Hi.. I'm starting my third round of ivf First didn't stick second did an ended with a miscarriage.. I'm about to have my third round so throught is start a thread if anyone would like to share there journey or is awaiting ivf. Etc. Let do it together. I was on a thread before an really helped.

@willithappen hopefully when you ahve you appointment it will move quickly I can try an find out for you? Have you had any test or anything as of yet? Or is this your first appointment? Of course stick around you never know I may still be on the journey the way things are going

I've been reading the other thread and following everyone's progress quietly as I don't yet have much to report myself.

So sorry to hear that you're still struggling with the period situation☹️ At least you've now got your procedure booked for Friday! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

As for me, all my meds got delivered yesterday. I'll start downgrading (with Buserelin injections) Thursday 22nd October. I'm on the long protocol so the nov/ dec thread is more appropriate for me although I'll be keeping an eye on the other one too as I'm so invested in everyone's journeys.

@MF1981 hello! Are you on the long or short protocol? Are your next meds to downgrade or are you going straight into stimulation injections?

@BrandyM hello lovely that's ok :) I went in yesterday so now recovery after all the drugs and medication they gave me yesteday. an hopefully wait again for the dreaded period again lol. 🤣..

I'm quietly watching the other thread aswell.

How are you? So have you got to wait for you period to start or start on day 21 xx

@ivfhope3 we started back in October last year with blood Tesrs and SA etc. Then fertility referral appointment in Jan this year, HyCoSy in Feb, had another appointment for April to confirm my partner had stopped smoking (he was a social smoker) but that was cancelled due to Covid. Had a video appointment in May where they confirmed IVF next step and that we'd be on the waiting list from the looking at ten month wait.
We're unexplained also. So not 100% sure what to expect of this Nov appointment since last we had was back in May and was told we probably wouldn't hear anything further until March 2021.

Hope you don't mind me joining. I have nobody to talk to about this all. We're about to start our first round with MFI and I have PCOS, so the odds weren't in our favour. I'm currently taking Norethisterone and should start stims on 7th Nov.

I've obviously been reading your other threads and hope you're all doing okay. I'm a bit of a negative Nancy but I'm trying so hard to believe in the science.

@ivfhope3 thanks so much. So sorry to hear you’re going through it alone. My best mate knows and that’s it. She suffered with lots of misscarriges so she has some idea how crap infertility is.

I just feel so negative. We were turned down by Access Fertility for their refund packages so that means our chances are slim because they’re not willing to take on the risk. And since that news I’ve been so down. I’m hoping I’ll get out of this woe is me stage soon.

Apart from that I feel okay about the treatment. I’m not thrilled about the egg collection but it’s got to be done.

What stage are you at now?

@Luludarty aww hun I'm sorry you was turned down. That's so crap there supposed to help. That's good you ahve your best friend I don't think people really know what goes into fertility An how emotional stressful an draining it can be.

Egg collection isn't to bad.

So I've had my second procedure on Friday after a long 10 weeks so hopefully that's all the tissue out now an I can move forward. If that is the case I'm waiting for my period to start which can be between 2-6 weeks I'm doing a natural cycle this time, an I ahve 3 embryos in the freezer.

Today I feel really down an very tearful

Other than that I'm ok :) xx

@ivfhope3 yeah it was a bit of a kick in the teeth. But I figure this whole process is going to have ups and downs. I’m hoping for more ups.

Sorry you’ve had a rough time. I’m so new to this all, what is the difference with a natural cycle? It’s all happed really fast, we had our initial consultation last month and now I’m already on Norethisterone. So I have no idea about any of it really. I’ve just been Googling everything.

Sorry you feel down. I feel you. It’s just isolating eh? And the emotions you feel on a daily basis are just exhausting. Just do you, if you feel shit just feel shit, tomorrow is a totally new day.

A natural cycle is where I have no medication I track my ovulation an then once ovulation is there I go in 6 days after. I've had 2 medicated cycles an both failed one didn't work an the other was this one an I got to 8 weeks and was told it wouldn't go further.
My partner has fertility issues.

Bless you I've learnt so much from these threads I didn't know anything until I went on to here..

I think my emotions are everything. From this to covid, to treatments ops etc.

How are you feeling about it all do you know what protocol your going to be doing? Xxx

Can I join this thread as well, am on the October one but everyone is much further ahead than me. I start stims on the 29th Oct with provisional egg collection on the 11th November. Be good to chat to people going through it at the same time!

@ivfhope3 oh mate, that is so crap. Did they give you any explanations for why this happened? I’ve not been told anything about reasons for things not working. I’m keeping everything crossed for this cycle being your one. I’m not sure about protocol. I have 2 weeks of Norethisterone then a gap of around 6 days and then stims for about 10 days. I’m high risk of OHSS I think though cos I have a super high AMH. So may have to do a FET.

@Luludarty sounds similar to what I am doing. I am on norethisterone now, stop on Saturday and fingers crossed start menopur next Thursday the 29th 🤞. Have you been through this protocol already? It's my first IVF cycle!

@dragonfly1978 yeah first round. How are you feeling about the injections?

@Luludarty I am a nurse so that's the only bit I am not too worried about!!

@dragonfly1978 I’m so jealous of that! I’m terrified of having to do the injections!

@MF1981 me too!!!! @dragonfly1978 do you have any tips or words of encouragement? I couldn’t even prick my finger to do an at home blood test.

@Luludarty @MF1981 I was so nerves about the injections but I promise you there not that bad. A prick on the finger is worse I think.

Ok. I had my nurse appointment yesterday - she seemed to think we would just know how to inject and was quite dismissive of our questions and concerns. She did soften a bit towards the end but I was quite surprised!
