@Goramm welcome to the thread, have you tested again today? Lines can really vary depending on time of day, concentration of urine etc etc - hope your DW gets a better line today. When is OTD?

takingthistooseriously · 18/07/2020 12:07

Thanks all
Scan showed a few pools of blood around the sac but a good heartbeat thank goodness! I'm still bleeding a bit so still panicking though!

@pattaz2711 I hope you are being well looked after

elleceedee · 18/07/2020 12:11

@takingthistooseriously oh thank goodness there's still a heartbeat - you must feel so relieved! How many weeks are you now? Did they say anything else about the sacs of blood - will they cause more bleeding?

My miscarriage was confirmed this morning. Heart has stopped beating and embryo has shrunk. Devastated. I feel so sad that I've lost two and I don't really know where I go from here. We tried every drug/treatment imaginable this time which makes you feel like it'll never work. The only thing we didn't do is PGS testing - we have two embryos left and we are going to test both. Got to get through the miscarriage first though and I'm scared. I've had two D&Cs in the past and was left with scar tissue because of them (which was surgically removed last year), so I've been strongly advised to go the natural route this time. It's not going to be pleasant.

elleceedee · 18/07/2020 13:10

@Everhopeful35 I'm so sorry, how devastating for you. If it's any consolation I found my 'natural' miscarriage easier to deal with than the one I had to have removed surgically. It's still a horrible thing to go through whatever route you take. Please look after yourself and keep posting here if you feel it's helpful for you. Sending love x

@Everhopeful35 so sorry, this must be terrible. I totally understand your desire to do PGS testing, that's what we'll do with our last embryo and any future ones too. Too much pain. I hope you're taking good care of yourself, please do x

@takingthistooseriously keeping fingers and toes crossed for you!

@elleceedee thanks for your message, we've tested again this morning (10dpt) and the line was barely visible today. I really think it was a chemical pregnancy, first time we tested from day 4 and the drop after a steady line on day 8 was not expected :( our OTD is on Tuesday the 21st but there's 0.01% hope left Confused

pattaz2711 · 18/07/2020 13:57

@Everhopeful35 I'm so sorry for your loss my lovely.. look after yourself my lovely sending lots of hugs..

@takingthistooseriously have they said what the blood in the sac is..

My scan showed heartbeat but the CRL is measuring small told me to take it easy, my consultant said if I feel unwell I should go into hospital to rest nothing can stop what's going to happen

ivfdreaming · 18/07/2020 14:37

@Everhopeful35

I'm so sorry. It's just so awful sending you all my love.

I PGS tested 2 blastocysts last year - neither came back normal and clinics aren't allowed to transfer abnormals in the U.K., one of mine was a low level mosaic which we were allowed to transfer but it was a BFN

Dbrook · 18/07/2020 14:52

@Everhopeful35 I’m so sorry. It’s just awful xxx

ivfdreaming · 18/07/2020 14:54

@takingthistooseriously

Good news about the heartbeat - I read that IVF pregnancies are more likely to have bleeding (not sure why!)

Will you need to go back and be scanned again? X

BabySweet85 · 18/07/2020 16:38

@Everhopeful35 I’m so sorry - look after yourself today xxx

HT2101 · 18/07/2020 18:59

@Everhopeful35 hope you’re being well looked after. Heartbreaking to read your post. Please don’t give up xx

BabySweet85 · 18/07/2020 19:34

@HT2101 how did your phone-call go? Been thinking of you too.

pattaz2711 · 18/07/2020 20:07

@HT2101 how did your phone call go today xx

takingthistooseriously · 18/07/2020 22:34

@Everhopeful35 I'm so sorry, it is so hard

@pattaz2711 I hope you are being well looked after by DH. My bleeding seems to be just a haematoma which is just blood outside the sac, they said it wouldn't affect the pregnancy but some googling says it is associated with a higher chance of miscarriage so more googling for me!

Thanks all, @ivfdreaming yes it does seem to be more common in ivf pregnancies, no idea why. I'm 8+5 today, how far along are you now? Hope all is going well!

@Goramm welcome and thank you! Fingers crossed for your lines

takingthistooseriously · 18/07/2020 22:37

@elleceedee thank you! I'm 8+5 and yes I think I will have more bleeding but hopefully I'll worry less now.. maybe! I'm still bleeding a bit Confused how far along are you now? Do you have a scan coming up any time soon?

ivfdreaming · 19/07/2020 03:14

@takingthistooseriously

I'm 8+2 I think today (Sunday) based on egg collection/transfer dates rather than last period date. I'm doing ok - have a rather big bump already - drinking lots and lots of water as I read that can help the sac grow (for the smaller twin) so just got to get through next couple of weeks until reassurance scan on the 31st

Some new scan places have opened up here me and the introductory offer is only £44 a scan so tempted to book in for a few!

This will definitely be my last pregnancy if it's twins so want to try and make the most of it x

HT2101 · 19/07/2020 09:52

@BabySweet85 @pattaz2711 Out of the 9 that were mature, 6 fertilised. I got 2 top grade blasto’s and 1 not quite so good. The final 3 were all still in the running yesterday but clinic just rang and said that none of the 3 are able to be frozen. Really is such a tough numbers game. X
