So sorry to hear your news @Dbrook @BKB27 @Goramm The sense of loss is compounded by the utter sense of failure, and it’s just the most awful feeling. We are our biggest critics and tend to put 100% blame on ourselves. Hope you’re all been well looked after and you can find strength to keep trying. Xx

Thanks you @HT2101 and @pattaz2711. Im very lucky to have a supportive DH. Im sure we will get through this as we have done before. It just feels too heavy to carry sometimes. Wishing you all well in your journeys and hopefully will be in touch soon to share good news x

A quick update from me - had my 7 week scan this morning and all looking ok. I am extremely relieved to say the least! I have also been in this position several times before but have gone on to have bad news at subsequent scans so know I can't take anything for granted right now.

How is everyone today? @HT2101 have you tested yet? @pattaz2711 hope you are doing ok? @BabySweet85 how are you feeling?

@elleceedee I guess I am just plodding along. Got my 7 week scan on 29th. I’ve had no spotting/bleeding so far. Some pregnancy symptoms - sore breasts, gone off some food by the sight of it and napping everyday.

Glad your scan went well. Did they say anything specific? Measurements? Fingers crossed all is good at the next one. Is the next one the 12 week one? Have your clinic discharged you to the nhs now that all os good? X

@BabySweet85 the symptoms are reassuring aren't they! I keep reminding myself that when I've cooked a healthy meal and can't physically bring myself to eat any of it! I've had a lot of cereal the past few days.... and crisps!

Yes I've been discharged from the clinic now! I'm measuring a little bit ahead but I'm 5'11" and my DH is 6'5" so I think we just make big babies, they didn't seem overly concerned. The next one will be 12 weeks with the NHS but I'm going to book a private one for week 9 or week 10.

@elleceedee yes the struggle is real - I want to be healthy but not really happening! I was thinking of doing a private one as well if I make it past the 7 week scan - was thinking of getting a more thorough health check x

Hi @elleceedee I caved & tested yesterday which was 5dp5t. Had got my hopes up after reading lots of stories on here of people getting a BFP that early. However it was just the one line for me so have spent the last 24hrs feeling upset & didn’t dare test again today. Great to hear you & @BabySweet85 are cooking along nicely. X

Sorry it was BFN yesterday @HT2101 but still so early for you, don't be disheartened just yet. Fingers crossed for when you test again.

Update on me I have a scan this evening
9:15pm a private one.. hopefully good news this evening an I can relax a little bit.. although not getting any pregnancy symptoms only sore boobs that's it..

I've had the scan it hasn't grown in a week.. still a heartbeat but hasn't grown..
So still nothing

@pattaz2711 did they discuss the fact it hasn't grown? What it means? What the chances are? How long you have to wait?

@BabySweet85 they said be prepared chances are it's not gonna happen it should of grown in a week but hasn't, but stiill a heartbeat.. cause it's private they told me I can pay again to see them in a week.
Or ring my clinic.

@pattaz2711 I’m sorry about the measurements. This is such a difficult journey. How are you feeling?

@BabySweet85 to be honest like shit.. I just feel like I'm losing all hope now.. it's not getting any easier.. I just want an answer if you know what I mean I know it can't be helped an what happen will happen. But it's not easy x

@pattaz2711 I’m not surprised. The not knowing is do hard. Just want to know either way. Then you can start to move forward rather then being in limbo. Hope you get a good night’s sleep tonight x

There is a heartbeat tho.. can these measurements be wrong.. she said it should grow a mm a day but hasn't since last week. I haven't slept at all ..

@pattaz2711 I'm so sorry you are going through this, it must be so stressful and hard. It sounds like you need to have another scan in a week to see if there has been any more growth, is that right? Sending love to you.

@elleceedee this was a private scan so it literally hasn't grown in a week not even a mm.. I don't know if to phone my clinic or EPU or what to do.. the heartbeat is there is that a good sign she said doesn't really matter if there is nothing you can do to stop what might happen.. I feel like shit.. sorry

@pattaz2711 it sounds like nobody has really explained anything fully to you and are just leaving you to interpret the scans for yourself? Have they actually said you may be miscarrying? With my second miscarriage I was in awful limbo where I was being scanned every two weeks and even though there was no heartbeat everything else kept growing and because of that they wouldn't actually tell me to stop medication etc, I think I got to week 9 before they were satisfied that I had miscarried and told me to stop medication. I think that they are reluctant to say it is definitely a miscarriage until there's been two weeks of no growth - that's how it was explained to me. So even though they told me to continue with meds etc they very gently prepared me for the fact that I was miscarrying. Not saying that you are in the same situation at all (I really hope not) but it just sounds like you've been told "there's nothing you can do to stop what might happen" which of course is true but it doesn't seem like they've given you a time scale or what they might be looking out for on the next scan etc? Out of the clinic, EPU and private, which one do you think has been most informative and sensitive? I would be tempted to go with whichever one you feel most comfortable/informed with and book another scan with them in a week or two weeks so enough time has passed for you to know one way or another. It is shit, I'm sorry you are going through this and I really hope you are one of the success stories.
