Hi, has anyone had fertility treatment here? What was their experience and success rates? Asking on behalf of a friend who is currently having treatment there for underlining gynaecology issues (fibroids/endometriosis) and she’s been referred here. She’ll be going down the route of donor sperm and possibly donor egg too because of her age (44).

Any feedback from people who have had treatment there would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, my husband and I have been TTC for nearly 3 years now. Referred to Croydon Fertility clinic after my appointment with an endocrinologist about my high prolactin (on meds now) we’ve waited 4 months but we have our video call with the fertility Dr in a few weeks. I’m a little anxious about it all so I wanted to ask what to expect from the video call. Really hoping to move things along. Thank you x

Hi Ladies, i hope everyone is doing well. I was put on the waiting list for myomectomy to remove Fibroids last year. That was about 10 months ago. Dr Shuba had said she would arrange for me to speak to Dr G who would be doing the surgery before then but I got a call last week to say they want to book me in for an operation in April. They were surprised nothing had been arranged for me to speak to Dr G. I think they have requested for him to call me but now I have had a pre op appointment booked and sent ofor March. Has anyone had surgery at Croydon with Dr G? If yes is he usually at the pre op assessment or is it mainly the nurses? I’ve tried to get through to gynaecology all day but had no luck and starting to feel anxious about all of this without having had a consultation with the Dr doing the surgery. Also has anyone had a myomectomy with Dr G before. If yes what was the experience like including recovery time.? I’ll be grateful to anyone able to share.🙂

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, I know this is a longshot question as I think most people are just starting their fertility journey . i was wondering if anyone has gone through their first round of ivf - (failed) what was your next step? Did you go for second round and do they offer that in Croydon or somewhere else? What is the cost if you stay with nhs (but still have to pay?)

Has anyone gone private in the Croydon area or can recommend a good private fertility treatment clinic elsewhere?

I have a appointment soon with Dr Subha and im on my last embryo so I am wondering what the next step would be? I was considering to further investigate what the reasons are but im unsure they do this in the fertility unit - hence the thoughts of investigating and treating privately.

Im also over 40 so not sure if I will have many options left! I imagine my AMH and follicular count are very low ! Hopefully i can get a blood test for this. i havent had period in many months now which possibly indicates perimenopause..worried now what the next steps would be!

grateful for any advice xx

Hi Mariya989 I really like Mr Gudi from Fertility Plus. I found he was just easy to talk to and had a great approach to looking at the cause of infertility.

I have had the worst experience with croydon fertility. Depsite being on their books since 2019 - in that time I've seen Dr Ganjewar and Dr Shuba a total of 5 times in person and had 2 video calls. Throughout it all I've been told my BMI is too high and made to feel ashamed about not being able to lose weight. Ive since sought help through the fertility suite in oxted who have looked in detail at my auto immune profile (i have several autoimmune conditions), wll of which ar factors in weight loss and Fertility. Today Dr Shuba was 45 mins late for my appointment and with no apology told me i was old and i should seek to use an egg donor via a clinic in the czech republic before telling me to come back to start my ivf journey with her asap - but as i am 42 "my chances are exceedingly low". She told me it would have been a different story had i come before 40 (i first saw her for my fertility in 2019 when i was 37). They have wasted my precious time, failed to treat me as a person, fat shamed me and generally caused me so much stress and anxiety it's no wonder i haven't conceived. Now i am having to pay to go private her and Dr Ganjewar seem to have more time for me (shocking) but even then my appointments are rushed, stressful and confusing. I will be seeking help elsewhere. Somewhere where i am at least considerd a person. The fertility suite in oxted have so far been amazing and so helpful and reassuring. I just hope they can help me and it isn't too late.
