Happy Friday ladies 😘 Hope you have all had a great week and have a chilled weekend xxx

beachbum85 · 29/10/2021 16:12

Thanks @ngy21 - it went well! History, urine, bloods, and then an explanation of what happens next, very simple and stress-free :)
I was so hungry I forgot to go to the walk-in vaccination centre to get my flu jab after though haha have to go another time...

Happy Friday everyone and have a great weekend xx

ngy21 · 01/11/2021 10:29

@Lifa hope you had a great weekend!

@beachbum85 that's so great to hear! Did it take long at all? I read the letter that I had come through from NHS and said it could take anywhere between an hour to 3 hours!!! I rang to rearrange the appointment for a later date today - all booked in for the 30th!
Did you have your next scan scheduled whilst you were there?

Happy Monday everyone, @Novavee good luck for today!

Hey everyone! Hope your week is going well :)

@ngy21 excellent! glad you have a date!
It took about an hour or so... most of it was history, which seems a bit silly to have to repeat constantly, but it was good to talk through some things with the midwife. And then just bloods and urine the last 10mins and, yes, she explained the process and scheduled my next scan for the 25th :)

@Novavee I hope you're off to a smooth start! xx

Lots of love all around xx

Novavee · 05/11/2021 09:24

Hi everyone,

For some reason I didn't get the notifications about this thread.

@beachbum85 so glad your appointment went well and they took the time to go over everything with you. I had read on some other threads that due to the shortage of midwives the appointments were shorter, so it's great they are giving you the time and care you deserve. 25th will be here in no time!

@ngy21 so exciting you've got your appointment. How are you feeling?

My appointment on Monday went well. My lining was around 4/4.5mm, but my ovaries are still a bit swollen and had some bruises. They said it was normal so soon after ivf but were worried they would be producing hormones. I had a blood test and all was good, so that was a relief! I am actually on my way to my second scan now. We'll see how my lining is doing and if I have a dominant follicle to be triggered next week.

ngy21 · 05/11/2021 12:15

@beachbum85 not long till next scan!!! i think you have your scan before mine ha! hope you're doing well and nausea symptoms have subsided

@Novavee i am feeling so much better thanks! I am off my progesterone pessaries as well finally! I was told to take it until the end of my 8th week of pregnancy as i did a fresh transfer. Officially relying on my own body to support the pregnancy now. Nervous but exciting at the same time.

Good news on your scan! and good luck for today's scan as well, hopefully you will be given then go ahead to trigger next week! Keep us posted :)

Happy Friday everyone!

Hello ladies I hope you are all ok and had a great week.....I didn't receive a notification that new comments had been added to the thread I thought it had been a bit quiet .....I had my 12 week scan yesterday all looking positive and they could not see the hemotoma so looks like that has healed 😊
@ngy21 glad you are feeling better after stopping your pessaries....I am weaning off all medication this week and hope that stops me feeling sick and getting my appetite back - everything tastes awful so eating a lot more sweet things which isn't helping my waist line 🙊
@Novavee @beachbum85 glad your appointments went well fir you both ☺️
Everyone else hope all is going well for you 😘
Have a great weekend xxx

Novavee · 06/11/2021 09:48

@ngy21 glad you're feeling better and finally off the pessaries. I am not looking forward to those. Although I'm doing a natural FET and my body should produce the progesterone it needs, my consultant is all for extra luteal support, so I'll do anything that might help.

@Lifa so happy for you that all went well with the scan and the hematoma is gone. Wishing you a happy and uneventful pregnancy.

My cd9 scan yesterday was a bit disappointing. I don't have a lead follicle yet and my lining is at 5mm. It all looks good and going in the right direction but they said it's going to be a long cycle again... next scan booked for Tuesday in the hopes that something starts growing this weekend.

Lifa · 06/11/2021 09:51

@Novavee thank you 😘 i have everything crossed for you on Tuesday....I am sure all Will be great xxxx

Lou8319 · 09/11/2021 10:58

@ngy21 sorry for the delay on getting back re risk and water birth, been a busy couple of weeks doing NCT classes and finishing work.

As far as my midwife is concerned, I’m the same as anyone else and j can have whatever kind of birth I like.
To be honest I went in to the nhs phase of the pregnancy (8 weeks on) thinking I was special, I’d get more attention etc, but I am lower risk than my 44 year old friend who conceived naturally, and my 34 year old friend who had gestational diabetes.

beachbum85 · 10/11/2021 10:29

Hi everyone!

Thanks for sharing that @Lou8319 - that's really quite comforting :)
Very glad to hear everything is going smoothly for you!

@Lifa great news on your 12 week scan and your hematoma healing!! Congrats! How are you feeling without the medication? Have you been managing to eat a bit more? I wouldn't worry about the waistline right now xx

Thanks @ngy21! Actually the nausea and sickness have gotten worse and the last 10 days or so have been really rough, but today is a good day so far :)
How are you? Doing OK without the pessaries? I almost missed them for a while haha

Thanks @Novavee, yes it did feel good to be given all the time I needed and not be rushed in and out.
How was your scan yesterday? I hope it was good news for you and things are progressing - sending you lots of patience in case it turns out to be a long cycle xx

I've got alerts for another couple of appointments too now: one is a 16w midwifery appt, and another is an ostretrician appt the same week, and then another is an OGTT blood test appt in Feb. I feel like the midwife must have explained all this when I was in but I've forgotten and didn't take notes!

ngy21 · 11/11/2021 11:31

@Lou8319 thank you! That's so good to hear as I've always wanted to go for a water birth! hopefully will get my midwife appointment soon so we can discuss this :)

@beachbum85 oh no! hopefully it stays this way. I've been pretty lucky, no nausea just excessive gas so constantly needing to burp, especially when i get hungry all of a sudden. I am good thank you! so glad i am off the pessaries! I can't believe you almost missed them haha! I definitely did not... It's so great to see all your appointments in! Got a lot to look forward to :) I am waiting on my first face to face midwife appointment, which should be before the scan. And hopefully will get all my dates in after the 12 week scan!

@Novavee hope you're doing well, how did your tuesday scan go?

hope everyone is doing well :)

Novavee · 11/11/2021 16:25

Hi @ngy21 The scan was better than the last one, thanks. One dominant follicle at 12mm, lining at 6.7mm. I've started using opks and had my first flashing smiley face this morning (very exciting!). I'll check again tomorrow morning and will have another scan in the afternoon. Depending on the opk and the scan, I might trigger tomorrow and transfer on Friday 19th. I'm keeping positive and thinking of all of you. You are the living proof this does work.

ngy21 · 12/11/2021 13:56

@Novavee that's great news! how did your scan go today? have you been given the go ahead for the trigger? So exciting!

Fingers crossed for you, Friday 19th is not far away!

Thinking of you too, cannot wait until your ET!

Novavee · 13/11/2021 23:26

@ngy21 the scan was perfect, thanks. Nice thick trilaminar lining. Had my trigger shot at the nurse's office and we're all booked for Friday afternoon. I start cyclogest on Monday, twice a day. It is so exciting, it's finally feeling real.

ngy21 · 15/11/2021 15:03

@Novavee ahhh!!! how exciting!!! good luck for Friday and keep us posted!!!

hope everyone had a good weekend :)

Good morning ladies and Happy Friday 😊 hope you have all had a great week and have a well deserved Chilled weekend 😘 xxx

beachbum85 · 19/11/2021 13:14

Happy Friday @Lifa and everyone! How are you all doing?
We got our NIPT results yesterday and all conditions are low risk, so that was a big relief :)

@ngy21 I hope you've managed to keep the nausea at bay! have you heard from the midwives about your first appointment?

@Novavee good luck for today! So excited for you and I hope it all goes smoothly xx

Lifa · 19/11/2021 14:20

@beachbum85 I am doing good ....great news about your Nipt results 🙂....I am now off my IVF medication and feeling soooooo much better .....my blood tests at My 12 week scan also came back low risk so feeling relieved also xxx

beachbum85 · 19/11/2021 14:24

@Lifa excellent news! Very happy for you, both about your test results and that you're feeling better :) xx
Enjoy your weekend!!

Novavee · 19/11/2021 19:31

Hi everyone,

Just to update that I had my transfer today. I have a little embie on board. It was a surreal and oddly moving experience. We even got a couple of photos. I can't stop looking at that little bunch of cells. Now onto the tww. Wish me luck!

Lifa · 19/11/2021 21:03

@Novavee amazing news and good luck I have everything crossed 🤞 for you xxx

beachbum85 · 19/11/2021 22:16

Very very best of luck @Novavee - I'll be thinking of you and hoping your little embie sticks!! I hope the tww flies by for you xx

ngy21 · 20/11/2021 00:08

@beachbum85 so glad to hear your results were low risk!!! I'm still quite gassy but it's something I can live with. Not much other symptoms but my chest is getting more and more veiny! I originally was suppose to have a face to face consult with a MW but as they are stacked and the MW who wanted to book in with me had a broken leg, we ended up doing it over the phone! Took about an hour.

I have my bloods and urine test on the 26th tho, where I can collect my MW notes before scan on the 30th.

I have requested for them to check for downs etc at the 12 week scan jus to see if we low risk or need more tests.

Hopefully at my 12 week scan they will book me in for the rest of my appointments! Nervous and excited at same time to see how little bean is progressing

Hope you are doing well!

@Lifa happy Friday to you too and great news about your low risk results!

@Novavee yay!! Keep us posted on ur TWW! Very excited for you ☺️☺️☺️ best of luck 🤞

Thanks @Lifa @beachbum85 @ngy21 5dp5dt today and doing my best not to test early. OTD is Sunday. Some moments I think I feel something, other times I think my mind is playing tricks on me and it's probably just the progesterone. Ain't it fun?

We took some time off and the last few days away from real life have helped keep the madness at bay but I'm on a train home now where there is a good number of pregnancy tests just waiting to be used.

@ngy21 good luck with your next scan. You must be so excited to see your little one!

@Lifa @beachbum85 how are you both doing?
