Ivf March/April?

Hello,
Is anyone starting Ivf in March/April?
It would be nice to have some buddies.

I'm going for pre bloods and scans mid March, and expect to have egg retrieval around.

It's my first round, have been ttc for over a year and a half - unexplained infertility 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi everyone joining this group too...I should be starting 5th and final egg collection first week of March with transfer mid March....

My history - one DD and then 5 miscarriages and 2 ruptured ectopics in the last 3 years leaving me with no tubes. I did 2 cycles of short protocol with Create last year - rubbish fertilisation rates

Cycle 1 - 3 blastocysts - 1BFN and the second was my ectopic

Cycle 2 - 2 blastocysts - PGS tested - one abnormal not allowed to transfer and 1 mosaic which was a BFN

Now I've changed to natural modified IVF - a 3 cycle package - have 4 good quality embryos frozen from the first 2 cycles and this will be our final collection and we ll transfer in doubles whatever we get x

Look at us all synced together 😂
On a Positive note af has arrived on the right day to not bugger up my appointment dates later this month.

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted sounds like you have had an awfully rough time. How are you feeling?
Sounds positive about the 4 good quality embryos you have 🤞

So, turns out I totally misunderstood the time frame for this. Just received my treatment schedule and I down reg from 7th March with egg collection pencilled in for 8th April. Would you believe it, as it stands my OTD falls on my birthday. Potential to be the best or worst 37th birthday ever. Good luck to us all 🤞

Hello all! Popping in from the Feb/March thread.

Starting short protocol in late March or early April. Likely egg collection the week of the 13th.

I'm 30 with an AMH of 12.61. I have one tube, antiphospholipid syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

I'll be on gonal f, cetrotide and ovitrelle. Been on all of these before for follicle tracking. 3 chemical pregnancies.

How is everyone doing?

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted gosh you’ve had a difficult time. Glad natural modified IVF seems to be working better for you though. 🤞 for a good outcome

@bunhead34 we properly seem to be syncing already don’t we 🤣😂 Hopefully there will be a few of us together to hold hands during the dreaded 2WW

@LC1983 I start down reg on 7 March too

@ValidUser hello and welcome to the group!

Have just called the clinic today and baseline scan booked for 24 March. Annoyingly it looks like ET would fall over Easter weekend so I suspect they will extend downreg to push it later. I’ll have to clarify with the clinic what they will want to do ☹️

Hello! I'll be starting FET in March. I'm 38, partner is 45, and it will be my 4th transfer, previous 3 have resulted in 2 MMCs (at 9 and 10 weeks, second one was confirmed as a genetic issue), and then a BFN. Most of the embryos we have left have now been PGS tested and come back 'normal', and they think the BFN was due to low progesterone, so hopefully the tweaks for this cycle will result in success.

On telling work, I've found it much easier to be open with my boss and colleagues so I'm not stressing about looking like I'm skiving when I'm off to appointments at odd times, but think it depends on your relationships and the people in question. I told them I wanted no questions about whether it worked for previous cycles, and they have been very obedient!

Keeping everything crossed for all of our spring embryos!!

Hi
Just had ivf in jan there, resulted in 6 Eggs on collection, Only 1 made it the transfer at day 5 other 1 was checked at day 6 and not able to be frozen. Had outcome day on Sat there and showed faint positive but then went on to be a biochemical pregnancy.
So will be starting all over again April again.

Hi everyone. Hope it's ok for me to join in. Just waiting for AF (due in 11 days ish) to have blood test with egg collection due w/c 13th April. This is our first cycle of IVF so I'm somewhat in the dark and taking each day/appointment as they come. Starting to feel quite nervous about it all now but excited at the same time. Trying to manage my expectations somewhat as don't want to get my hopes up too high. I've been put on long protocol. Just trying to read as much as I can about it all. DH really supportive with it all. Been trying on and off for too long without success. I'm 36 now and we felt the time was right to finally get tested.

Wishing everyone the best of luck xx

Hi ladies, can I join please - I will be starting 3 cycles of natural modified IVF with my next cycle which should be in 3 weeks or so. I've had 2 failed normal IVF cycles (resulting in 2 CPs) so this is my final attempt.

I recognise some "faces" from previous threads - good luck everyone! X

@hoping1 yes we are currently under the NHS. We get 3 attempts with them which I guess we are quite lucky in that respect. Are you also through the NHS?

At least we can go through this together. Smile

#hoping1 that's crazy we are also at James Cook. We may have been in the waiting room at the same time. Smile
The consultant said they were going to divide if ICSI is required once eggs have been harvested.

This is mental that we are at the same hospital and same week and have both been posting here. It's cheered me up no end lol

Xxx

@hoping1 so did we. This is crazy. We then a a bit of a pointless appointment on the 7 Jan for hsg results then appointment to do paperwork etc on the 28 Jan. Had call with the nurses so just waiting now. God I hate waiting. It's so hard not doing anything.

AF is due in about 10 days so hopefully that will fit in. Absolutely if we can coordinate that will be fab.

I feel the same. It's one thing speaking to people on here but to actually know that someone is literally at the same point and clinic is mind blowing. Don't think chuffed quite covers it Xx

Hi ladies.
I've been waiting for my period to start, so we can kick start cycle 5!! It came one day earlier than predicted. I start my injections on 6 March. I'm not sure how I feel about entering another cycle but I'm gonna give it my everything as always... I've ordered an IVF journal on line to document everything . My diet is pretty good anyway, but I reduced red meat about a month ago and I gave up alcohol @cycle 1. I'm not gonna get too wrapped up in do's and don'ts and I'm going to stay off Google for my own good: 9 times out of 10 it has NOT been my friend!

Anyway, good luck. Chin up girls and all that jazz! X

Ps. Is anyone else doing an FET?- this will be my first.
