Hi, has anyone had fertility treatment here? What was their experience and success rates? Asking on behalf of a friend who is currently having treatment there for underlining gynaecology issues (fibroids/endometriosis) and she’s been referred here. She’ll be going down the route of donor sperm and possibly donor egg too because of her age (44).

Any feedback from people who have had treatment there would be great.

Thanks in advance.

@PA93

Hi all

I have been referred to Dr Shuba. I have PCOS and a blocked tube. We also have male factor.
I am due for an appointment next week, I think you sign consent form for a laparoscopy to remove the blockage, hopefully.

I’m glad things are progressing, but very anxious as I need to get my bmi under 30 to be approved.

Does anyone recall at what appointment they were weighed?

Hi PA,

My BMI was around 24. May I ask how much is your BMI?

I was weight when I was feeling the funding forms.

Asking for a friend who I met at the Clinic and is not on this chat.

Hi All,

Has any went thru the injection yet? My friend just start her injection she’s on her 4th day. And she’s been having some pelvic pain on one side, has anyone had the same experience? Is it serious?

PA93 · 09/03/2021 22:23

Hi Luv
It’s currently 32. I have about 13 pounds to lose.

Hi PA,

At which stage of IVF are you?

PA93 · 10/03/2021 15:24

I am waiting to have a laparoscopy and due to start my first ivf cycle in June.

PA93 · 13/03/2021 13:34

Hi Jessica
The 1:1 diet is really effective if you have quite a bit to loose. I have my funding appointment coming up and have to loose over a stone - hoping they don’t fully cancel my referral in the meantime though

PA93 · 13/03/2021 13:36

I am having my ivf criteria appointment on Tuesday. Almost want to cancel out of fear of what they might say: like cancel the whole thing.
How are you getting on?
Have you had the funding appointment yet? Do you know what happens? Thanks x

Jessica05 · 19/03/2021 20:25

Hellooo my lovely ladies,

I hope you are all well.

Hi Ladies, I hope you’re all doing well xx I just needed to vent somewhere Im feeling overwhelmed somewhat anxious about going back to the fertility clinic and having FET, its been a while. Some factors are I lost my job and now only my husband is working. Theres no burden he does make enough but I was hoping to get maternity pay so hes not burdened, my mother and husband are saying get it done what if you lose your chance!? I just feel if I had some time to get back to work settle myself then go ahead and try for the frozen embryo transfer knowing I have done what I can to be financially reasonably ok. I just constantly feel Im not ready to be pregnant! Confused

Tals812 · 21/03/2021 13:25

Hello all.
@PA93, hope the diet is going well. I'm on soup for tea 4 times a week and lost 3 lbs last week, another 16lbs to go, argh!!
Fear is understandable, hope the criteria appointment went well.
@Jessica05, not far with mine, hoping to hear back soon.
@maria212having said that, if you feel you're not ready to be pregnant then that's a decision only you can make. Good luck with it all. Its an emotional roller coaster for sure.

Jessica05 · 29/03/2021 20:47

Hello lovely people, has anyone done a frozen transfer?

Jessica05 · 12/04/2021 17:52

Hi All, how are u guys getting on with your treatment?

PA93 · 13/04/2021 16:39

Hi @Jessica05
Not great my end. Croydon are saying they can’t do my laparoscopy yet as they are only doing critical surgery, not even on a waiting list. So even longer wait now. Trying to find somewhere else to do it as it’s looking like after summer which would be 3 years now.
How are you getting on on your journey?
Hope things are moving along for you.

Jessica05 · 13/04/2021 19:28

Hi PA93,

I’m so sorry, did you ask dr subha if she can as the laparoscopy team to give you an early appointment?

Mine going ok at the moment. Has anyone here had egg collection and transfer yet?

Aim2912 · 21/04/2021 22:32

Hi All, new here and came across the thread as we have been recently referred to CUH with Dr Shuba after a year or so TTC and a previous diagnosis of endo. Next steps for us are cycle monitoring scans and AMH test during my next cycle. Interested to hear how other are getting on who have previously commented here and had treatment? Good luck to all xx

Jessica05 · 02/05/2021 10:33

Hi lovely laddies, how are you all?
How’s your treatment going on.
Anyone had a FET Transfer recently or going to have. Please let me know how is it going?

Mummy5555 · 07/05/2021 20:45

Hi All,
I hope you are well. I’m currently having my treatment with Dr Subha.
And been told to use the Cyclogest pessaries, is anyone in this group using in the back passage?

Aim2912 · 09/05/2021 22:01

Hi all, I've ended up going private, as croydon kept messing me around. My bmi was not below 30 on my funding appointment, I then said i will pay. They accepted, then just on my scanning appointment I was told to loose more weight. As even for private Dr shuba wants it at 32. I was initially told it was 35. Other private clinics accept you with a bmi of 35 and below.

Aim2912 · 09/05/2021 22:10

@Mummy5555 I used those with my first ivf, after ec. But they are suppose to go in the vagina not the back passage. Just call the nurse to check this. Its to help your lining grow. Not sure if your using them for the same thing.

Mummy5555 · 15/05/2021 14:49

Aim2912 thank you for your message.
I had the pessaries in the back passage for 5 days and not in the vagina, Iv notice that I’m having some leakage and it’s itchy down are you guys having the same?

Pals812 · 18/05/2021 00:21

@Mummy5555, I think pessaries should be going into the front, not back passage. They won't help with fertility in the back passage.

Mummy5555 · 19/05/2021 17:40

Hi Pals,

Thank you very much for your advise, I’ve talked to the nurse and switch the pessaries to the front thank thank I’m not having thrush, but it’s very messy, I can see it coming out most of the time.

Hope your treatment is going well?
And at which stage are you guys?
Thanks
