@pattaz2711 good luck x

Evey43 · 15/07/2020 08:57

Thanks ladies, it’s good to know I’m not missing something.

I’m so anxious today, I feel like I could come on my period any second. I usually get bad skin and a bad tummy spring my period and both are happening. I’ve still got 2 days before I should test 😫

Xx

Evey43 · 15/07/2020 08:58

*before my period

Everhopeful35 · 15/07/2020 09:16

@pattaz2711 Good luck today, I have everything crossed for you x

BabySweet85 · 15/07/2020 09:23

@Evey43 have you done any early testing? Great willpower if not! Try not to be anxious about it and do something to try and take your mind off it for a couple of hours.

Dbrook · 15/07/2020 11:53

Bad news from me today. Had my 7 weeks scan this morning and there was no heartbeat and she couldn’t detect what she expected to see. Feel so stupid for thinking this would work out. Have no idea what to do next, can’t see the point in paying for more rounds if I just keep miscarrying.

Evey43 · 15/07/2020 11:57

@pattaz2711 good luck today

@BabySweet85 no I haven’t tested early, I’m too afraid! I’m going to be a nervous wreck waiting those 3 mins for a pregnancy test result the thought of doing it more than once will send me over the edge. I’m feeling less crampy now but spotting continues. I just feel like all my usual pre period signs are there. Was feeling pretty calm during the 2ww up until now. I will try and do something to distract myself xxx

ivfdreaming · 15/07/2020 12:21

@Dbrook

Oh no I'm so sorry! Is there definitely no chance things could change in a few days/week? Sending you lots of hugs xxx

Dbrook · 15/07/2020 12:34

Thanks @ivfdreaming. I need to make an appointment at the EPU but it sounds pretty conclusive.

Evey43 · 15/07/2020 12:39

@Dbrook I am sorry to hear that. I hope the appointment provides some answers for you xx

Everhopeful35 · 15/07/2020 12:40

@Dbrook Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Are you bang on seven weeks today? Perhaps it's still early days? Did the doctor say why she thought it was so conclusive? Sending you huge virtual hugs. xx

BabySweet85 · 15/07/2020 12:54

@Dbrook Oh im so sorry - lots of hugs sending your way. when are you going to EPU? X

Dbrook · 15/07/2020 12:59

@Everhopeful35 yes bang on 7 weeks today but the gestational sac is measuring 6w4days and she couldn’t clearly identify the crown-rump length or yolk sac. Plus no heartbeat.

HT2101 · 15/07/2020 14:00

Oh @Dbrook that’s heartbreaking to read. When can you get in to the EPU? Please don’t give up! Xx

Dbrook · 15/07/2020 14:26

Thanks @HT2101. Have an EPU appointment at 3:30.

MorgenMuffel · 15/07/2020 14:34

@Dbrook so sorry to hear that, sending you lots of love

Everhopeful35 · 15/07/2020 15:00

I'm so sad to read this. Thinking of you and hoping the EPU appointment goes well. Please, please do not give up. It's heartbreaking but everyone I've ever spoken to who has had miscarriages gets there in the end. I have a friend who had seven, tried everything and never had any issues identified - she's now six months pregnant. Another friend gave birth to her son last year after five. It's a brutal thing to go through, especially time and time again, but stay strong ❤️ We're all here if you need to talk.

takingthistooseriously · 15/07/2020 15:13

@Dbrook I'm so sorry to read this, just heartbreaking. I am keeping fingers and toes crossed for you and your EPU appointment

ivfdreaming · 15/07/2020 15:15

@dbrook

Yes please don't give up. I've lost 7 plus 2 tubes and most of my sanity. Let us know how things go we are thinking of you xxx

ivfdreaming · 15/07/2020 16:39

@Pattaz2711

How have you got on today? Xx

Dbrook · 15/07/2020 17:10

Thanks all. The EPU could see an embryo and the yolk sac but it’s measuring a full week behind at 6 weeks and no heartbeat. Have to go back in a week for their usual follow up scan.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a recurrent miscarriage clinic in London? I’ve long assumed my issue is my ageing eggs but want to rule out other factors.

pattaz2711 · 15/07/2020 17:29

@Dbrook I'm so sorry about your news my lovely.. Let us know how you get on at EPU they have a lot more experience with early, sending lots of love an vurtal hugs to you xxx

@ivfdreaming still the same have to go back again next week.. sac is very irregular again an the heartbeat is very slow.. they said to take it easy over the next few days xx

ivfdreaming · 15/07/2020 17:35

@Dbrook

I'd probably try getting referred to a Tommy's clinic. Or Dr Shehata but you'll pay about £3k for him I believe.

I've been a patient of an NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic for a while with a supposed well known specialist and if I'm honest I've found them next to useless. They'll run the same tests as the IVF clinic - actually less - they'll only do thyroid, ANAs, blood clotting etc. They don't check progesterone, they won't do NK cells, they do karyotyping, they won't test sperm fragmentation, they pack you off with a "call us when you next get a BFP and we'll see you at 6 weeks" which we by which point we both sadly know is too late to make much of a difference. And also they aren't doing early scans anyway at the moment due to covid

After all our miscarriages and no answers we decided to do a cycle with PGS testing and I suppose it did give us answers finally - poor egg quality - which is why we then swapped to natural modified IVF. We won't ever know though whether that made the difference or it was just pure chance

ivfdreaming · 15/07/2020 17:37

@pattaz2711

Did they say if the baby was measuring what it should? Or the heartbeat rate? Sounds like your little one is hanging in there so hopefully it's a little fighter and will make it through the next week x

Everhopeful35 · 15/07/2020 17:38

@Dbrook I went to the St Mary's Hospital recurrent miscarriage clinic and saw Dr Raj Rai. He's a little odd, I have to say, but he and his colleague Lesley Regan are experts in recurrent miscarriage. Lesley has even written a book on miscarriage (you can buy it on Amazon and worth a read). He diagnosed me with a couple of issues, so was very grateful I went there. I've also heard good things about Dr Shehata.
