everyone,
I've started a new thread for people starting treatment this month. I'm hoping to make some new friends with people who understand how hard this journey is. Hopefully we can have some fun whilst getting on with the treatment.
This is my first cycle of ivf/icsi so any treatment buddies please say hello.

So 9 days from the first day taking it ?

GreyC · 27/09/2019 09:55

9 days untill my first scan to check. I think it was 2 weeks in total with stimming and trigger shock.

Stacey2007 · 27/09/2019 22:13

I just need to ask a quick question, we was told to try do our injections round the same time every night but my partner is out tomorrow night and he does my injections ( I couldn’t do them on my own) would it hurt if they got done just a couple of hours difference for one day?

GreyC · 28/09/2019 07:40

I did them within a half an hour window. I’m not sure on how leanent they are. Could you ring them today or try yourself?

Parkandride · 28/09/2019 08:23

The trigger must be exactly on time but theres a bit of leeway for the others, but I wouldn't want to go 2 hours personally. Maybe ring your clinic to check?

I sometimes did, say, 7pm one day, 6.30pm the next and 6pm the third but I wouldnt have skipped straight from 7pm to 6pm if that makes sense?

Can you get a friend to jab you? I didn't want to do any myself but had to suck it up one night, it was ok x

LillyLeaf · 28/09/2019 09:38

I hope you're all getting on ok. I'm still struggling to decide what to do next, a FET or retrieval with or without a FET (I need to check with the clinic I can do a FET after ec). We're just going around in circles with our thoughts.

facevalue · 28/09/2019 10:13

@LillyLeaf that's really tough. just bring pen and paper and write pros and cons. if u do another cycle or even two and nothing is normal then what!? think if the deal you have with the clinic will void if you don't do the FET if money is important.

i'm not sure what is best but i would just do the FET with that one cos if it doesn't work you are then fully committed to the next cycles without the false reassurance of that frozen normal embryo ..

it's so so tough. i'm not in your shoes so obviously your decision will be based on your own experience and what suits you bd your hubby x

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 28/09/2019 11:09

@LillyLeaf
I'm not sure about ec and FET although I suppose it's not much different to a fresh transfer thinking about it.....It's actually a good idea! X

Maggie272 · 28/09/2019 11:16

Hi everyone!

Had my 5 day transfer on Monday, I cracked today and tested early, 5dp5dt. Got a positive line, but afraid it's the trigger, which was 12 days ago, and 10000 of Gonasi. If you're going to burst my bubble, be gentle! M x

facevalue · 28/09/2019 11:33

@maggie272 why burst your bubble. just enjoy anything positive even if it's man made! i always thought the bravest tested early. i'm a coward and NEVER tested a day before my OTD in 5 cycles. i just can't cope with false positive or negative it would have been hell to deal with for me cos i over think things ...

enjoy it and just hope it's positive again next week on OTD xxxx rest and take your vitamins and pessaries as recommended

fingers crossed

Maggie272 · 28/09/2019 11:36

@facevalue thank you! yes, i can't wait the full two weeks. I'd rather prepare myself and see the line getting darker or lighter. I'm a happy kind of person, and haven't ever been devestated by negatives, just more prepared for that final negative and ready to go again xxx

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 28/09/2019 19:16

Well 2 5BB blasts biopsied for PGS today and they'll ring me tomorrow about the one which was an early blast today to say whether it's progressed for biopsy

Not sure how I feel really.
If we weren't doing PGS I'd feel happy with having 2 in the freezer but just feel like the odds are stacked against us and that both will be abnormal. Going to be a long 3 weeks x

Maggie272 · 29/09/2019 07:42

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted will be thinking of you, the waiting is so hard
xxx

Maggie272 · 29/09/2019 07:44

just did another test this morning, the line is darker, without a doubt. still don't want to get my hopes up but i can't help it!

facevalue · 29/09/2019 11:34

@Maggie272 fingers crossed

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted all the best - you only need one to stick x

LillyLeaf · 30/09/2019 09:44

@Maggie272 that's fantastic news, fingers crossed.

@itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted I absolutely understand how hard this pgs testing is, but unfortunately you'll just have to wait for the results. I drove myself crazy thinking about what the outcome will be. Please don't let my poor results worry you, there is very chance you'll get a good result.

After having a crazy 4 days going around in circles trying to decide what to do next we are going to do a FET and continue with our access program. I don't think there was a right or wrong answer here. If we were to do another retrieval cycle the cost of IVF plus icsi plus pgs plus drugs was an awful lot. So I'll be starting buserelin on Sunday to down reg (which I remember being awful) which a transfer early November.

Stacey2007 · 30/09/2019 20:08

Hi ladies I’ve been on gonal f since Thursday I’ve got a appointment on Wednesday. I’m hoping I’m nearly at the end of my injecting time 😩 please tell me I am? How long do you normally stay on gonal f ? X

facevalue · 01/10/2019 09:58

@Stacey2007 oh i hope it goes well. you seem very anxious about the injections. can you have a heart to heart with your clinic nurse. also if you go on youtube there are so many women sharing their ivf journey and talking about the injections etc .. really helpful. i can't remember the details. i didn't use gonal f last cycle so i can't help with this xxxx fingers crossed

Stacey2007 · 01/10/2019 10:55

Thankyou.... I think because I’ve been so miserable and not myself with them I just can’t wait to finish them 🙉 it seems like I’ve been doing them for months 😂 thanoyou I will look xx

drminion · 02/10/2019 10:08

Morning ladies! Sorry I've been hiding the last few days but emotions are running high!
I had a double blastocyst embryo transfer 10 days ago and today I tested negative :( I did the test 6 days before the OTD but I couldn't resist, any experience with false negatives?
I had cramps and very sore boobs for a week (taking progesterone) but the symptoms have subsided and I'm not feeling much lately. Feeling pretty negative about everything and not sure what to do next...
Congrats to all of you BFPs!! and my sympathy to all the women in the 2WW, its absolute hell! hang on there and DON'T TEST EARLY if you can avoid it!

facevalue · 02/10/2019 17:51

@drminion oh no. but it's so early isn't it? you still have a whole week to actually test. please don't assume it's over until OTD result x 2WW is hell. testing early is brave - i never did and can't cos it's meaningless until test day x massive virtual hug from here

drminion · 02/10/2019 19:47

@facevalue I know, I was a bit stupid testing early! feeling a bit better now but the wait and uncertainty during the last two weeks it's probably one of the hardest things I've ever experienced...I'll test again on Tuesday and will try not to think about anything for the whole weekend :)
Thanks for the virtual hug, much appreciated :)

facevalue · 02/10/2019 20:53

@drminion you are NOT stupid. be kind to yourself. lots of women test early and the clinic know this happens that's why they give you the earliest trustworthy date for a true positive or negative result xxxx just forget this test and eat well and nurture your body until Tuesday

Maggie272 · 03/10/2019 18:21

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok! Just wanted to give an update - a weird one! Tested early, but have been getting positive pregnancy tests from 5dp5dt, today is day 10 and I just got my period - properly, and am still getting positive tests. Today was the darkest line on the test so didn't see that coming. We are fine - of course a bit upset, but we have a good life and I love my husband so much...a baby would have been the cherry on top, but we have a great life on the happiness-metre. I'm expecting that when I test again tomorrow and Saturday the line will be getting lighter, but I had expected that would have started happening when I started spotting on Tuesday ( day 7), but it just kept getting darker.

@drminion you are not stupid, I tested early because I like to get a gradual idea of what's happening...I hate the build up to the OTD. I'm still glad I tested early.

M x

facevalue · 03/10/2019 19:31

@Maggie272 oh babe. your test is still positive so please wait until test date to test finally and let your clinic know

i am currently in another thread of pregnant ladies - a few having bleeding and still pregnant they just wait for a blood test and scan etc . it's enlightening because a bleed is not it x u have a strong line . did u try clearblue? that will tell weeks pregnant too
