@elleceedee all they keep saying is there is a heartbeat, bust because of the size an not growing that's what's worrying. Even tho there is is a heartbeat..
So does that mean that it still could happen.. do ivf babies measure small? I'm

@pattaz2711 I don't know enough to help you with answers, sorry. If I were you I would ring your clinic on Monday with the details from the scan you had yesterday and ask them to help you understand what is going on. It's not right that you should just be left unsupported by your clinic at a difficult time. And maybe they can't say at this stage for definite what is going to happen, but they should at the very least be able to say we will scan again on x date and we will be looking for xyz and if we don't see xyz then here are the next steps.

I'm sorry you are having such a tough time - I think if I were you I'd take the latest scan results back to EPU and request another scan in a weeks time? At this point I don't think your IVF clinic will be any help as they've effectively discharged you as they've got you a BFP and the private scan place will just keep taking your money.

I think all of them are reluctant to do anything unless the heartbeat stops

IVF babies shouldn't measure any smaller than natural babies and really they should be more accurate in sizing as you have a definite conception date compared to people who don't know when they ovulate. I have to be honest in that I've seen happy endings where the baby has measured up to a week behind but not any longer than that and not where it's been 2 weeks behind....I know that's tough to hear. Is there another EPU you can go to at a different hospital? X

@ivfdreaming sorry I'm being such a pain to this group,
There isn't another EPU to go to, so I had my transfer on the 17th June. Which on the calculation dates it's 8+1... can some ultrasounds measurements be different?

All the different clinics should measure in the same way so they might be a 1mm or so out but there should be a big discrepancy - did they give you a heart rate? X

Only cause now I've seen the heartbeat.. I'm so scared

Have you decided what to you? Are you going to take your latest scan result back to your EPU?
I think if they say they won't do anything then the only thing to do is to book another private scan for a week or 2 time to see if there is any change? If the heart stops then your EPU would have to get involved then? X

@pattaz2711 that's good advice from @ivfdreaming - EPU would be better to contact than your clinic as like she says you've had a BFP and they've seen a heartbeat so they aren't likely to be very helpful. EPU will be very experienced in dealing with situations like this and can hopefully give you a more definitive answer and arrange another scan so hopefully you won't be in limbo any more.

I'm panicking tonight as all my symptoms have completely disappeared so feeling very anxious.

@ivfdreaming @elleceedee what do I say to EPU I think they only see you if you have been bleeding..

I'd ring and say you've had a follow up private scan and the baby is measuring much smaller than it should - well over a week more like 2 and no growth - normally I've heard of EPUs following these up but maybe because you were measuring fine for your dates and there was a heartbeat the last time you were seen by them that's why they haven't booked you in for a follow up?

If they say no you have no choice but to continue to have private scans until there is a significant change eg lack of heartbeat. I'm No expert but from previous stories I've read if the heart is going to stop it will be in the next week or so?

I know it's an anxious time - I woke up this morning and was convinced my bump had gotten smaller which had to mean I'd lost the smaller twin but after dinner it's popped right out again.
Given that I've supposedly got twins in there I still have ZERO symptoms - no sore boobs, no nausea, I'm tired but then we've just got back from holiday and I drove the 6 hours home 🤷‍♀️
Other than the bump I don't feel pregnant at all

When is your next scan? X

@ivfdreaming thank you I'll try that tomorrow, I might ring my doctor aswell for some bloods to see what's happening.

@elleceedee I haven't had no symptoms apart from sore boobs that's it, that's what worries me aswell.. I feel sick in the evening but I think that's prob the crap I've eaten in the day..

I'm trying to drink lots of water, to see if that helps in anyway..

Partner is so positive that the lady got the measurements wrong at the clinic.. when you feel like this an jsut want to have a cry an that.. do you feel like smacking them 😂🙈like shut the fuck up.. i know he means well bless him.. I want to be positive I really do but it's so bloody hard.. an also I sold my car cause we was picking up another one an they guy let us down. So I'm now without a car, an he's like oh drive the transit oh yeh ok, you won't have much left if I drove that.. I'm just having one of those days... sorry it's not even ivf related..

I just feel everything is getting on top of me with the pregnancy is it happening is it not.. an now the bloody car..

Oh an I really fancied babybels I don't even like them.. oh an I haven't got a car to get them 😂😂🙈🙈🙈...

@pattaz2711 so sorry you are going through this. The waiting game is awful and makes us feel powerless. I think @ivfdreaming has given good advice.

@elleceedee my symptoms come and go. Sometimes sore boobs, sometimes not. This morning I feel a bit sick - but don’t know if I’m just hungry!

@ivfdreaming did you have two embryos transferred? Sorry I can’t remember.

Hi, my doctor is going to blood test me aswell to see what's going on, the clinic is going to scan me tomz I suppose we're see from there xx

@pattaz2711 morning! I woke up feeling hungover - don’t know if that’s what morning sickness is meant to feel like. Got my 7 week scan tomorrow so nervous about that and just want it done, but with good news!

@BabySweet85 aw bless you I haven't had the sickness feeling just sore boobs an tiredness.. I get major heartburn an feel sick with food but that's it.
Im convinced I have no symptoms.

The baby hasn’t grown an the heartbeat you can’t really see it now.. she’s getting someone else to look now she said it's very hard to tell the heartbeat
