Hi all ☺️

I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Please join this thread if you are on a similar timescale πŸ’«

2 embryos safely on board. We did lose one in the process so we have 2 left in the freezer. Now to be zen and pray to every god that they nuzzle down!

Yay🎊 good luck to everyone in the TWW.

@cleggrickman I know how that feels when you go in and they tell you you lost one to thaw process. I had the same thing my previous FET.

Cosyseason1234 · 24/01/2025 15:07

Thank you @SlinkMcSlink hope you are feeling ok?

@cleggrickman so sorry to hear that one embryo was lost 😞 fingers crossed that your 2 are snuggling down! I am having beetroot and pineapple as a side dish to my dinner for the next few weeks 🀣

@Orangewillow great to hear you are getting started! Is progynova progesterone? It’s been the worst for me symptom wise of all the meds so far.

SlinkMcSlink · 24/01/2025 15:55

@cleggrickman Aww I missed that! I know how you’re feeling. It’s so distressing losing one!

@Cosyseason1234 I’ve been busy in work but now it’s the weekend I know that it’s all I’ll think about. Must refrain from testing.

Is everyone waiting until their otd? How many days post transfer would be reasonable? I can’t remember testing too early last time. Don’t want to upset myself.

cleggrickman · 24/01/2025 16:28

@Cosyseason1234 we came out and had a large portion of McDonalds fries. No harm in trying all these things. Is pineapple and beetroot another one similar?

@SlinkMcSlink it did knock me back, however I'm thankful I was still able to transfer x

Hopefullyonedaysoon · 24/01/2025 17:42

@cleggrickman gosh waiting to hear regarding thaw was awful, we only had the one embryo, the anxiety sitting in the room waiting was excruciating. So glad you had more and they thawed successfully 😊

Cosyseason1234 · 24/01/2025 18:03

@SlinkMcSlink i think if I’m being honest with myself,I’ll test at 7dp5dt. What about you?

OP posts:
SlinkMcSlink · 24/01/2025 18:32

@Cosyseason1234 I’d say I’d do it 7-8 days past but I think I want it to be the weekend so I can process any feelings at home for the day.

Unless I have a moment of weakness.

Cosyseason1234 · 24/01/2025 18:37

@SlinkMcSlink i don’t blame you at all! I am feeling the same,I work long days Mon to Thurs so I’d hate to get a negative test and then go into work (and probably sob in front of people)

@Rebekah77 hope you are feeling better today

@Cosyseason1234 congratulations on your transfer, how are you feeling now? I know you mentioned the experience was pleasant, so at least it is not painful at all? :)

I saw you were asking about progesterone/nausea, I am currently on oestradiol + progesterone pessaries since Wednesday and I am feeling great, no side effects whatsoever surprisingly. Not even bloated. Easier than when I started contraception pill years ago.

My transfer is on Monday, so hopefully will join you soon in 2 weeks wait.

I probably would stick to shower rather than bath and knowing myself I will most likely test super early.

Ladies, what is everyone doing during two week wait, do you workout/exercise as normally or keeping things easy? I will try to have long walks, but will not ride horses (which I normally do weekly). It is very tempting to carry on riding during pregnancy, I am thinking of light flatwork on a slow and steady cob, but I am so much on the fence regarding this , thinking 'what if'....

Hopefullyonedaysoon · 24/01/2025 20:54

@Elena3 my clinic said light exercise only, so walking should be fine, I personally wouldn't go riding just in case but you know better than me how "vigorous" it is.
I was also told no swimming

Purpleflowers17 · 24/01/2025 21:06

Evening all,
hope everyone is doing well and good to see everyone’s transfers went well. Hoping can join?
I had a failed fresh transfer in Oct starting bleeding 5dp5dt annoyingly and then had the most horrendous AF.

Now ready to go again just about to have FET on Tuesday. can I ask what progesterone everyone is on? I’m convinced I have low progesterone as suffering spotting pre AF each month and we have unexplained fertility (I think related to low progesterone). I am on 3 x Pessaries and 1 x lubion every 3 days.

it looks like I should really be on Lubion daily. Clinic for some reason won’t prescribe for daily even though I’m the one paying. Madness now anxious it’s going to impact this transfer.

Cosyseason1234 · 24/01/2025 21:23

Hi @Elena3 I am feeling absolutely fine, haven’t really rested today just gone on as normal. Hopefully your transfer is as painless before/after as mine. It honestly felt the same as a smear,it was lovely that we could see the embryo be implanted and then got a scan pic and a close up of the embryo ❀️ good luck for Monday ❀️

that’s great to hear about the meds! I’ve not had any headaches which is a positive πŸ˜‚

in terms of exercise,I always do 10k a day so will continue with that but not do anything vigorous. I think ask your clinic about horse riding? I’m sure your body is used to it so it may safe as it’s not a new thing?

@Purpleflowers17 sorry to hear about your failed transfer. I am on 3 pessaries a day,my clinic did a blood test yesterday before transfer today,do yours do this? They said if levels weren’t high enough they would start lubion.

I'm on 3x pessaries and 1x lubion daily. They've done this for me as my first fresh cycle I started bleeding early on after transfer. Does your clinic test your progesterone? Mine doesn't but honestly I would find a private clinic and test before transfer. X

Purpleflowers17 · 24/01/2025 21:51

@Sherr33 they said they will test on day of transfer for me results will be back next day. What I can’t understand though is if I’m requesting it and clearly they think I need it (as I’m on it every 3 days) then not sure what the barrier is to being on it daily?

Purpleflowers17 · 24/01/2025 21:52

@Cosyseason1234 was your progesterone levels all good?
yeah they have said they will test on Tuesdays before the transfer but worried will be too late by that point.

I don't understand how clinic work tbh. They should have just given you the lubion daily and done the test before transfer at least that way you have more reassurance that it won't be low.

Elena3 · 24/01/2025 22:14

I am on 2 pessaries of progesterone daily, @Purpleflowers17 , but all my hormones according to various tests are perfectly fine and in balance.

@Cosyseason1234 It is so lovely to see the image of the embryo :) Thank you x Well done for doing 10k steps daily, I am struggling to incorporate even 6k in my routine.

@Hopefullyonedaysoon yeah, I will definitely not ride within next two weeks as even if I don't do jumping, riding is very bouncy/bumpy activity, better to avoid it. I get mixed opinions, most of the nurses/doctors say something along the lines 'you can ride but you cannot fall' :D , only one said 'no' categorically.
It is just something that is very difficult mentally to give up for such long time, it is something I look forward every week and it makes me so happy. After it all settles, hopefully, I will be able to carry on, but will keep things easy and quiet.

Purpleflowers17 · 24/01/2025 22:34

@Sherr33 me neither I feel like mine might be making it up at this point. Least I’m having the test Tuesday before transfer so suppose I will know then.

@Elena3 is yours a fresh or frozen transfer? Sorry new around here so haven’t seen where everyone is up too. That’s good to hear your clinic have tested and all is normal and good.

Elena3 · 24/01/2025 22:43

@Purpleflowers17 Mine is frozen transfer, 1st time, (unexplained infertility) x

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 25/01/2025 06:19

@Purpleflowers17 you're my transfer buddy! I'm in on Tuesday too. My clinic have no plans to test my progesterone though and I'm only on two pessaries per day....hoping it won't be an issue

Purpleflowers17 · 25/01/2025 07:48

@Eagerlywaiting1990 fingers crossed it’s a lucky day 🀞🏻 yeah that’s probably right for you. I just know i have these progesterone drop offs that’s why i am concerned. Trying to keep positive.
do you think you’ll test early? My clinic OTD is 13dp5dt

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 25/01/2025 08:00

@Purpleflowers17 here's hoping for us both! Yeah I got my period 12 days post transfer last time but they weren't worried as they said that will happen when it's a clear negative and is no indication of low progesterone. Hard to trust them sometimes when so much is at stake!

I'm really torn, I want to test early cause I don't want my period to come and catch me off guard when I'm at work or something. We also have tickets to the 6 nations on the 9th February and I think I'd want to know either way at that point. Our OTD isn't until 14dp5dt though. I tested on day 12 last time. What do you think you'll do?

Eagerlywaiting1990 · 25/01/2025 08:01

I should also add that my husband is seriously superstitious and thinks if we tested early last time and it didn't work then we should wait until test day this time
