@doomkittycleo amazing news so happy for you!!!

seven201 · 28/10/2019 14:54

@doomkittycleo that is fantastic. So on Thursday they decide which of the ten currently looks the best, pop that one in then store the rest? Or is it likely a couple might not make it to day 5? You've done so well getting such great eggs - well done!

doomkittycleo · 28/10/2019 16:24

@seven201 that’s the ultimate question!

They’ll call me again tomorrow to let me know how they’re getting on. Some may not make it to Thursday, but with them being such good quality I wouldn’t be surprised if we get several Frosties too.

At least that way if I don’t get a bfp or have a miscarriage I’ll still have a few frozen ones to transfer rather than having to do a full cycle of stimulating injections again.

The access fertility package we paid for includes unlimited frozen embryo transfers for a year, plus another full fresh cycle if we didn’t have any frozen ones left.

That cost £6600 (excluding medications).

seven201 · 28/10/2019 17:15

@doomkittycleo thanks for that. That's the package we're looking at doing too, although mine is more expensive, presumably because I'm old Hmm. Although not sure if we'll go for the single full round - but I don't have a cost for that yet.

Your round really does sound like it's going really well Smile

Thideboo1 · 28/10/2019 17:42

Hi ladies I'm.new can I join? I started my clomid last month x

seven201 · 28/10/2019 22:25

Welcome @Thideboo1 . Do you want to tell us your story/ttc history? You don't have to.

I've just been told by long sympathetic text, that somehow makes it worse (but was obviously thoughtful of them), that my friend is 16 weeks pregnant. I'm happy for her, but so jealous! Also, had already agreed to go to a sort of surprise bday meet up for her in a couple of weeks and I'm sure the convo will naturally be mainly baby focused! Gah! I must stop being so sodding jealous!

Thideboo1 · 29/10/2019 06:26

Thank you @seven201 yea sure, I have a 13 year old boy from previous relationship, my partner has a 9 year old from previous, we have been trying for 4 and a half years now, had lots of tests and scans only to be told everything is fine, I started my clomid last month but I'm now on day 34 of my cycle and my cycle is normally 20-24 days long, sometimes I have a period twice in a month, I done a test last week and was negative, I dont really know what to do or expect now. X

seven201 · 29/10/2019 06:50

Gosh 4.5 years. That must be so tough. How weird that it's made your short cycle so very long. Do you know when you ovulated this cycle?

Thideboo1 · 29/10/2019 07:05

No, according to my blood test I didnt ovulate at all, but I'm un-sure x

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 08:11

@thideboo1 they might up the dose next month, it’s what they did for me and I’m apparently on maximum dose now

Any body got any positive OPKS or updates yet?

CD6, no more bleeding so going to get on it tonight, invested in some clear blue OPK for this month and a private scan 🤯

gwen7896 · 29/10/2019 08:50

Woke up in the middle of the night because of really bad stomach cramps. Didn’t get these during my first round :( Has anybody else experience bad stomach cramps? x

CharlotteCx · 29/10/2019 09:02

Does anyone suffer hot flushes during the night on Clomid? Past 2 nights I've woken up several times soooooo hot.

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 09:09

@gwen7896 yep I get cramps sort of midcycle

@CharlotteCx yep I think the way it imitates hormone is apparently similar to menopause symptoms so hot flushes etc. Makes me terrified to have the menopause. Although when I got pregnant I was then constantly hot too

CharlotteCx · 29/10/2019 09:44

@Goingbacktokansascity isn't it awful! I got it on my 1st cycle too but not as bad as this cycle. Was awake every hour sweating lol. CD9 today. We haven't dtd since Saturday. My fertile window is meant to open on Friday, I haven't been doing opks either. I'm not being as frantic as I was last cycle as that really stressed me. I know when I'll ovulate this time so will start dtd tomorrow - least OHs sperm would of built again.

How r you feeling?

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 12:10

@CharlotteCxBooking a scan for CD 10 to see if we can see what’s happening, wanting the months to hurry as everyone seems to be getting pregnant. Will also be starting the ball rolling for IVF early next year as I don’t think I’m going to keep doing this month after month like last time!

CharlotteCx · 29/10/2019 12:54

@Goingbacktokansascity ah ok that's a good poa, why is it that they've put you on Clomid again? I'm CD9 and just done a cb opk and it's flashing smiley. Is that not to early to be flashing? My fertile window isn't meant to open until Friday x

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 13:34

@CharlotteCx you don’t ovulate the same day every month so maybe you’ll ovulate earlier this month. I’m not on clomid, I’m on letrozole which is slightly different, I’m on it because I don’t ovulate naturally or with clomid. Letrozole is slightly different in that it has a lower chance of multiples and is useful if you have a thin lining.
It took me 6 months to ovulate last year and I got pregnant first ovulation

CharlotteCx · 29/10/2019 14:21

@Goingbacktokansascity oh do you not? I'm learning something new every day lol. I had a 29 day cycle on my first cycle of Clomid. I ovulated CD14 or 15. I was hoping I'd ovulate on the same day every month as they've regulated my cycles, as then I know where I am! Iv got like yellowy creamy CM (sorry tmi) and I put it into my app and it says 'this Cm means your a few more day away until ovulation' We'll see! I haven't got the burning sensation in my ovarys this month, but I can feel something going on down there.

Do you not ovulate on your own due to pcos? I have never heard of the medication you are on, it's good you fell pg on your first cycle last year though! how did you know you had thin lining was that due to scans? How many months left of the medication your on? This is very mentally draining isn't it ... conceiving takes over your whole thought process when your finding it hard. Does my head in 😅

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 14:47

@CharlotteCx not the exact same day every month nope.
I have PCOS, I didn’t get pregnant first cycle with my son, but first cycle that I ovulated, took 2 years to get to that point. I feel I just got lucky with him as my PCOS is very severe with an AMH through the roof which correlates with poor response to drugs unfortunately

Beth804 · 29/10/2019 15:36

Hi girls - can I join please? First post ever, although I am a long time lurker!!

CharlotteCx · 29/10/2019 15:41

@Goingbacktokansascity what was your AMH levels can you remember? And what is AMH can you fill me in. I had my CD2 blood tests last month and my FSH levels were 7.7 & LH 19, Testosterone 1.9 & Oestradiol 1.48, the nurse who told me these results said the only slightly elevated one was the Testosterone, by looking @ them results what would you say? How do you go about getting the AMH bloods, just request it from dr?

Yes you certainly did get lucky! Just makes it that bit harder as you think to yourself come on body you did it last time, do it again!! (Falling pregnant I mean) Did your pcos stop you having periods completely? I feel like my body is failing me completely, as stupid as that sounds. I think I'm a woman I should be able to do this no bother, sucks!! 😒

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 15:41

@Beth804 hey and welcome! Is it your first month on clomid?

Beth804 · 29/10/2019 15:45

Hi - thanks! I'm currently on my second cycle of Clomid - 1st one didn't work so I had to take norethisterone again to start cycle 2. I feel like I might actually ovulate this cycle, been taking opks and they look a lot more positive than last month so fingers crossed!!! Pre-clomid I had reeeeeeally long cycles and hardly ever ovulated so chances of conceiving were very slim! Been trying about 18 months and already have a miracle dd1 who is 3.

Goingbacktokansascity · 29/10/2019 15:51

fingers crossed @Beth804, what CD are you just now? We had a few positive tests last month so hopefully even more this month
