@Everhopeful35

Sounds like the doctors might still think there is a chance? So many scans though, it's good you are closely monitored but I imagine it's just adding to your stress and anxiousness. I've heard about the monitoring at ARGC but also ££££

pattaz2711 · 16/07/2020 15:33

@Everhopeful35 was there a heartbeat at all? Xx

pattaz2711 · 16/07/2020 15:35

@Everhopeful35 sorry just catching up mine won't even give me a heart rate, an mine is really low aswell and also the gestation sac is even more irregular.. they haven't mentioned miscarriage they said just see how it goes xx

MrsLouB · 16/07/2020 16:06

@Dbrook i am doing ok thank you xx

pattaz2711 · 16/07/2020 19:59

Sorry what I don't get if there's a heartbeat then doesn't that mean something? I'm going out my mind overthinking.. or is that why it could be slow because it's failing.. even tho it's grown.. I'm pulling me hair out over all this

elleceedee · 17/07/2020 14:35

Just checking in after being absent for a while. My anxiety has been through the roof so trying to stay offline in order to help me manage it a little better.

Had a read through the last few pages and I'm so sorry that so many of us are dealing with sad news or uncertainty. This journey is very cruel.

@HT2101 how was EC? How many eggs did you get? Sorry if I've missed this but couldn't see a post from you!

@pattaz2711 I'm sorry you don't have any answers yet, fingers crossed for more clarity at your next scan.

@Everhopeful35 how devastating for you to be left on limbo not knowing what might happen with the other baby. Really hoping you get some good news at your scan tomorrow. How many weeks are you now?

@Dbrook sorry pressed post before I had written to you. I'm so sorry to hear about your scan. This is what I'm afraid of too. Sending love to you.

Thanks for asking @elleceedee, waiting on my final phone call from the lab tomorrow to see any made blasto stage. I got 13 from collection, 9 were mature and now just have to wait 24hrs to get an update. Like you my anxiety is through the roof as last time none of them made it. How you feeling otherwise?

elleceedee · 17/07/2020 16:01

That's a great number @HT2101 good luck for the update. I've had some brown spotting on and off but nothing too bad, I tried to get an early scan at the nearest EPU but they said they wouldn't see me as brown spotting is "normal". Just got a week to wait until my clinic scan so counting down until then.

@HT2101 great numbers! Fingers crossed they make it to day 5 x

HT2101 · 17/07/2020 17:40

@BabySweet85 thanks, not sure I’ll be getting much sleep tonight. Hope you’re feeling ok?

BabySweet85 · 17/07/2020 17:51

@HT2101 i am sending you all the positive vibes. To give you some context, i only had 8 retrieved, 5 mature, 4 fertilised and 2 made it to 5 day blastocyst. So there is always hope!

I’m feeling good. Got my 7 week scan on 29th so got a while to wait for any news. The only thing that is getting me down is my return to work - still anxious about pregnancy and the virus x

HT2101 · 17/07/2020 18:02

@BabySweet85 have they said when you have to start travelling back in to work? I’m hoping to hang on until September when we move to a new office.

Can I ask if any of you ladies were prescribed Dostinex (cabergoline) after your EC. I feel like an absolute space cadet, my arms / legs don’t feel attached to my body and just have zero energy. I’m presuming it must be these tablets rather than the clexane.

BabySweet85 · 17/07/2020 18:46

@HT2101 I’m a teacher so have been going to work throughout ivf but there are so few students in it hasn't been too bad. But in September it will be 1500+ in school so very hard to social distance. But it is the summer now so I get to spend the first trimester 🤞at home at least x

ivfdreaming · 17/07/2020 19:35

I have a 4 year old and because I had to "accept" a temporary pay cut couldn't afford to pay for my usual full time childcare so work have agreed to me working from home until September - which is a good thing as I'm only 8 weeks and I have a very noticeable bump already and I wanted to hide it from My employer as long as possible as they are doing some redundancies

@BabySweet85 the 29th seems so long away - will you be 7 weeks by then?
Did you transfer 2 I can't remember?

@HT2101 great numbers I hate the 5 days after collection it's the most stressful part of the whole process

@Pattaz2711 how are you doing? On your heartbeat question they like it to be over a certain level - but it's confusing as when it just starts beating then it can be a bit slow but then it should speed up. I think they want it over 120 at around 7 weeks

@mrsloub good to hear from you. Glad you're doing ok. Have you decided anymore about doing further cycles?

pattaz2711 · 17/07/2020 19:57

@ivfdreaming I'm not doing well at all.. I'm in so much pain aswell.. good news
For yourself an not going back to work xx

BabySweet85 · 17/07/2020 20:13

@ivfdreaming yes I will be seven weeks exactly. Praying for a good scan. I only transferred one. It was a 5aa but I don’t know much about grades or whether it makes a difference. My clinic only transfer one for my age (35). I have one in the freezer but they didn’t tell me the grade of that one. They only told me the grade of this one about a second before putting it back in!
That’s great they have agreed working from home. I have told my employer as you needed to a risk assessment if you are in a vulnerable group. The risk assessment basically says I will be treated as normal and social distancing isn’t guaranteed so I refused to sign it! So since I don’t have a risk assessment it was pointless me telling them so early.

BabySweet85 · 17/07/2020 20:14

@pattaz2711 sorry you are feeling in pain. What kind of pain is it?

pattaz2711 · 17/07/2020 20:16

@BabySweet85 cramping period pains I've had them all day.. an yesteday an red spotting today

ivfdreaming · 17/07/2020 20:45

@BabySweet85

A 5aa is pretty much the best you can get - I saw a medical report once that put chance of success at 50% + with a 5aa so 🤞you get a good scan

@pattaz2711

Oh no I'm sorry about the cramping and bleeding - lots of warm baths and some paracetamol xx

takingthistooseriously · 17/07/2020 21:43

@pattaz2711 I'm sorry you're going through this. I have also had cramping and spotting today and have been referred to EPU for a scan first thing tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed but it's hard not to fear the worst. When is your next scan?

Goramm · 17/07/2020 21:49

Hi All, I see I'm a little late to the game but hopefully not too late x
My wife and I are having our second IVF cycle, today is day 9pt. We had a bfp yesterday and barely any line this morning. We're only guessing what that means and are totally shocked. I know many people went through worse, it's just that it's cr*p being in the middle of my own story now.

Sending everyone good thoughts.

ivfdreaming · 18/07/2020 06:01

@takingthistooseriously

Oh no not you too. Really hope tomorrow goes ok please let us know xxx

pattaz2711 · 18/07/2020 09:47

I've woken up this morning blood everywhere..

takingthistooseriously · 18/07/2020 09:50

@pattaz2711 oh no, I'm so so sorry. If you're bleeding heavily I was told to go to A&E... I so hope you're ok xx
