Hey @beachbum85

I am good thank you 😊 very tired now and started my Mat leave early as even though I am working from home I just want to sleep 😴 all the time and am!! Luckily I had lots of energy a few weeks ago and washed all the baby bits and hospital bag is ready, I am booked in for a csection 12th May so not long to go at all really, my 32 week scan went OK however baby showed he was slightly under following the growth line in comparison to the 28 week scan but is still above the weight he should be so having another scan this week......if you go by my belly size and howuch harder his kicks and punches are now he if definitely growing!!

Not long for your due date either....hadn't time just flown by 😊 hope your calf pain is easing

@ngy21 I Hope you are feeling better after catching covid

@Lifa hey!! all good here thanks, got back from my holiday yesterday... and it's all getting a bit scary now as the next thing we are waiting for is the arrival of little bean....!! It was a much needed holiday as i felt like i caught up on all the sleep from the past 3 months lol!

I have my 31 week midwife appointment on Tuesday to check progress, and hopefully baby is head down (last appointment at 28 weeks baby's butt was moving towards the top of my uterus lol!!!)

I was told by the midwife if i wanted to be extra sure that baby is turning/turned, she can refer me to a scan at 34 weeks to check - might take her up on that offer!!!

how have you been? mat leave for you soon!!! any braxton hicks??? I still need to pack my hospital bag, so i've been trying to make a list today but my head just went blank!!!

beachbum85 · 06/04/2022 11:15

@ngy21 great to hear that you managed your holiday and that you got some much needed R&R in :)
How was yesterday's appointment? Hope the little bean is head down, but I think there's still time if not?

@Lifa so exciting you have a date set!! Have you had another scan? I hope all is looking good - definitely fine if you can see the belly change and feel the movement :)
Sorry to hear you're feeling so tired, but glad you could start mat leave early and that you're managing to sleep and store some energy!

I had my 32w midwife appt last week and everything looks fine - initially thought I might have a urinary infection that needed antibiotics but luckily it was a flase alarm. Still battling with my calves and shins but overall doing well, just still not feeling very prepared at all haha but getting very excited now!

ngy21 · 08/04/2022 09:20

@beachbum85 hey!! glad your app went fine and the UTI was a false alarm!!

I had my appointment this week and was measuring ahead slightly.... and they seemed to have detected sugars??? in my urine... they were unsure but at the same time i know my diet hasnt been amazing lol...!!

I have been referred to a growth scan for tomorrow morning, i just hope baby is measuring normal as if baby is bigger, means i need to do another glucose test!!!! really dreading that....

Otherwise... baby seems all good, very active at night! my legs seems to want to swell but then they dont?!! so strange.

Good to hear you are doing well over all, is your next appointment round the corner? Should be more frequent soon (after 34 weeks?)

I guess the feeling of being unprepared is mutual (for me anyways!) we still have people working on our extension and garden.... i just hope they will finish soon so i can enjoy the house a bit more before babies arrival!!

Hey @ngy21 @beachbum85

I Hope you are both doing well and had a lovely Easter 🐣 the weeks are certainly skipping by!

My csection has been pulled forward to May 4th and will be just under 38 weeks, I have had a couple of hospital admissions the last 4weeks due to suspected preclampsia which is all OK but my blood preasure keeps spiking so my consultant decided baby is better out than staying, my last scan last week he was weighting in at approx 6lb 6oz so a nice weight 🙈 . I have had my steroid injections for my little mans lungs, can't believe we get to meet him next week after all this time we are soooooo excited 💙 what an emotional, challenging and exciting journey it has been 🙃

ngy21 · 27/04/2022 09:34

@Lifa Hey!! Easter was great thanks - nothing special but a good excuse to finish my choccies off 🙄

Omg! Hope everything goes well with you and baby, how exciting (and what a date, May 4th)! 6lb 6 oz as well wowza 😱

It's been so great to see/hear about your journey in here - cannot wait for next week now 😁

Wishing you a safe and healthy delivery, please do keep us updated! Do you have anymore appointments before May 4th?

I have my 34w MW appointment on Friday and i guess from then on itll just be bi weekly appointments.... nothing special going on here. Potential growth scan again if baby isn't hitting the right points on chart, but thats it! Oh and hopefully my pee this week won't show up with any sugars... as my last appointment it did and if i get another + on my chart i have to do the GD test again 😭

Good morning @ngy21 😘

Glad you had a good Easter you can't bet Easter Egg chocolate it tastes too nice!

Awww thank you, can't belive still that he will be here 1 week today we are soooooo excited, I am back at the hospital tomorrow and Monday to be monitored on the CTG machine to check baby, dip my wee for protein and have my blood pressure taken 5x in 30 minute intervals. Tuesday evening we have put pre assessment fir the csection the next day, that will be covid testing. Where we need to arrive, ab questions and to get the antiseptic I need to wash in that night and the following morning, so glad we are not having the baby in mid covid as its still very strict when hubbie can visit after baby arrives 🙈

Hooe your MW appointment goes great on Friday , those GD tests are horrid I am sure all will be good for you 😊

It has been great to have this page as support and go through everyone's journeys with them, I will defo keep you both updated.....exciting times ahead 💙 xxx

beachbum85 · 04/05/2022 08:59

Hey ladies!

I just wanted to drop in and say a huge good luck @Lifa for your delivery today!! So, sooooo exciting 😍Keep us posted - I'll be thinking of you today 💙

@ngy21 I hope you're well and all tests were fine on Friday? xx

I've been kind of out of the loop as my partner's mum sadly passed away last week (after a long illness, so not unexpected but the timing threw us a little) and he's back home, so we've been apart for a few weeks and not really focused on baby preps at all😕but I had a scan at 34w when I got here and all looks fine and another one today at 36w so hopefully all still going smoothly!

ngy21 · 04/05/2022 09:39

@Lifa that's a lot of prep work to go into place! good luck to you and wishing you safe delivery, not long now!!!! I can't wait to hear your updates 😊

@beachbum85 so sorry to hear! no one can ever be prepared for things like this to happen... hope your 36w appointment goes well today!

My appointments have been ok so far, no GD and no more +'s on my urine sample but my 34w app last week they said i might have some infection 😪 never ending. had my wee sample tested but results came back to say i need to do another...

I have a growth scan tomorrow so hopefully they can dip my wee and let me know if i still need to send a sample off. And then i will have my 36w app next week!! Time kinda flies in these final weeks with all these appointments piling up!!

@beachbum85 @ngy21 thank you ladies I am very nervous, scared, excited and can't believe today is finally here 💙

@beachbum85 so sorry to hear about your mother I law sending lots of love and hugs your way ❤

@ngy21 feeling your pain i had a bladder infection they are awful, I had a blood preasure spike so I was taken into hospital last Wednesday and kept in until they deliver the baby

Well just found out I am next on the list and will be moving down to theatre at 10.30am so only 45 minutes to go.....

Will keep you both updated 😘 xxx

SerendipitySunshine · 04/05/2022 10:32

Good luck @lifa thinking of you.

We have had a beautiful DD following our August transfer. It's been a bumpy ride, so I can hardly believe she is real.

Fingers crossed for those due to have their babies soon.

ngy21 · 04/05/2022 12:54

@Lifa Congratulations!! He's adorable!! Welcome to the world sweet little Amir 💙
How are you feeling??

@SerendipitySunshine Huge congratulations to you too and so glad to hear that all is well 😍

@ngy21 I'm glad to hear it's a no for GD and hopefully it will be the same for the infection too 🤞🏼 good luck with the scan tomorrow and let us know how everything goes.

Many, many thanks for your kind words about my mother-in-law xx
Appointment went well today but baby has grown at a surprising rate (1kg over 3w!) so I'll be monitored again next week and the week after as if he keeps growing like this they may induce me early. He was actually below average size and weight last time so not sure what's going on 🤷🏻‍♀️ but the doctor said he's positioned perfectly and he's not worries, so I'm going to try not to worry too!

Lifa · 05/05/2022 06:21

@beachbum85 thank you so much we are absolutely loved up with Amir he is just perfect 💙 with in my self I am feeling great, blood preasure is back down to pre pregnancy range straig ht away?? The csection team were absolutely amazing....I honestly didn't feel shy pain, I am feeling uncomfortable this morning so just keeping topped up painkillers and should be going home either Friday or Saturday 😍

@SerendipitySunshine congratulations on your new arrival 💖 hope baby and you are well 😘

@ngy21 Hope your growth scan goes OK today I sure all will be great

Hope you all have a great day 😘

Novavee · 06/05/2022 18:00

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I was active here. I was struggling little with the nausea and increase anxiety and had to take a break from Mumsnet. When the nausea finally passed, hip pain started so I was referred to physio and that has helped a bit.

Both our scans were perfect and I am now 26+5 with a little girl.

I still have some days when anxiety hits, especially of she is having a quiet day. I have an anterior placenta so unless she is properly kicking or completely changing positions in a way that makes my bump roll and jump, I can barely feel her.

I had my first proper midwife face to face appointment this week and heard the heartbeat which was nice and strong. She is also measuring as expected so I was told to just enjoy the pregnancy and not to worry.
Easier said than done.

I've been focusing on getting as much ready as possible but still have a few larger bits to buy and not nearly enough clothes. It has been one of my favourite parts so far, getting the nursery ready.

@Lifa @SerendipitySunshine congratulations on your little ones!

@ngy21 I hope your scan went well.

@beachbum85 glad to read your doctor is not worried about the growth spurt. Good luck for next week.

I hope you all enjoy the lovely weather this weekend.

Lifa · 08/05/2022 16:21

@Novavee how lovely to hear from you and great news about all going well with your little bean and a baby girl 💗 I had the same with my plencta and as you say unless the baby moved position I didnt feel him much and also felt movement a lot later on ......i suffered awful with anxiety through out my pregnancy on and off, I spoke to my midwife who referred me to the wellbeing support team, i regular contact with them which defo helped it didnt take away all my anxiety but helped, do you have anything like that in your area?

@beachbum85 @ngy21 @SerendipitySunshine hope you are all doing well 😘

We arrived home from hospital on Friday evening, settling into our new life with our Amir....we are absolutely loving it and feeling very lucky and blessed to be his Mumma and Babba 💙 xxx

beachbum85 · 10/05/2022 12:38

@Lifa I'm so glad to hear you were feeling well almost immediately! I hope you managed to keep the pain at bay and are settling in fine with Amir😊

@Novavee so happy to hear your great news!! I'm sorry about your anxiety and it is hard not to worry... My placenta is the same too and it took a long time for me to feel movements and it's only now that he's running out of space that I feel strong and frequent movements. But I'm really glad everything is proceeding as expected and you're enjoying the nursery and preps ⭐

@ngy21 I hope last week's scan was OK and you're well xx

I finally managed to register with the public hospital here at home, so that's a relief but I had a bit of a scare yesterday as my blood pressure was quite high when I went in for the new booking appt and they said they might have to admit me this week! Luckily it's back to normal today, and my partner is finally back with me, so we have a little more time to mentally prep 😅

ngy21 · 16/05/2022 10:11

Hey ladies!!

Scan went well thanks, i think that's the last growth scan for me! =
how is everyone doing?

@beachbum85 not long left for you guys, i'm glad you have everything pretty much sorted now!!

@Lifa so happy for you guys! how are you coping? recovering well from the section?

@Novavee congrats on your little girl!!! good that your nausea has passed but i feel for you for hip pain... for me it didn't get any easier as i need to twist and turn every hour in the night. i've resorted to sleeping in the nursery recliner from time to time. but also made sure i get my afternoon naps in!!! hopefully your pain doesn't get worse. have you tried a maternity belt? they did help me throughout 2nd and early 3rd tri but now only the recliner helps. but when i sleep on the recliner my hands and feet swell easier. and i do believe i have carpal tunnel as well which doesn't help when hands swell!

I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow... really want this baby to come soon so these symptoms can go but also, really want a June baby 😂

Hope everyone is keeping well

How are you all doing xxx

beachbum85 · 21/06/2022 20:47

Hey @Lifa nice to hear from you! I've been meaning to message for weeks, 4 weeks actually as our little boy, Leo, was born on 25 May 💙 we're totally in love! The birth itself was a bit traumatic as he went into distress and we ended up with an emergency c-section, but it was quick and fine, and he's lovely 😍the recovery has been better than I expected and we've really been enjoying these weeks as a family of 3... sleepless nights and endless feeding and all... we can't get over the fact that he's finally here after everything!

What about you? I hope all is still going smoothly with little Amir
And @SerendipitySunshine with your little girl too!

@ngy21 any news from you and your June baby? xx

@Novavee how are you doing? I hope you've been able to keep the anxiety at bay xx

I hope everyone else has been keeping well!

ngy21 · 21/06/2022 21:53

hey ladies! Sorry have been MIA.
our little boy arrived on the 20th May 😊😊😊 he came early at 37+3!

soaking it all in at the moment, I had a pretty traumatic birth as well and we ended up staying in hospital for 4 nights, we are all good now tho! Baby has his BC injections tomorrow so not sure how that’s gonna go… !!!

hope you’re all doing well!!!

Novavee · 10/07/2022 10:15

Hi everyone,

36 weeks today, so not long to go now and counting the days to meet our baby girl.

@ngy21 physio helped and they gave me a maternity belt that made walking more comfortable, so it has been manageable.

So happy to read you have your little boy with you and you are doing well. I am sorry about the traumatic birth, though.

@beachbum85 I am glad you are recovering well and enjoying your time as a family. Our little one is getting bigger and running out of room so she is definitely making her presence felt, which is great and that has helped keep anxiety at bay.

I hope everyone else is well.

ngy21 · 10/07/2022 10:37

@Novavee thank you! Hope you’re doing well too. Definitely not long to go, how exciting!!! have all your checks been ok? Birth plan all done?
