which one might be the best to transfer. However I’ve been told by my clinic that it does not make a difference if you transfer on day 3 or day 5 in terms of outcome. The only thing is that if the one they chose to transfer early doesn’t divide the way it should have from day 3-5 it might not be successful and if they wait until day 5 they would have a better idea of success rates.

Waiting is so hard isn’t it! This whole process is a bit of a mind f**k 🥹

Oh that’s good!! My clinic does day 1,3 and 5 updates but I guess every clinic is different.

the pain is just doing my head in !! Sure it’s not as bad as my usual pain but it’s still bothering me getting around . Plus normally I would have pain relief that isn’t allowed

nah I won’t be working for a few days just hoping it improves asap

@Rebekah77 they haven’t even told you how many fertilised/made it to day 3? 😳 I’m too impatient, don’t think I’d be able to sleep not knowing. Not that knowing makes any difference.
When can you take your usual pain relief again? I wonder if now that you are not on stims can you take something stronger?

Oh that’s great news @Rebekah77 tge little guys are no doubt busy dividing and growing ❤️❤️ I wonder why one is not allowed stronger pain killers, must somehow interfere with the treatment. There’s so much to learn about this process. I’m hoping the pain subsides quickly for you 🙌🏻
id say the sleep could be a combination of both of those and probably thinking about next week too. I’m not at that stage but my brain is in overdrive thinking about it.

@OneWaryCat the last time I didn’t take time off work other than the day of but I think everyone’s recovery is different. I was also able to work from home which made it a lot easier.

I’m shuffling around now , whilst I can work from home I’m in a lot of pain sitting and my endo is not happy !

Hi everyone, hope you all had a relaxing weekend (as much as we can relax at this stage!). I've been trying to stay off my phone and stay distracted. I'm feeling like a pin cushion at this point and been finding the ganirelix injection so painful! Also feeling very emotional and quite scared for my first scan tomorrow, I have a really bad feeling they're going to do the scan and say there's nothing there

I found it took 2 days after my first egg collection for the swelling to go down, so worked from home those 2 days. The 2nd round we stopped short so I wasn't so swollen, so felt much better. This time we are going the full 10 days so I'm already in pain.
Scan tomorrow!
