Hi just wanted to ask if anyone is in similar position and tested positive recently.
I'm 5 weeks tomorrow via our 3rd IVF icsi cycle and can't believe it's happening..
I'm pinching myself every day since BFP!
We did try 7 years and i never thought i ever be able to say "I'm pregnant "

My symptoms now are feeling a bit sick and just trying to take things easy.
This wait for first scan seems like it's ages away!

Got everything crossed for you both @nizo1245 and @Jupiteer - I know a number fo friends who came back high risk and went on to be fine. Totally understand it's anxiety inducing!

I have my 2nd go at the scan on Thursday so feeling pretty nervous but trying to let myself enjoy it asd much as I can as well. We're 12 weeks today so happy with that milestone.

I've been looking back at old pics we took on the day of our positive test which has helped me remember how I felt on that day and trying to focus on that too!

xx

nizo1245 · 13/06/2023 14:21

@Vil thank you! I've been reading lots of positive stories about high risk screening results and perfectly healthy babies so just trying to stay positive. I really envy people that can just do the deed, get pregnant and have a normal stress free pregnancy 🥲

Good luck for your scan on Thursday! Hopefully they manage to get everything they need from it. At least you get so see your baby again, I feel like I want constant scans to keep checking everything is still there.
We're probably going to try and book a private scan for about 18 weeks but all the packages are more focused on a quick health check rather than anything in depth so I'm not sure how useful it'll be.

My sickness seems to have subsided now so super excited about that. Can finally start eating real food again!

AlisonDanuta · 15/06/2023 09:47

Hi girls, I've had a bit of a scare on Monday night as I fell over and landed on my belly on the arm of the sofa!! My luck... not on my boobs or anywhere else! Directly on my stomach and was pretty scary! I was panicking.
In the morning midwife has taken my blood as still no results since last time! And checked heart beat - thankfully was there..
Day after received a call that I need an injection.. what's the chances that my blood is RH negative...

Please be careful as it's scary!

Vil · 15/06/2023 10:03

Awww @AlisonDanuta sorry to hear that and so pleased everything is ok.

Ive been suffering with some pretty bad cramping the past 2 days to the point that I went to the esrly
pregnancy unit in a panic! They said it’s normal and likely my uterus stretching as I move into the 2nd trimester. There’s no bleeding but it’s pretty painful. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m quite petite so I’m not sure if that’s a factor!

xx

Jupiteer · 15/06/2023 12:30

@vil good luck with your scan

@AlisonDanuta glad you are ok after your fall 💕

@nizo1245 have you heard anything about your results? I would have thought they would have called by now if high risk, I got the call the next working day. So hope that means all low risk for you.

I am struggling with so much anxiety over these results, it's only been 4 days and they said it should take 10. I don't even have much hope of getting a result after the inconclusive last time. Seeing as tested high risk for all 3 syndromes I have a terrible feeling something is wrong and can't sleep for worry. The thought of going through such a long period of infertility and ivf and then to lose the baby in the second trimester is unthinkable 😢

nizo1245 · 15/06/2023 13:25

@AlisonDanuta that's scary, glad everything is OK!

@Vil what time is your scan today?

@Jupiteer nothing yet. I'm a little bit rural so they send the bloods to another hospital for analysis which delays things a little. I've kind of got it in my head that if I don't get a call by tomorrow then it must not be that bad. Doesn't stop me checking the badger notes app about 10 times a day to see if there are any results on there though. I've landed in a google black hole so many times since Monday.
Sorry you're feeling so anxious, I totally get it. I go through phases of not thinking about it and then out of nowhere it's taking over all my thoughts.
I had been planning to get DH something cute/baby related for Father's Day but with all the uncertainty I definitely don't want to go there.

browneyedgirl626 · 16/06/2023 07:18

Sorry to hear of all the uncertainty @Jupiteer and @nizo1245 its shit when these tests are meant to offer reassurance but throw up more anxiety. Similarly I've read so many stories about high risk results and then perfectly healthy babies being born.

Oh god @AlisonDanuta that's my biggest fear! I'm glad you're ok. I'm so clumsy so I have to be consciously thinking about not bashing into things.

I've been cramping too @Vil , it feels a bit like period pains and it's mostly in the morning that I notice them. I'm also on the petite side, so I suppose I do have to stretch a bit!

When do you all have your next scans booked in? I've got one at 16 weeks. I still find the in between scans time hard, it doesn't seem to matter how many I get!

Vil · 16/06/2023 07:21

Hi Ladies just to say our scan went perfectly, very emotional. They gave us our blood tests and report there and then and feeling v lucky to say there were no concerns. Baby was extremely active but we got some fabulous shots. Husband went nuts and told everyone haha.

Wishing you ladies some positive news over the next few days for this waiting for it.

xxxxxx

nizo1245 · 16/06/2023 08:23

@Vil that's amazing, congratulations! Awesome that they were able to give blood results there and then as well. That removes all the stress of waiting!

My results popped up on the app this morning and thankfully we're low risk for all 3 trisomies. Feel like I can relax a bit now and connect with the pregnancy. I think I'd subconsciously detached a bit since the scan in case there was anything majorly wrong.

Vil · 16/06/2023 08:25

That’s fantastic news @nizo1245 so pleased for you !!!

browneyedgirl626 · 16/06/2023 08:55

Great news @nizo1245 and @Vil !

AlisonDanuta · 17/06/2023 22:35

Great to hear about your scan @Vil ! Sounds amazing and you can embrace it 💕

@nizo1245 glad you can relax! Nothing better than positive news after all the struggle!!!

@browneyedgirl626 we have also booked scan after our holidays - we will be nearly 17 weeks...can't wait till our 20th scan so went to book privately. We're hoping to get confirmation of the gender with those 2 scans.

@Jupiteer I really really hope you'll get positive news! Hard time to be left waiting! Fingers crossed and please keep up informed 🙏 ❤️

Jupiteer · 20/06/2023 18:22

Hi all
Finally I can come with some good news! After a LONG wait our NIPT results came back today with a low risk of less than 1% for all 3 syndromes. We also found out the baby is a boy 💙
It's such a relief as I haven't slept properly for weeks and have been having heart palpitations due to anxiety.
I know it is only a screening test and not 100% accurate but the results are definitely reassuring. Will speak to the hospital tomorrow and see if they still recommend amnio. Hoping I can get an extra scan for reassurance but will wait and see x

nizo1245 · 20/06/2023 18:52

@Jupiteer congrats, that's amazing news!
Hopefully you can relax a little bit now. (I say that as someone who is still totally on edge 😂)

I think we're going to book a private scan for 16 weeks which will be 2 weeks on Friday, just for a bit of reassurance that everything is going to plan.

browneyedgirl626 · 20/06/2023 19:14

@Jupiteer ahh this is great news, you must be so relieved. And now you know it's a boy!

Vil · 20/06/2023 21:33

@Jupiteer congratulations on your baby boy and the good news from the NIPT tests must be such a relief for you

xx

Jupiteer · 22/06/2023 11:39

Hi all
Thank you so much for your support, I'm glad to be in this group especially as apart from one friend, nobody knows we are pregnant! We have arranged to see my parents next weekend so will finally tell them then.
I know what you mean @nizo1245 about being very anxious! I feel a lot better after the low risk NIPT results but still worried as the risks from my NHS screen were so high and my papp-a is so low.
I spoke to the midwife yesterday and she just said trust the NIPT, enjoy your pregnancy and no need for a 16w scan 🙃 she did say they will be able to listen to the heartbeat at my 16w midwife check which may bring some reassurance. I am also considering a private scan just for an extra check and make sure he is looking ok. Feels so weird to know he is a boy!
Are you guys in the group planning to find out the gender? x

AlisonDanuta · 28/06/2023 11:09

Aww @Jupiteer congratulations on having a baby boy! 🎉i bet it's a relief to know you're in 1% !!
I'm not sure what is pappa but will google it, no one has mentioned this before to us. Fingers crossed for you 💕
Must be very stressful and I'm excited for you to tell your family about the pregnancy and also you know it's a boy!

We've booked our 17 week scan privately as we can confirm hopefully everything is going well as well as the gender.. we still will wait to 20 week nhs scan to make sure they state same gender!
I absolutely cannot wait to find out!

We've just came back of our relaxing holiday and we've had a lovely time.
It was lovely to see little kids dancing around! (Can't even imagine how we would feel if this cycle would of failed)
I guess we would of booked adults only lol.

Currently I'm with a massive cold and can't stop coughing... :( been struggling for the last 4/5 days... can't take hardly any medication! So it's a nightmare.
Hopefully this will go away soon!

Hope you're all doing well ❤️

How's everyone's doing?

We've just had our 17 week private scan!
And it's a girl 💕💕💕

I actually can't believe this!
So glad it's all going well as she measures what she should and was moving quite a lot!
Kept going upside down and back like 5 times during the scan! Also had crossed leggs at first!
Such a relief after my fall thst everything is going well!

Hope you're all well and looking after yourselves xxx

Jupiteer · 02/07/2023 17:41

Lovely news @AlisonDanuta one blue and one pink now in the group 🎉
Also glad you had a lovely holiday.
I went for a private scan today as well... Am only 15 weeks but have been feeling so worried since the 12w scan and just wanted some reassurance. All looking good including size and growth ... She checked all the anatomy she could see for 15w and even though we knew he was a boy we saw his willy so it's a definite 🤣 he was moving round ALOT which was also reassuring as he was asleep and still for all of the 12w scan and that added to my worry. Sonographer said with the reassuring NIPT and reassuring scan should stop worrying as everything is looking perfect 👍
Feeling more confident already and have told some family members this weekend... Keep crying when telling people as never thought this day would come 💕
Hope you are all doing well x

AlisonDanuta · 02/07/2023 19:34

@Jupiteer I know exactly what you mean when telling people! I felt like I've run out of tears! Never thought I'd ever say those words "I'm pregnant " so it means a lot also for them too!

I bet they're super happy for you???

I agree - it's time to embrace it now! Plus as everyone say that positiv thinking will attract great things ❤️

Are you planning on any gender reveal or have you told everyone already?

OP posts:
Vil · 02/07/2023 20:56

Ahhhh congratulations @AlisonDanuta on your baby girl.

we’re also planning to find out at 16 weeks in 2 weeks time.

They guessed during our 12 week and we’re pretty attached to that now so hoping their guess was right 😂

AlisonDanuta · 02/07/2023 23:27

Not long @Vil and you will know!

They were guessing?? I would think they could be guessing if they saw a little something there! Haha so assume could be a boy!
At this stage I just kept saying ANY sex as we tried to hard for so long it does not matter.
Definitely nice to know as you can refer to the baby and think of names!

Has anyone started to think of names??

OP posts:
Jupiteer · 09/07/2023 15:53

Hope everyone is good and had a nice weekend 🙂
@AlisonDanuta I have been thinking of names secretly, but we said we will not have a discussion about names or buy baby stuff until after the 20 week scan just in case. I wonder when this constant fear of something going wrong will end! Hopefully after the 20 week scan but who knows 🤷‍♀️

AlisonDanuta · 10/07/2023 09:28

Hello @Jupiteer I am the same...can't look at baby stuff yet just in case... but i feel like we've actually started to believe everything is going well.
Decided to have a small garden party after our 20 week scan to share the gender. We wanted baby for so long that we want to share this with our closest ones.

How is everyone doing?
