Hi all! Our last thread is full so thought i'd create a new one!

@beachbum85 glad all is going ok for you 😊 we had a fright yesterday I had a massive bleed and passed a large blood clot we went straight to A&E baby still there and heart beat 😊 ....I had a subchorionic hematoma so on bed rest for the foreseeable....it isn't near the baby which is great and it is something that can happen apparently with IVF...I will be monitored closely xxx

@beachbum85 unfortunately no 😭 still very bloated but the pain wasn't as bad as the night before. Still taking pain meds and drinking lots of peppermint tea to help with gas. Hoping will feel better next few days. The clinic had called today to check up and she said it could be side effects from the progesterone.

@Lifa welcome back! And wow that's super scary!!! I am so glad all is well with the baby and hope you recover soon!

@beachbum85 the mucus seems to have stopped now. There wasn't loads of it but enough that I noticed when I wiped. Who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ not toooooo much longer now I guess!

@Lifa oh no! That sounds so scary 😔 I'm so glad you and the baby are doing ok. Just try and relax the best you can.

@ngy21 so sorry you are still feeling so uncomfortable. Hopefully it will ease soon for you. The side effects from the progesterone are crazy...seem to be having loads the last couple of days!!

@Lifa how scary. Glad you and the baby are okay. Hope you can have a relaxing rest and recovery. I recommend Vigil on BBC if you need something to watch 😂x

@Lifa that must have been so, so scary! Glad to hear that baby is fine, and you heard the heartbeat 😍 and they're going to keep monitoring you, but bedrest sounds very tough... hoping that everything goes smoothly! Take it easy xx

@ngy21 ugh that sounds so uncomfortable :( I must say that the progesterone made me really gassy too but luckily it didn't last too long... def the worst medication! I really hope you feel better soon xx

@2mumlife glad things are moving, although slowly. The constant paperwork is really exhausting.. you'd think they could just get you to sign something saying 'nothing has changed from last month'!

@MollyVanDer I hope you get that review soon!

All is well here, thanks. Today is the first day I'm constantly hungry, which I'm taking as a good sign :) we booked a private scan for the 9th so counting down to then!

Life doesn't go by plan, does it? Last year in March we were supposed to travel with friends, and then COVID hit. At the time we were already TTC but did not know yet about the male factor. One of the girls who was supposed to join at the time didn't even have a partner. Now we are 1,5 years later in time, she already gave birth, and we are still trying.

@Novavee, @2mumsandason congrats with your embryos!

As for my news, I am scheduled for another FET in a natural cycle and have been to the first follicle measurement today. I asked the nurse if they offer "mild IVF" as I felt like in these months of waiting or FETs the egg/eggs in a natural ovulation are wasted and would be good to "pick them up" and increase our chances... She said that they don't do it as it would count as a full attempt in terms of cost.

I have also found a recommendation of a "fertility massage" on a dutch forum and got an appointment, however it should be as close to the transfer day as possible, so actually I had to cancel for now as first have to wait for the positive ovulation test. I figured me relying only on official medicine here hasn't yielded any results yet, so can't hurt to try something alternative...

To those of you who tried acupuncture, did it hurt?

Hi ladies nice to read your updates @ngy21 I asked the nurse if I had any fluid before my transfer and she said no I had loads of water and protein shakes which I think really helped with the ohhs I hope you feel better soon!

I tested today 10dp5dt and it’s a negative so gutted but back to the drawing board for us the killer thing is I have to test again on Sunday as I haven’t bleed yet and I really don’t want to see another negative! I wish I could have a blood test and be done with it to start again baby dust to you all xxx

I forgot to say the progesterone had me running the toilet quite a bit sorry TMI so I’m looking forward to be coming off the tablets good luck guys I think everyone has different effects to it tho so hopefully you don’t get the same xxx

It is really shit when you see other women fall pregnant so easily.... I have 2 friends who got married last Oct and Mar - both said they would only TTC after and now one is due next week and the other is half way through her pregnancy... I'm glad they don't have to go through all this, of course, but I still find it quite hard to stomach.
Glad to hear you're moving ahead with your natural FET though :)
Shame about them not wanting to do an egg collection, but I suppose it would become a sort of fresh transfer for you as well, and become more intense?
I do acupuncture and love it - it doesnt hurt at all. I do feel a little pinch where the needles go in, and sometimes some areas build up pressure or get tingly, but it's not painful and I know it's not for everyone but I find it really relaxing xx

@lifa thanks! literally been sleeping on the recliner the past few nights, but last night managed to sleep in bed without waking up to any pain! Finally looking like it's getting better! Good luck with your scan today!

@2mumsandason thanks! and i agree i feel like the injections, EC and EC recovery were all so minor compared to this!

@beachbum85 thank you, and i agree... mega gassy! but every burp and fart i am happy... the bloat is still there but i am feeling much better today!!

@TheDutchess3 no it really doesn't! and it's probably one of the hardest things... you can chase for good grades and a good job, possibly even find a good partner but planning kids is so completely out of control

@Lotusflower1990000 so sorry about your BFN, and i agree if they do a blood test at least it's more accurate, no more waiting around and just plan for next steps! sending you lots of hugs

Happy Friday peeps 😘 had my scan today, all looking good, baby measured as 6 weeks 5 days based on egg transfer is where should be 🥰 I still have a subchorionic hematoma however it's a lot smaller compared to Tuesday which is great news....so back to bed I go....next scan is next Friday ....hope you are all ok and have a lovely weekend xxx

Thanks so much - 9 weeks today but had a bit of light brown bleeding last few days, so a bit petrified. Hoping to get another scan on monday.

@SerendipitySunshine I am sure everything will be absolutely ok...I know it's easier said than done but try and relax and fingers crossed you get a scan on Monday 😘 xx

Wow this moved fast! It's been a crazy week at work so the time jut flew by. In a way it is good that we have this break before the FET as I feel I am stretched really thin and would not have the mental space to add the FET on top of everything that has been happening. I'm working on some long projects but ended up with a couple more small urgent ones dropped on my desk that had to be squeezed in and we are so understaffed it's ridiculous.

@Bluebonnet3 you must be so pleased to have seen the heartbeat. A couple of days either side shouldn't make a difference, as you said, it is still so small. Good luck for your next scan.

@2mumlife glad to read you've heard from your clinic. Hopefully they will confirm your cycle soon. I thought the consent forms covered fet as well? Or was it just freezing embryos? I'll have to look at mine. Do you both have to sign it? Hopefully my clinic starts moving towards electronic forms, that would save my DW having to take a day off work.

@Lifa that must have been so scary! So happy all is well with baby. Try enjoy your duvet days.

@TheDutchess3 thanks. I haven't tried acupuncture for fertility but I have had it as part of a chiropractic session and it was fine. No pain at all. I am seeing a chiropractor that specialised in pre and post-natal mums. i had a session during stims and I am going to book some more before my FET.

Agreed @lifa - this is my second time, as we were very lucky that our first ivf try worked too, and afterwards I regretted how much I'd worried my pregnancy away. I said if we were ever lucky enough again, I'd enjoy it more. Now I remember why I worried so much first time!
